I like the detail in the press release, already thinking of formations and tactics.

The Bayern screen shot is nice, I wonder if the crowd thing (what's the word?) is animated.

faces still okay

I was waiting for modes news, but those will come later i guess
Screenshots are too small to judge but lighting looks really good

Character models look far far better. While the press release is greatly detailed.

This is much bigger than GTA for me Konami seem to completely get it.
Thank you fox

guys seriously this look like pes2013 to you ? what is wrong with some people in here.\

go and read the press release and you will be amazed by the detail on it.

Its all good and all, it actually a major improvement from PES 2013: the screenshots.

However, it seems like they never really did any work on the skin color palette. Compare it with the faces which they actually did major work on, and see the models as a whole; frankly it just does not fit and looks weird.

I'm a bit underwhelmed, but will wait for the E3 footage.

Would've been good if they actually showed some images of the faces, because the screens they have provided don't really show much of a change at all. The lighting seems odd too. The faces look pretty much the same as 2013 on first glance.

The mosaic being used in a friendly match between Bayern & Santos is not realistic at all, which a friend pointed out.

Why are the screenshots so bloody small on the press release? you need to show that shit off properly, at least 1280x720 in size would've been great...

Come on guys look at the small details e.g.
2nd
This shows the far better character models, Martinez looks big and imposing, lahm short and stubby etc.

Then there is the absolutely electric looking fans with the Bayen flag board. It looks absolutely amazing.

3rd pic
Lahm celebrating with the cup you can clearly see his crinkle lines around his mouth.

You can see Robben shirt has rolled up a bit because he has lifted his arm and you can clearly see his bicep.

Then theres the detail of the shirts where you can see the stitching and everyone shirt is creased in different ways. Which shows how they have made the clothes separate.

The faces are as detailed as ever and you can see the hair has been greatly improved. No more plastic looking.

4th pic
The Santos one you can clearly see the 3D grass where the player's boots are sat in.

The flares and lightening are awesome in that picture. You can see there are stewards around the ground in the stands and can see that all the people are completely 3D rendered there are no 2D sprites there.

This looks like a completely new game if you look properly

Sorry, but it does look similar to pes13, but will wait for proper footage & info at E3. I'm underwhelmed by the graphics at the moment, was expecting more.

Was discussing this with someone else and what's the betting that Konami:-

1) dont add additional leagues & teams
2) keep the limit of 32 players in a team
3) dont improve the goalnets
4) keep the same camera angles & entrance scene

Come on man. Look at it closely the game looks completely different from Pes 2013. From player models, player hair, to crowd, Lightening, Kits, Player stances etc...

You have to be blind or just ignorant if you cant see that.

A visit to Specsavers might be in order for some of you guys if you reckon those screens look like PES 13! I had to look twice at one or two to ensure they were actually screens and not photos!

Press Release has some decent stuff, other than that nothing to see really. Eagerly awaiting the E3 Trailer.

Not really sure what to think of the screenshots. Seems like the screenshots are poor/washed-out/low-res, but what they portray is potentially a step-up from previous games. Would love to see some gameplay.

Heart:

Defining what makes football so engrossing is difficult. It isn’t a technical thing, but more an emotional hook. Matches can be imposing for visiting teams, as home support barracks the opposition, and acts as the infamous “twelfth man” by cheering their side on. PES 2014′s ”Heart” aims to recreate the effects of team support, both on an individual player basis and across the entire team. Each player in the game now employs mental attributes in addition to playing styles and skills, and can be adversely affected when having a poor game. However, if an individual is not playing well, his team mates can rally round and will work to support him. Similarly, one moment of individual brilliance can produce a galvanising effect on team mates. The cauldron effect of a vibrant stadium will showcase the mood of the fans, with all-new sound effects combining with stunning AI systems to create a palpable match day atmosphere.

I hope that means we'll have both sets of fans chanting now, instead of only being able to hear the home fans. Inexplicably, the away fans chants' haven't been heard in PES games that I've played after PES 2008. Especially here in the UK, away fans are particularly boisterous, often more so than the home fans in some cases - hence the chants of 'you're supposed to be at home' and other less... polite chants. ;)

Hope the chants this year are worth hearing, first and foremost.

i believe they will deliver something special, unique idea like the super boots for 13

"All the materials we're releasing are taken from current platforms and fully in-game, which is at about 70% completion. We want fans to get a true feeling of the actual product they'll be playing on the console most own this year, not some marketing dream. Our new engine and systems are dedicated to the current generation of platforms, which will continue to be dominant in the market, but are fully scalable for future versions."

I'm not that fussed - if they're rubbish as usual, I'll just grab a chantspack as I did in the old days; chant packs can't do a thing if away fans aren't implemented properly to start with.
