I really hope they include the Super Mario backgrounds as well. DO YOU HEAR US, KONAMI? WE WANT SUPER MARIO BACKGROUNDS! Can't believe they didn't put that in. That's actually a genuine surprise.

:P so when's the announcement about the announcement of the the patch with no patch notes? I want my cartoon backgrounds. Maybe if the marketing department do an announcement about the announcement for the announcement for the undetermined patch then it'll keep their customers happy?

I havent posted on this thread for some time, but ffs, please just go and try Fifa and adjust the sliders. You'll enjoy it, it's really much improved and comparable to last gen pes. Can't believe people will still buy a konami game again after what's happened this year.
I bought fifa 14 and it's only the 2nd fifa game i have bought EVER.
I have to agree that after moving the sliders about i am really enjoying the game, believe me i didn't think i would.

Hopefully they get pes 2014 sorted though as there is a lot to like about it.

Today the announcement of the announcement arrived in Adam's Tweet: Today the patch details will arrive :)
Let's hope they fixed all bugs, as the game depends on it: It is a failure or a last minute recovery.

Hell, yeah, that's announcing the announcement as expected!

OK step 1 of information released today. Expect some info on datapack and patch, along with screens of new faces today #PES2014

Winning Eleven 2014 Asia Version, PS3, Professional, 30 min match. Offline. Best football game ever!

14th november we'll get the Japanese Version. Winning Eleven is always better than PES version.

Don't buy European version, Konami always fails trying to make a FIFA-esque version for European users.

Reading all that negative feedback we can rename this forum to fifa-web.co.uk....

Its the same game. dear me talk about the placebo effect.

Exactly. Except for one off version (WE9LE for Korean market), WE and PES are the same gameplay wise.

Played both screen-to-screen and difference was... JFA and it's content is licensed and used in Winning Eleven.

They just release game later, with bug fixes applied.

Hello people. I have not been here in a while.

I haven't played this game in a month and wont until I get a flat.

Was thinking today about PES. Its grest to have these breakd from the game and you can gather a balanced perespective of it.

We do become very highly strung over football games.

I think with all the new engine and tech. Pes will take some time to get going consistently. Giving us time to get to know what is to come.

Since you mentioned WE9LE, then I take it you mean the PS2 versions too. In that case, no they're not exactly the same. What was better depends on people's preferences. PES players were slightly heavier with more powerful shots while WE players were lighter and so dribbling and movement was easier but shooting was less powerful. These are the two obvious differences gameplay wise.

I agree, fondness makes the heart grow stronger as they say. And I don't mean "heart" as in the PES 2014 sense. ;)

You're also right about the new engine needing time to work properly but I would add that maybe Konami should iron out the issues in house rather than impose them on its customers to discover and become majorly fed up about.

An updated PES 2013 with fixed ML would have sufficed while they perfected the new engine for next-gen.

Now we get news of faces and boots and on-line modes with just some hint at "game tweaks". No apology to what is obviously a disgruntled community. It's an insult.

After reading the blog post on WENB about the new DLC I think there is proof that Konami has not been able to solve even the most important problems, let alone ALL problems.
If they managed to do that, they would have listed all fixes, as every company would do with a patch.
That wasn't the case in this instance. Adam carefully formulated around the problem, saying "There has been a lot of feedback from you guys, the PES community and it will show in the next data pack". He did not say WHAT from the feedback was fixed. He hided something and if you hide something it is in this case easy to guess that it has to do with problems to fix.
Another annoyance is the lack of the release date of the DLC. Maybe a sign that they are still fixing problems and that this article was just a matter of winning time?

There's just nothing to get excited about with that announcement. It's like they've only been working on kits and faces, and boots and maybe a surprise Super Mario background, and then they're throwing in a "and some gameplay tweaks" at the end, because they've taken away the trajectory thing when taking a freekick or something completely irrelevant like that.

So I'm predicting it's at least another couple of months before we're actually going to see a gameplay patch for this game.

Bro, I see what you mean, but that just sounds so wrong

No, haven't you heard? Konami have added a new WE United PES City type of team - Skullfuck Hotspur, they all have rhino's heads and crocodiles for boots. Supposedly really fun to play with.

Fuck the faces! What about keepers rooted to the goal lines 1 on 1?! What about slowdown and choppy effects? What about AI that plays differently from team to team aaaaaaaargh

Why fuck the faces? Surely, gameplay fix is 1st priority, no question on that but my eyes also hurt with those current generic faces.

The face of well-known players is also among the issues they need to fix. Don't forget that. ;)

I hear you but why are 'gameplay tweaks' a simple little footnote?!

Tbh i couldnt care less if rafael looks like sideshow bob and riquelme looks like a vulcan warrior.

Gameplay is king!

I am disappointed too with no details of gameplay fix today.

Anyway, i just found a bug today, 3 players are fighting for header inside box. Never seen this before during my 2 ML season, normally only 2 players lol. I'll upload a vid later.

I've never had more two players fighting for a header. It does my head in as it was something present in previous games.

Konami doesn't like to talk about bugfixes or gameplay changes. Nonetheless they will fix and change quite a few things. But will it be for the better and will it be enough?

So, today, Adam's twitter tells us to expect an announcement today with information about data pack AND patch details.

Later, they post data pack pictures, and Adam signs off the information extravaganza by saying the next step is to bring details of fixes and release date, 'hopefully soon'.

Didn't they say we were getting patch info today, not 'hopefully soon'?

So I was right, today was an announcement about an announcement of an announcement. What is wrong with Konami?
