Just found something interesting.
Just a question, will PC version have parity with ps3/xbox360 or ps4/xbox1 ?

The two blokes bottom right look like a pair of old guys.

I didn't catch anything about the commentary in the press release, will our old favorites return? ...

So the fact we're not on PS4/Xbone with PES 2014 is simple. We can't and shouldn't be just using higher quality textures etc should be new

It's hardly amazing making the nextgen version prettier. We shouldn't have that mentality, and you shouldn't expect that. Aim higher.

I'm a gamer like u, can't wait for nextgen, so I feel your pain. But once u see #PES2014 in action, that pain will disappear. It's stunning.

OK ... Konami are work on this game 3 years, they are working 3 years on current gen game ?They don't ready again for next generation?? What,we must wait another 3, 4 years??Or again for Konami , next gen means just high res textures ?? This is ridicules.

Maybe not financially sound to put resources into a game for consoles that don't exist yet and won't a a significant market presence for several months...
 
Install bases will be 10m max by this time next year so it makes sense. Look at GTA 5 They arent releasing a next gen version yet that game will sell gang busters and with the lack of backwards compatibility everyone will keep their current systems anyway. So I dont see the problem with PES doing what rockstar are doing.
 
They said last year that there would be a Vita version of 2014, the buggers. They also said there will be snow - I'd like to see that, amazing there has been no snow on current gen. Games in general need more dynamic weather, not just as visual treat.
 
The graphics are fine, its PS3/360 game. I'll make judgements like Adam said when I see the gameplay.

Majority of people will not buy the new consoles until at least a year later. It's a good decision to focus on the current market, which is the one who will generate more profit NOW.

Regarding the game: Wait for the demo, as always. It's pointless to analyze anything right now.

PD: Come on this place is depressing. I'm sure at it's current state, any PS2 PES would have been criticized too.
 
I can understand what Adam is saying, that they don't want to focus on a high-res version that won't be bought by all that many. But Konami have put so much emphasis on the Fox engine being scalable for different platforms, that I just felt it wouldn't be that big a deal. At least they could have made an effort for the Vita, ok not the biggest market in the world, but is supposed to be very easy to Port to.

Yes, i know my friend, but i'm hopping for Konami, next gen to be not just High res textures, is much more of that.
It's not big problem for me , i can wait one more year for next gen, if this one, new game will be good.

Lets hope it moves better then it looks, because it doesnt look great, and I wonder what modes and especially online modes will this game bring
 
amazing screens so far with stunning atmosphere.

i'm sure final product and pc version will look even better.
 
Kinda pissed there won't be a next gen version. I also reckon screenshots will be of the PC version. Also, Adam seems to be arguing on twitter saying Konami don't have the money to build two engines, one for next gen until the demand is there. But isn't the point of this new engine that it's scaleable and capable of going cross format? Why not just do a PS4 version to the same standard as the PC one? His argument isn't making sense.

Incidentally, there's some twat going around EA Forums saying that Fox engine isn't on PC. That's BS right? A link to comprehensive proof would be great so I can shut him up. ;)

It doesn't look great? How good do you want it to look? We're not quite at full photorealism yet you know, not even with the 'NG' consoles...

EA deals a license for 1st year of xbox one and PS4 that's why no football game, apart from FIFA 14 in next consoles..

First year? So there might be hope for PC Fifa next year then. For now though, PES 14 is looking amazing - if the gameplay is as far ahead of Fifa 'CG' gameplay as the graphics are, I'm sold.
 
Screens seems ok for me for current gen, is like GTA V level. We can't expect more.
The most important thing that all we are waiting for is the engine, the EEE in movement.
Just by knowing that is a new engine i can`t wait!

I'm quite surprised at the extreme opposite views here. Some saying screens are obviously different to 2013 while others saying no difference at all. Those saying no difference, you cannot be serious. Can't see the difference in lighting? Are you playing a modded HD PC version by any chance?
 
Is it just me or the graphics look a bit artificial ? I just don't like the lighting.

But anyway, if you still expects to be impressed with the current gen graphics at this stage, you need to think twice. Technically the visuals do look improved, it's very notable, but at least for me it just dosen't have that photorealism that Konami and Edge Magazine talked about. I think the lighting from the stadium at night can be better, but it's their first try with the new engine and this is running on current consoles. From now on, the visuals tend to get better and better even on current gen system with some tweaks here and there that really can make a difference (graphics can look more realistic than that), and I still think that this engine has much potential on nextgen system.

The atmosphere cpatured in the Santos pic is awesome, the smoking effects look very good.
 
Gutted at no next gen. They've been saying for years they're working on a new fox engine and then it turns out its for current gen. So what happens next year? A port of this game that they apparently couldn't do now?

Is my money not good enough for them anymore?
 
The screens are great. Lighting looks massive but it was a mistake to keep some of the faces the exact same as last year. That's what most people are noticing.

The advantage of Fox Engine is that is an engine that it's capable to adapt in any device by removing or putting properties depending on the console.

Obviously for current gent there's a lot of things that we will no see yet.

And please guys just wait for the gameplay footage and demo. And then you can moan all that you want.
