Why is everyone so obsessed about nets? What huge difference does it make in terms of fun or gameplay?

Whilst it's funny to joke about, it's also the principle of it. I mean, if your nets and goalposts don't look right and they're the easiest thing to get right, then how is the rest of the game going to be good.

You could also say that the referee could wear a t-shirt and jeans instead of a proper uniform since it doesn't affect the fun or gameplay. Or maybe the grass could be blue...:P

Aaaah I get what you mean't. It's a basic principle to get nets right as well as the easiest thing to do.

* National super cups(spanish super cup, FA community shield, Supercoppa TIM, DFL-Supercup, Trophée des champions, SuperTaça Cândido de Oliveira, Johan Cruijff-schaal, etc)
* FIFA Confederation cup (1 year before fifa world cup)
* FIFA CLUB World Cup
* more leagues from europa: bundesliga, russia, greece, turkey, more.
* leagues from conmebol (argentina, chile, uruguay, more)
* copa sudamericana and recopa sudamericana
* 3 kit for all teams (home, away, alternative)
* 2 division for all leagues (Not licensed)
* TEAMS from ASIA, AFRICA and ASIA, for a full FIFA Club World Cup
* more skills(hocus pocus, fake rabona, and more)
* more teams from Uefa Champions League and Uefa Europa League
* league cups(Capital One Cup[england], Coupe de la ligue[france], Taca da liga[portugal])

I think its darmira's wishlist.

Adding more leagues and teams doesn't make a good game. And finaly we need a good football game from konami. But adding a good gameplay - AI we'll get an addictive pes and with only 1-2 leagues i can play for months. Like the old days...

yeah would much rather see things like that blasted throughball disappear. Was a great button till it became spam and you could ding it from anywhere

Also on the skill cards the Pinpoint point pass is a bit of a joke. It gives certain players the ability to play lobs or chipped throughpass with back spin i.e. it will make sure your pacy striker gets the ball ahead of the defender.

You will never see this on vanilla PES. The closest thing to what you want would be a RFactor-style football game, with unlimited slots for players, teams and competitions.

yes my wishlist to Konami, we don't need licenses, we need tournaments.

YouTube - Super Cup and Club World Cup in PES 14

I like that animation with the backspin. What's wrong with your pacy striker getting ahead of a defender? Happens all the time in football. The lobbed through ball is nowhere near as effective as the ground ball so I don't think that backspin animation is an exploit...but then again I haven't played online for a while.

I agree with the through ball button not being needed. They could re-map that button to be a manual pass button so you can put the ball wherever you like on the odd occassion and not have to press a manual modifier. That way you can use it as a throughball on the ground.

If they give us more freedom over the power meter we could use normal chips (the cross button) to replicate lobbed through balls as well.

Agree! Konami could use an 'unofficial' OF to get around the licensing crap, and probably save themselves a boatload of cash in the process.

I only play online and I want to see it expanded and modernized. In particular:

The ability to play re-matches!. This was taken out after PES6 - why? Or a least a proper messaging system so we can set-up friendlies. Sometimes you click with a random opponent and you want to re-play. C'mon, you know it makes sense.

Goalscorer should have control over replays, but the replays should be quicker. Gloating is part of the fun!

Also we should have a basic highlights editor so we can save our best replays onto Youtube. I want to show-off! Surely good (free) advertising for PES itself?

I have to say that now I've become more proficient I am HUGELY enjoying PES2013 gameplay. Gameplay tweaks - yes, but let's evolve from here, not devolve again.

Meaning online mate. Don't agree with the real life thing though. Yes pacy strikers outpace the CBs but the pass weight and accuracy is too perfect on PES especially on assisted settings which is 90% online opponenets.

Seriously you will stop playing PES because of it

Unless they've changed strategy, we will have a silly amazing trailer in two weeks.

I always think back to that original PES2011 trailer with the fantastically animated Messi.

Talk about false advertising.

While the reveal trailer is always false advertising the first gameplay trailer usually released around E3 is very representative of what we will get animation wise.

That is what i'm looking forward to have a clear idea of how pes 2014 will move.

In fact, between the Messi black background trailer and ingame animations there was a huge difference. I would be happy if they managed to bring that level of animation fluidity and quality in pes 2014 ingame.

I don't think the trailer(s) or any other marketing material, as well as the game itself, will be anything to shout about. I just don't think Konami has a clue anymore. Hope I'm proven wrong though.

The trailers will show how the game moves, that's what i'm talking about. Of course only the final game, not demo, can give the wrong or right feel.

Can i ask you why do you think Konami has not a clue anymore?
I think they really did an error using the Ps2 engine adapted to ps3 and 360, but the gameplay is still enjoyable.
And with a completely new engine it could be extremely good, much much better than what we have now.

I think the PS2 PES games were terrific fun and incredibly addictive. I found the gameplay of PES 2008-2013 to be exactly the opposite. I am hoping Konami can get back to their old ways with PES 2014. However, I worry that a new engine doesn't necessarily mean the people making the game understand what makes football so attractive for many of us and that the chaps who made the great PS2 PES games have moved on to other projects.

Removal of league mode and the magic boots fiasco are two prime examples of Konami not having a clue what they are doing.
Plus the removal of 2v2 with a guest... Baffling, that's one of the main things I've played on football games for years and it's absent from PES 2013 (but present in PES 2011...).

Antracsa online is the most important thing in Pes more than gameplay :LMAO:
In my case which AntrAcsA quoted, the lacking of an "online feature" very much steps into gameplay territory when it results in the absence of a way of playing the game many people enjoy.

I also prioritize gameplay above other aspects of a video game, but that doesn't mean Konami get a free pass to screw up other parts of the package.

AntrAcsA nor I implied what you're saying, it just seems like you're trying to defend PES for some reason with an irrelevant and pointless post...

The second part of your signature is nonsense .

How I imagine most people react to your posts:
