I would really love to see some of that money, considering I've been jobless for a while and getting jack. It's not what you think it is.

The guy's been very active on twitter. He's not much on wenb anymore. He's doing his best responding to everyone within his limits.

Great news for football fans I guess. Pro Evo going back to being innovative, not copying FIFA, trying to be it...

Now I am anticipating PES 2014 more than ever. Especially now, as EA is without CEO (it is said, Peter Moore will take over EA = FAIL imo :P).

And FIFA 14 may require online connection all the time to even play Single Player mode (hail SimCity 2013). :/
 
i look at it all as a positive thing. adam joining konami and the new engine.
no more stupid scripting especially in online matches.
no more inept player switching
no more stupid defensive AI of your team mates- running away or not responding to loose balls.
no more stupid gks 1v1s where they stand at such an angle its impossible to miss, or there throw outs that float like a balloon so your opponents player can run ten yards and intercept.
no more invisible walls popping up to stop your defender coming across to get the ball.
full control of your player, so that you move the left stick and he runs in the direction your pushing, instead of carrying on like hes on a rail.

surely they are going to fix these basic issues before moving on to new stuff aren't they? as we have had them in all next gen versions. these are the friggin basics to a game for christ sake.

Dude, 95 % of that is just wish list ;) We still don't know anything about the game . Scipting and bad players switching are don't come from engine limitation . S0... will see soon what will bring to us this yeah .

Going on the history of gaming the next gen pes for ps4 will only be a basic shell of a game with not much in the way of gameplay modes etc, it always takes about 3 years for game development teams to bring across all modes etc from one gen to next. I wouldnt hold my breath guys for a successful next gen pes for a few years to come

Although I believe game assets are more scalable these days. Things like stadia, for example, shouldn't need to be completely rebuilt for a new engine.

So PES 2014/15 may well be a bit 'light' but I don't think it will be as bad as PES6 for instance, which was pretty bare bones (no edit mode and only 8 stadia).
 
Pes 2014 light or not, i really want it to be graphically attracting. Both in still and in movement. I'm bored to death to look at the same low resolution picth texture for every stadium, the same flat lighting system, the white sky, the robotic animations, the awful replay system. My eyes need something fresh and beatiful to watch. right now playing Fifa 13 then playing Pes 2013 is like going one generation back.

I'm talking about 360 version.

Besides, Pes 2013 is already a shell in modes. Master offline is the same since pes 2010, bal never played, online is laggy and has a bad infrastucture, too few option, the widget is useless. The only good thing about Pes 2013 is gameplay, to be honest.

So, don't worry it will not be worse than pes 2013 in modes, unless they manage to remove master offline, too. :FAIL:

As much as I respect opinions, I'd appreciate people having issues with Adam leave it out of this forum. You can comment on his practices as Konami's PES Community Manager in proper manner all you want now, but keep personal insults out of this forum. He does have a twitter account, so if you are persistent then please feel free to address him there.

I think it's the other way around, Konami now has a man on the inside.

Adam has been hired to act as a community manager, his job is one of the PR-side, ie. an extension of what Jon Murphy does on the usual media and events, Adam will do regarding the internet.

Like Jon Murphy's Adam's influence on Konami's development will be minimal if at all.

Solution:

Just redo PES5/WE9 and transform new graphics there and ability to adjust the ai and things like the replay frequency with sliders.

Result: Almost perfect football game.

Personally, I don't care how good it looks if the ai is pure crap like 2008-2013.

Not a real solution since the way things are done in terms of game development has changed dramatically. The game would completely suck and feel completely outdated (just like PES5/6 does atm). A nice sample of this is PES 6 for the Xbox360.
 
Let's discuss about this: online passing assistance. Should Konami set a default passing assistance online, e.g. 2 bars for everyone or they should create separate rankings for manual (0-2 bars) and semi assisted (3-5 bars)?

In my opinion the best option would be to put a standard online setting in ranked matches and master online. The setting should be 2 bars.

You could also play 0 bars, but only in specific competitions and in friendly msatches. What do you think?
 
Hi everyone,

Ameppe, the solution is to make a game without any passing assistance option; just make a good passing system and we all will get used to it. And, please, let us use manual control with the keepers online!
 
I LOVE PES Manual shooting and passing. I can't go back to the CPU heavy assistance which quite frankly spits in the face of realism.
Playing manual vs unassisted is a farce.
I say separate lobbies and comps for manual players.
We(manual PES players) had this discussion with Adam on Twitter and let's just say it got a bit tasty.
 
There should be just the one control system for all in my opinion. How manual/assisted that would be is up for debate but I'd love to see a return to everyone playing the same experience.

More control options and sliders add choice and customisation, which is good, but this manifests itself as a problem when playing online. If Konami could perfect one control system and had the conviction to do it, I think it would be a good thing.
 
One system for passing is the way to go, I think. Even though I don't really like PES 2013 the manual passing system with the L2 button is great. Like to see Konami keep that, or something close to it, without having to press or put tape over the L2 button.
