L1 was more of a lob when I tried it. I've not been able to dink it with a low trajectory like you could be, although I may be wrong. R2 doesn't open the body enough for my liking. Agree regarding keepers though.

I don't think I've gone as low as 40 for passing :P but the default MLO players felt awful which their stats imply.

I also don't think 2012's individuality was lessened, I just think it was a PES 5-6 scenario where the game was improved, but unbalanced. The speed and ease of exploiting the game increased so that could make it seem as if individuality was compromised/minimized or dampened some of its effects on the surface. If they had balanced the game better like 2011 it (indv.) would probably have been more obvious.

It did become more obvious in 2013 when the game was slowed down again and the movement physics went up a level in realism. I can feel individuality in 2014 as well, but the degree to which we all feel it seems to be different?

Yeah definitely agree with your assessment with 2012, I'm pretty sure I posted the same at the time. The animations were sped up to a ludicrious degree, making the touches less pronounced.

Same again with your opinion of PES 13. I'm still feeling out PES 14, haven't written it off yet but I'm skeptical at the moment. Players do feel different, no doubt, but the tippy-tappy touches that everyone uses disguises the degrees of technique. Like I said in that Training test, there was a clear difference between 40 and 99. My problem was with ball control, where there was no discernible difference. Again, in PES 11 there was a clear distinction between ball control and dribbling, enabling loads of unique playing styles you simply dont get in this game.

:II Not having it. It's the third year of manual passing now, and I still don't see it. Whatsoever. My playabout in training confirmed my suspicions.

We need some sort of 100% objective measure thats irresputable.

Just tap shoot with L1.

Same with a dinked through-ball on Advanced. A slight tap. Beautiful these on Zero, Right Stick Barge, Tackle Hold Off etc is brilliant as well.

A lot of fantastic new plus points for me and just a couple of niggles so far. Human v Human anyway.

if PES 11 didn't have such horrible teammate AI, itd still be the best footy game by a country mile IMO

I have the same thing with my Xbox. You can't do anything else then waiting until Konami has fixed it. They know about it and said they worked hard at the problem. They can't afford to keep people too long off online modes so I expect a quick solution.
About the HTTP and P2P solution: That's only possible at the PS3

What do you mean by L1 body swerve though? Thought L1 didn't do anything for dribbling?

Also, I'm not getting the body weight shifting using the right stick. All it does is perform a trick. Any ideas? I'm stuck!

Master league is also dull as fuck. It's like you're playing games against random opponents whether it's champions league or a season game. Pes 2014 really is an unfinished game.

Listen guys, heres a hint...you see iits not real footy. Its a game. We may never see a real simulation of the sport ever come to fruition.

You are all looking too deeply into this game, just play it and try and enjoy it! Personally i think it blows the last few years of pes clean out of the water, but what i dont do is say shit, man city didnt play like x or y, or silva didnt do x and y. Its not real, they arnt humans, they are programmed.

Is it possible to score a header? they always take the ball and shoot using a leg, never a header! Can someone prove im wrong, how to score a header ? Please

Guys! Can anyone check if PES 2014 full game is available for digital download on UK PSN? I'm away from my house and not in a position to check. It's 3am in the UK on 20th Sep (Friday) so the game should be on PSN now, right?

are you playing on manual shooting? i haven't managed to score 1 header on the demo with manual setting, but scored loads on the basic setting

Hey maaaaan. Lol there is no shame in reading the manual.

The right stick is your body weight. So if you control the player direction with the left stick the right stick is used to drop shoulder or do tricks but more advanced than just pushing up or down. For example, the elastico is diagonal up on the left stick and quickly diagonal down on the right stick.
Its player related though so not everyone will be able to do it. Checkout the command list in the pause menu.

I played 4 matches. It's too early to judge the game.
Until now i quite i liked it, but it has some shocking flaws.

First of all there is that stutter when you shoot on goal and miss the goal (and yes i installed my game): how is that possible. Unforgivable IMO.
The lack of fouls is very annoying. I've tried to provoke fouls, but whatever i did, no fouls...does the CPU ever make a foul (and if it does - which i haven't seen until now - does the ref give it). Oh, i would be lying: one foul in 5 matches...that is not very realistic.

In defense there is also a serious problem with cursor switching, but maybe i should fumble with the settings. It's still early days.

Those are the obvious negatives.

Other than that i had some very good moments. First of all the thrill when scoring a goal is there again. I never had that in 2013 and 2013. This makes a big difference to me.

Had a couple of glorious moments with Jovetic (and i played with Fiorentina, of course the transfers are not up-to-date) and even more with Arda Turan (he is my early favourite).

And then there was a moment of magic. Of course it might be a coïncidence but i saw something great while playing with Atletico madrid against Villareal: a typical Courtois handball save, maybe all GK's do it...but this was great: it is so typically for Courtois to do that. If this is a personal touch, then that is very good, Courtois is n't exactly a world star.

I'm looking forward to comparing the PS3 version with the PC version (which I have now), as when I played the PC version last night, the ref gave away a lot of fouls. And I mean a lot, nitpicking every little thing to the point where it got a bit annoying.

The only foul I have had against me was in my first ever match. Playing as AC Milan against Celtic and Izaguirre brought my player down, conceded a penalty and got booked for it. That is the first and last time the cpu has fouled me...

Yeah had the same myself. I tend to manually cross the balls into the box. It adds a level of unpredictability where players are forced to use their head; as opposed to the predetermined crosses where players feel the the need to bring the ball down first.
