Sad thing is -- I know that. I didn't pay enough attention as I was flabbergasted the sprung the counter off the corner kick that quickly.

Hmm. Maybe I shouldn't send both CBs up for corners. :))
 
I think the best settings will be Top Player with 15-20 min matches. Manual passing or 1 bar. Superstar can be way too easy, its like the CPU gets deorganized and looses composure too often.

Just had my third game in CL home against Zenit. Damn, I could not reach the box one single time! They won a goal that resulted from their high pressure, forcing me to make a bad pass in defence, instead I gave the ball away to Hulk near my box... 0-1.

What a great match. Had to shoot in long distances but no luck. Their midfield was great, their defence was amazing. I had no chance, and I loved it lol.

Thats actually refreshing! You couldn´t catch Lima? Sometimes I think the catch up feature is too overpowered because I can always catch CPU attackers. If that happened, I think its a good thing!
 
Half a season to a master league. It definitely improves as your players get more heart and used to playing.

2nd in the French league and bottom of my champions league group with Lyon. Sometimes get slowdown but can cope with it.

I find speed and agility stat makes a big difference to player reactions and movement. Get rid of slow defenders as they will get hammered by decent players.

Anyone got any suggestions for easily available god players ?

As soon as he received the pass he took a long touch forward, two touches in to the box and went bottom right. I had zero chance.
 
More I play the game, it's good stuff.......and i've only played 6-7 friendlies....
Passing is gorgeous.......tried some first time crosses or shots....there's such a difference in timing...
This game is good so far....let's see how it goes.
Waiting for a US option file so I can start a ML or tournament
 
I've decided to never, ever use the through pass button. It really don't like using it, it locks on too much and often is really powerful even when you tap it. Gonna use manual pass instead.

Loving the game on longer game times though.

If you're going to use the manual pass for through balls, you should make the switch to manual controls. It's a lot more rewarding - the only issue is that the controlled shots seem to be broken at the minute.
 
I had a go at going back to Top Player as some people claim it's easier than Superstar, but I'm just not seeing it. The COM seems to knock the ball about much better on Superstar, the defensive pressure is much better and the 20-30 minute games seem to eliminate the long through balls.

I found on Top Player, they just don't press you when you have the ball, and in particular it's far too easy to pressure a defender and steal the ball off them, leading to a cheap goal scored. So I think I'm sticking to Superstar.

Scored this goal tonight, it's my favourite goal ever scored in any PES game, unfortunately the replay only shows about 30% of the move leading up to the goal. Boateng pretty much ran from his own half using the right stick to drop feints and change direction before hammering home.

Another goal, Balotelli uses his strength to hold off the defender, again using the right stick, and hits as close as I've come to a long range goal. It seemed a bit easy to turn the defender, but hey ho.....

Last goal though, shows the sublime and the ridiculous in PES. I scored this header, and that's not good keeping. At all.

I realised that CPU players shoot always to near post in penalty box, always.

No variation. I think it can be considered as a BUG and should be adressed, so annoying.
 
I noticed that when the CPU is in a crossing position they almost always pass it low to the near post rather than put in a proper cross. It totally bamboozles the keeper and defenders, and is really annoying to defend against.

Why don't you just download it with a PC and put it on your console with a USB stick? This method was publicised a long while back. I don't understand why people aren't doing it...

How is that 'the point'? The point is, if you want the data pack installed, get it via the PC and use a USB stick to transfer it.

Of course Konami should fix 'that shit'. But refusing to use the workaround won't get it fixed any quicker. It's cutting your nose off to spite your face.
 
My computer's out of action so I can't do the community fix. I'm only using mobile devices so I've got no access to the file.

Besides, I think it's laughable that Konami haven't taken it upon themselves to release the data pack on their own website for download. They're relying on a fan of the game who's not an employee to make it available to download via some file sharing site. That's pretty crappy service, even if they are pointing people in this guy's direction.

I've noticed Konami are kinda blaming Microsoft for this but the fact is I've never experienced this with any other game on 360.

Do you have physical game or psn download? What r your settings 720p or 1080i or P?
 
For those who are playing ML (offline), have you seen any player growth at all?
I am 3/4 through my first season (using PDII league fake club) but couldn't see any player growth even though I played them 90% of the schedule throughout the year.
 
Don't know about you guys. The game is really hard for me. I normally play a lot of exhibition matches but set the motivation and form to NORMAL for both teams. This time, I set it to random and made team selections based on form/motivation. Heart really kicks in. It's been extremely challenging to beat Norwich at their home especially after they take a lead. This is WE 2014, now with patch applied.

FIFA might have shite gameplay but some of these good practices from EA stand as great examples for Konami to follow, from sales; after sales and support point of view.
 
this game is a illusion and confusion !!
Sometimes i feel 'how realistic the game is !'
and sometimes, 'wtf the game is !'
 
Me as Chelsea beat Man City 3-2. I was leading 2-1 and City equalised in the stoppage time. And I still had few seconds to score a winner and I did. I had 43% possession and only 3 shots on goal while City had 12 shots. Jesus Navas got a 8.0 rating. The highest I've seen in a losing team in PES/WE. Great match.

It is known that they toned down the growth this year, so no one will end up with all players with 99+ after a few seasons. But I wouldn´t be surprised that actually the system is unfinished, like other things in this pre patched version.
