PS3 or 360?

My 2nd D2 ML game had lag btw. Nothing like the 1st game at all. Feels exactly like a lag-free online game vs a laggy one. I think this is a stadium issue.

How do you use R3?

Anyway I'm out the Copa. They rolled up with 5 in defensive and shut me out the bastards. Onto ML.

Jury is still out regarding Advanced Through Ball. On one hand you can play some passes you never could before, on the other as has been said by Klash, simple balls down an alley can be disastrous. May give basic manual a go, see how that pans out.

Composure is everything. Individuality is off the map, use each player to their strengths, it reaps huge rewards.

Auto Offside stuffs CPU Through-Balls, and Double Tap with Dpad towards your goal sends defence deep.

Push Right Stick in as you receive high pass and even low pass, left stick direction for glorious first touches. Even decked passes work with it. I'm using it a lot, with Ronny it's amazing. Advanced Sombreros the lot.

Advanced Through-Ball on Zero is beautiful, especially a quick press for a dink lobbed pass.

I think I'll stick with PES 6/WE2007 until 1.03 is been and gone. I get people knocking one off over different aspects of the game, it has the potential to be a thing of beauty but for those of us who have played since ISS/early WE, some things in this game are still very clearly broken despite a time when they were near perfect.

Will look at the 3 Presets next on the fly with Dpad. Need Defensive and All out Attack on the fly really.

L2 x 2 to activate preset Combination Play when icon flashes on screen, amazing for Pre set player movements. Player switch, cross overs etc. class.

Need to turn on Combination Play in Tactical Awareness and design your Preset Moves.

So deep this fucker, but one step at a time.

CPU Ai is like watching real football at times. I'm gobsmacked by it's composure, without the need for cheap glitching.

L1 and Right Stick selection to send runners.

I honestly can't see any new 3rd kits or fixed sponsors on kits they said apart from Spain removing the FIFA logo.

I can't find change commentary language anywhere. All the sound options offer is to change volume for various parts of the game's sound.

Also, I MUST be imagining this, but the physical nature of the players seems toned down after the patch, or at least compared to the demo. Is that just me?
 
Put in 3 crosses and scored 3 headers that the keeper just stood there and watched. When ball hit the net he sprinted out to edge of 6 yard box. Weird.

Early assessment of this game.

Been playing Most of today with Rennes. Professional, 1 bar, basic shooting and Through ball, on 0 speed.

The goals I conceded I looked at where I went wrong, made an adjustment then I improved. The most important thing I learned was in regards to tactics, PES 2014 has now changed how 'Player support' works. The higher the player support the more likely your entire team will push up, regardless of how deep you set your defence. On PES 2011-13 this didn't cover the whole team, only those midfielder and attackers in how quickly they moved forward.

When i used my 'All out Defence' Formation, the CPU found it very hard to break me down, this was fantastic, I've learned properly how to defend on this game with it. Setting Player support Low means when you lose the ball your team won't be so far up the pitch open to through balls on the counter. This was the cause of my loss 3-0 away to Saint Etienne, my Long ball primary setup didn't work.

I've tinkered with the formation until i finally found something that is working wonders. A defensive 4-3-2-1 playing on the counter primarily soaking up pressure then using my quick widemen and my striker to score. Most teams play a high line because of the player support so defending deep and countering is the way to go In Ligue 1, and probably most other European Leagues with these tactics :LOL:

The AI, over the course of all my matches actually play the better football than me and create some great passing moves, i've rarely ended the game with more possesion than the AI, they are not easy to handle. But me, playing a simple counter attack game with Two DM's in my man Jean II Makoun and Stephen N'Zonzi. These guys are great, they have good physicality especially N'Zonzi, tackle well and do what I need them to do in the middle of the park in the middle of the park with Sabou in center midfield helping out defensively and supplying passes to my front players.

Just like on PES 2013 offline, I'm enjoying winning ugly, using a rather unfashionable French side, not many people care about, without any players with any real substantial talent. Do the basics right and play simple football with simple player to succeed.

I'm unsure whether to stay and try build a team which can play a little more nice passing football or leave to play football somewhere else at a bigger team, building a solid defence and players infront with the freedom to attack.

So people reading this struggling with through balls, you defending is not 100% depended on how you use the contain, pressure and slide tackle, no. how your team is setup is far more important.

Same here - I've done the digital download for PS3 and it's quite smooth on the pitch and even the cut scenes and replays that were a stuttering mess on the demo look much better.

Yup, I go into there, click language settings, and all it says is 'In-game Text' and only offers English or Swedish text language. Nothing else.

Did you download the data pack, maybe it's in that? I can't seem to download it yet.

Yep, Playing on 0 game speed, custom cam and I haven't had any stuttering at all in any condition in any stadium. Shooting, passing, corners, free kicks, cutscenes are all silky smooth.

Dribbling is lovely in this game:SMUG:

how to make low crosses ?
in previous pes double tap for low cross and triple tap for ground cross
now double tap for ground cross and with the power bar i can't produce a low powerful cross as that done by the double tap previously
