Nov 14 is the release date for Japan ver of Winning Eleven

What is available in the market now is Asian ver of WE2014 so do not get confuse with the Japan ver as J League (if Konami is releasing) it will only be compatible with the Japan ver an not the Asian ver

Also not sure this year is there's English text support for Japan ver of the game. Asian ver there is English text.

So those who wish to import do know what u are buying first

This is the actual cover of the Japan ver of WE and clearly u can see Japan team is licensed. Asian ver of the game is the same cover as PES

Is there an option to turn off Player Emotions and set Condition to normal in League Mode? You can do this for Exhibition Matches and it seems to play a better game.
 
I think the Heart feature comes down to player reactions, wonder if it's always been under the hud as it would go some way in explaining the bipolar nature of the series. Some days you switch on and no-one can get near you, other days you can't string a pass together. FIFA has it similar with chemistry.
 
This game is imho great. At times I thought it became a bit Fifa-like, but that was only because of the looks, the new animation-engine and the bigger player-models. So yes in that sense it became a bit like Fifa, but that's because reallife football matches look that way.

Regarding gameplay it's not like Fifa, there is much more variation and satisfaction to be had imho.

Yesterday I had a problem with my team leaving open the wings while defending so that the opponent CPU would always make those long passes to the wings where the opponent winger is always free and therefore a lot of goal-opportunities occurred that way for the CPU.

Today I played with the tactical setup to change that and the key here was playersupport. It seems like it works counter to the way one thinks: The higher the playersupport is set, the less close the players operate to each other. So I set it on 15/20 and now the wings can be guarded.

Like I said great game but to set up tactical settings right is very important, especially when using custom settings.

But the good thing is the settings do really transport well onto the pitch, but experimentation is needed to get to know in which direction the changes happen when lowering or raising the numbers.

The problems I saw so far with the game:

1. Generic tactical setups are not good.
2. Playerawareness: Sometimes the ball would be loose and my defender doesn't go for it eventhough he could and even though it's in my penalty area, and trying to switch to him doesn't work or much too late.
3. Animation is great and all, but sometimes I feel like it could be a bit more reactive and flexible in certain urgent situations.
4. Some type of fouls are not seen by referees.

Playing by the way on gamespeed -2 and all manual with exception of shooting. I found manual shooting to be a bit too complicated to aim right.

I'm very happy so far with my goalkeeper this year, he is pretty stable and reliable.

It is known that they toned down the growth this year, so no one will end up with all players with 99+ after a few seasons. But I wouldn´t be surprised that actually the system is unfinished, like other things in this pre patched version.

The Fifa 14 patch is already out for PC, but those having used it complained that gameplay became way faster and that inertia got reduced.

Probably EA just reacted to the youtubers who want a more arcadish version of Fifa 14.

Hopefully Konami doesn't react to those wishing a more arcadish version of PES 2014.

I've never been so addicted to a PES game in all my life. And that's saying something !!

I was up till 6am again this morning, I was at work at 11 am. It was 3.30am the day before, with an 8.30 start at work. I can't get off the bloody thing. :CONFUSE:

My fiancé is away in Turkey for a week with her sister, she gets back Monday, and I've sure as hell took advantage of my free PES time.

Can't wait to get home tonight for a marathon season on ML. Just started one with Sau Paulo, can't beat a bit of Brazilian action to mix it up. :)

This game; I'm embarrassed to mention it. How to make peace with the fans who're fooled with the latest games with just only update kit and transfer players and they have to pay dearly for it. Each year the Game was always in trouble with the gameplay, where the fans had to edit it. From year to year like that only ...

PES 2014 a new product where the shortage is licence and faces of players, game play and animation into a magical this year. and the Fans are very understand with their position in editing.

I´m quite happy with one thing. The form arrows finally are better. Now, even on purple, I can use all my players and they don´t behave like total morons on field. The thing I´ve seen is that they get more tired then other players with better form.

It seems like there is less instances of purple down and red up arrows as well. Most weeks in my master league I can play the same defence which is something I could rarely do in previous years.

I just entered the third year of an ML with Utrecht and Nouhei has developed from 68 to 70 and he was signed in the very first transfer window. In 2013 he would already be 80-85. I like it this way. He has great heart, as a Youth player, and is useful late in games and in cup ties.
 
Removed the patch. The patch-less game is so exciting, happening and unpredictable. I love it that way, like the good old PES we know. Patch made the whole game dull and every game was a tight affair. Removed the patch and the joy is back! This is the best PES/WE ever.

It needs a nip here and a tuck there, but for me it's a winner and I love the way it feels. I did not like PES 2008-2013 and always went back to PES 5, but this is the game that has finally put me in a situation where I can't go back to 5. I think the new physics and animations has made a world of difference.
 
The use of LT (xbox360) is imho essential, even more than the special button RB (I use RT for running).

With LT one gets the close control of the ball one needs to change direction securely and controlled, and without losing so much time as in using RB that causes the player to use the foot and roll around the ball with it.

At this moment FIFA is better than PES, cause it does what it is supposed to, regardless of being realistic or not. KONAMI should really work on this. People say allot about FIFA, but every year it does wat is is supposed to. that's just a fact.

We will have to wait till november. also still no steam release, both shocking indeed.

This is just bullshit. I can do compilations about keeper howlers ALL day long. Yes, it does mean those fucking howlers happen in 1 game out of 2 :/.

This is beyond a joke. It's game breaker. Whatever klashman and others say, GOALKEEPERS are BROKEN and massive GAME BREAKER not only for me. Believe me, people online will MOAN much more, especially as it can happen anytime in game, be it 1st 5 mins or last 5. Losing a game because of above is just a joke.

Strange, what platform are you playing on? For me on xbox360 my goalkeeper is very solid, hasn't made a single mistake yet. Knock on wood.:))

PC. I bet PC is the most problematic platform. 2nd would be PS3. Least problems reported are on X360.

KONAMI is just being KONAMI :D (how can you have problems with PS3 - it is your fecking home grown console?! - that's what I meant :P).

I still love this game, but the flaws it has, are not making it as enjoyable experience as it could have been!

Thanks for this clarification mate, I was actually confusing general Asian ver with the Japan one. I have an Hong Kong PSN account and I found Asian ver of the WE demo to have the eng support language but I was mistakenly believing it was the same as Japan one.

I've played over 100 games now and have had about 3 howlers. None of them bothered me though. Real football games are loaded with mistakes. In fact, most things don't go to plan in football. definitely not a gamebreaker.

I play on PC like I said, that platform and PES on it, has huge problems. Maybe it's different on PS3/X360, but here, it's game breaker. Not only for me, but my mates too (who have tournament experience).

So yes, it is a problem.

Ah, wasn't aware you were on the personal computer. I play on the PS3 so I can't really opine about that then. Does seem much more prevalent on that platform by the sounds of it.
