i just read that adam wrote to someone that there will be no snow after all in pes 2014.

this is the first news related to pes 2014 that i didn't like so far...

If it's crap like in Fifa, who cares?

So they lied? Why did they hype it up at the beggining of making this game man.

So did they say it would be in before?

im yet to see any football game implement weather conditions properly so whats the point if its just a visual effect.

FIFAs rain looks awful to me and doesn't represent rainy game play nor does snow although it looks pretty

(although i do remember kick off 2 doing windy which was fun)

Agreed - the Commodore 64 could do better rain effects.

Off-topic: Sorry, but after seeing the AWESOME GTA V gameplay, PES 2014 can wait a little bit more :P

Not if you're on PC - if the game's coming to PC at all it'll be six months down the line. Not to worry: PES 14, Rome 2 and the Elite Dangerous beta will all be out by then. :)

The ridiculous fixture pile ups!

Do you think we count as trolls yet? ;)

Actually, that's probably why we had to play with tennis balls eventually - much less likely to get enough elevation on those to break windows I guess. What I don't get is why isn't England full of world class footballers if we all had to practice on tennis balls? Practice with a smaller ball and the real thing should be a piece of cake. ;)

Guys why are you moaning about no snow?

Don't even care about snow. Who likes to play in that weather anyways? I remember that on PS2 PES ML, 4 of 10 matches was on snow time. It was tedious!

Do you remember when there was the no rain bug in Master league. It was one of the ps2 pes, i don't remember which one...

EDIT: Just checked, it was Pes 5.

Agreed; this announcement hasn't brought my world to an end. ;)

Can't be that hard to do, surely. Little bit of white pixelling instead of green around the pitch and scattered here and there in an organic fashion on the field:CONFUSE: Add in an orange ball and Bob's your uncle:))

You know, here in east Europe, football is stil playing on snow. Who cares? For a start,i care! Ps who care about boots and faces?

Football is played in England in the snow also, and if the game had snow it would be beneficial but the point is it ain't going to break the game if it isn't there. Getting your bollocks twisted cause of something so basic is pointless.
Boots and faces don't matter, if the game can be played.

So did they say it would be in before?

Yes they did, I cant find the article at the moment but they said they will use new engine, bring back league, changing camera and things like those including snow. I honestly dont mind if they dont or do as it wont stop me getting this pes game. It would have been icing on the cake though if they did have it.

On the 4th and 5th of July, KONAMI welcomed members of the PES community and journalists for a presentation of PES 2014. Manorito Hosoda, Marketing Producer of PES, was present and answered some our fans’ questions.
We have compiled them to give you all the latest updates on PES 2014:

  • The weather will affect the game and make the kits dirty
  • Goalkeepers animations have changed considerably
  • Players will be able to change teams and coach a national team in Master League mode
  • League mode for multiplayer online will be available on PES 2014
  • There will be more emblem slots on Edit Mode
  • Third kits will be available in the game or as DLC (no plan for paid DLC)
  • There won’t be offline community mode but additional features on myPES will cover that
  • PES 2014 will be available on Steam and other online services on the release date
  • PES 2014 will have new stat system, using a combined stat page to equate values. Goalkeepers will have their own stats as well
  • New system to prevent cheaters

i would definitely love to see snow in pes 2014 by any means, and yes, even if it's implemented the same way as in pes 5/6.

and yes, there were some infos way before e3 that snow WILL be featured in pes 2014, thanks to fox engine. and now we get this:

"Adam Bhatti do you know snow and rain put in the game this year ? yes or no ?

-Snow is not, rain is. The snow conversation is an interesting one, only something you'll get when you see how the weather dynamics play a part in the game. Rain in PES 2014 is in general spectacular. For me snow is a simply effect to add, but the team don't want to add it without implementing it perfectly. i.e. realistic ball bobbles and outcomes etc. I asked them to, and they we're very much against it. Something tells me they have a set attitude from now to take no short cuts.

Still working on it..."

i'm a little bit dissapointed.

and this is not the only "bad" news for today. look this:

it seems they will keep that dreadful commentary from previous games. :TD:

Why no talk of hail? or super hot weather now that we have ACL included. Watch the player's melt near half time.

An online League mode would be the best mode for me

I hope this new system for online cheaters understands when its the server at fault (for the game not being completed) and not the player.

If so that's incredibly disappointing. Very tired of the same old repetitive and terse script along with the extremely dull and dour Champion and Beglin.

We're getting that epic commentator,:SMUG: who everyone loves, that speaks Arabic. If the English comm. isn't up to scratch, there's always that.. Alaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh!!

Jesus. LOOK AT EVERYTHING KONAMI IS PUTTING INTO PES 2014. It's such a huge overhaul. Commentary I can understand to an extent, though surely it's understandable given how much else they're doing. But why are some people so disappointed by lack of snow??

As it is, there'll be so much stuff Konami need to tweak and fine tune, particularly going into the next gen, that I'd be surprised if we see something as trivial as snow next year. Expecting it this year was wishful thinking; being let down by its absence is utterly devoid of perspective.
