:))Condescending PC owner circle jerk: check

I did my best to explain my point without resorting to wheeling out PC vs console, but he obviously wasn't getting the message so I had to make it clear. ;) If telling the truth is being a 'jerk', then Guilty As Charged, Milord.

And it's not condescending when it's the truth. It's a fact that most games lead on consoles, and are thus restricted by the static hardware - for the best part of a decade. That doesn't make sense in anyone's language given that all games start life on a PC anyway.

Not sure I've seen a link to this "first impressions" here, but it reveals some things I'd not yet read (from the disappointment that Jon Champion is still in, to an excellent feature of being able to push your team forward or back with the shoulder buttons).

Anyway, here it is: http://www.onlyproevolutions.com/201...sions.html?m=1

Looks great, doesn't it? :) And I love the bit about the player reacting to a yellow card - hopefully there'll be some players pushing and shoving each other as well. In fact the way I see it, you can't have true Emotion in a football game without some of that.

Remember when we used to play football outside? Damn those graphics sucked :CONFUSE:

The physicality was too realistic for me. Fortunately, I'm a much better virtual player than a real one. ;)

How many fake teams will there be for users to modify in Edit mode?
About 60. [We assume there will be 3 leagues of 20 teams]

The real question for me is whether those teams can be added to the ML to make new leagues.
Can you modify the number of teams in each league?
I don't think you can change it.

Damn. Why, Konami?

I don't think the author of that was indicating that Jon Champion was still in. I think he was just using one of Champion's expressions from previous games as a way of saying players are punished for careless passing in that build of PES 2014.

I love your optimism but surely they'd have made a big deal out of there being new commentary by now?

Pro Evolution Soccer has finished wandering in search of himself. The identity crisis is officially over with the 2014 Edition license plate. The engine has highlighted not only new production values but also has expanded the development team, to a product truly complete at 360°. Some smears are still noticeable and will probably correct from here out, however Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a beautiful Declaration of love towards the real football, and a beautiful female cat to peel for EA Sports. Ok, caps, it's time to a toothy smiles and Pats on the back here. And now, no?

Animations and contrasts much improved,Atmosphere always at the top,It has all the cards in order to return to the glory days of yore.

Doubts
You need an improvement of the inertia of the players,What's new in one on one and in artificial intelligence must be balanced correctly

FROM THE GREEK PREVIEW
Konami builds steps into the right direction!

The GameWorld traveled to London and specifically the Konami offices in Windsor, to present you the new Pro Evolution Soccer. We are currently in England for fourth time in our history as a site. The first was for those who remember the 2005 with the first revelation of exclusive Football Manager. Today we are again in football mood, with Pro Evolution Soccer 2014.

The title of Konami has been discussed this year more than ever, introduced for the first time the Fox Engine, a new graphics engine that was developed by the team of famous Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima, both for the needs of Metal Gear Solid 5 and the new Pro. This of course meant – what else – from top-of-a-kind graphics and animations, which we have seen in practice. All this of course resulted in Konami be forced to rebuild the Pro Evolution from the beginning. New game engine well, generate code from scratch (or almost from scratch because some code points such as the menus are retained unedited) and new expectations. Can the PES 2014 to impress us this year and to climb to our appreciation? The answer to the following preview.

The demo
The beta version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 contained two teams we played, Bayern and Santos. Konami presented the demo it at E3 but since then there have been some significant differences, as the code of the game has improved significantly, at least in the field of handling. Konami has denied taking photos and video of the game, so we should stick to what we know so far. Full material we will see and we will record in the European exhibition Gamescom, 21-25 August.

Handling and animations
These are two concepts that go package in recent years in football of Konami as largely determine our experience with the gameplay. How is the experience handling as well as motion animations of players compared to last year?

Having played the series from its first edition, I imagine you and I, we found ourselves several times to wonder with the faulty animations of Pro, constantly listening to promises from Konami. This time is the first time that I tell you with certainty that the players run, turning and kicking the ball more smoothly than ever. All this thanks to the technology "Trueball Tech" that implements real move 360 degrees, but (because there's a but) we have a slight reduction in speed to the relationship with the PES. No hurry, the reduction is in the order of 10%. We keep two data. That one Pro gives the sense that we play real match and this makes more slow gameplay are the controls, the twist of the body and the transfer speed of the ball. So here it is obvious that Konami took the decision to move in a pattern that feels more realistic, that is closer to reality. In contrast, in Fifa gameplay continues as always to be faster.

The basic options to handle, known from previous versions, persist and now. The dribbling in which we combine the right analog stick, and then immediately left analog stick were present in the demo version that I played, but not the most advanced dribbling, namely those of L2 + right analog. Konami will add at a later beta, still under development. We then momentarily for example move the right analog stick to the right and then immediately left analog stick in any direction. If e.g. You Right and Left stick right stick left the player will make the apron to the left. Replace the Left stick to the right and apron will be to the right, the left analog down and there will be a touch of the ball, and Konami has put the moves on goal dribbling on the controller to represent the real.

The passing and shooting manual work like last year, while teammate traffic improved vastly. Remember that last year you pressed the right analog stick, and then the direction but didn't know which player will take? This is changing, as it now does not press in the right analog, but will simply hold L1 and with the right analog will show the direction of the teammate who will want to do moving forward. The moment you will see a large white arrow that starts from the player who has the ball and reaches out to him who will make the move. With this method the eye you wont easily at that should give any.

Defense and ...sprwxidia!
In the defence sector I am pleased to inform you that there are no problems of PES 2013, where the defense was ...skorpochwri and your players are pushed into empty spaces. This time with R1 and x the player running and pushing more accurately, i.e. aiming to steal the ball, while you can bring up to three players to push. The artificial intelligence of your sympaichtwn is clearly beltiwmeni, branding at the same time and space in order to exploit a potential mistake any resulting from the suffocating pressing. Nevertheless the A.I. does not forgive mistakes, as in our Top Player we played made it pretty. On the other hand, there are some glitches, like that opponents players go out on their own with the ball off the pitch or rival goalkeepers have literally pegs or do not react at all when the ball is in front of them. Konami promised that whatever problems the A.I. will be corrected to the final version.

The improved defense system comes to be added and advanced collision detection, which with the exception of 2-3 cases which we hope will be corrected in the final version, works at a very good level. The tzartzarismata between the players is strong, to the point that you can see the intensity of sprwximatwn, while it takes just a few improvements in the way that players fall in the grass (depending on tackling).

Passes and shots
Go straight to the Chase. You will have noticed that the two latest versions of PES have an issue with slow passes. More specifically, not just passing slow as if the grass has Glue, but in particular your teammates sometimes raise their feet to get the ball to another teammate who is farther away, but as a result of this the steals the opponent. What stops this year, as the passes are faster, maybe not so to the extent that we wanted but at least the flow is smoother. However, there is no momentum from his team-mates which means that once again we will have to watch that pasarete and playing with the ball down, at least until you get close to the opposing area.

In shoot developers make notoriously a arcade approach. Sometimes the shots seem somewhat automated and the ball seems to lead into the net with relative ease. The hanging of the goalie (chip shot with L1 and square) as well as the finesse shot (R2 and square) work flawlessly. The little tricks that are made with the ball in the air is much more, as for example goals with plane or gyristo bol shoot after kick-off, enough to catch the correct strength on your controller. As a result, you see the most spectacular football. This trend reinforces the Player ID you will regard this year most footballers. Already we have seen the special moves of some players such as Santos, Neymar.

Regular
The display of members in the new Pro has changed in some places. The construction of the menu remains exactly the same as last year, with changes to the colors and the pointer, which in the beta version we tested goes fairly quickly, something that developers have promised to fix. Before you enter the regular, the available options are "Leave to manager, Simple settings and Choose manually, so depending on your level select the appropriate option. There are still the familiar tactics, i.e. Preset preset tactics that define the movement of players, like the Long Ball, Quick Possesion, Counters, All Out-Defence, All Out Attack, Out Wide Offence, Out-Wide Defence, Down Middle Offense and Down Middle Defence.

Strategy Integrator
A new feature that we see for the first time in football and that will broaden your options fully strategies, is the Strategy Integrator. It is the players ' movements that options include three players. It is known that the coaches work fairly in regular workout three players (some of them are called and passes if combined with a triangular shape) as they are given the opportunity with three footballers to manage to perform better their tactics, with passes, vertical moves, fakes, etc.

The Strategy Integrator works as follows. From the middle of the pitch and up have the pitch divided into eight squares. Both left and right of the opposing fireplace (on the sides of the large area of the opponent) and another six in the rest of the half. ince these eight blocks you can apply specific tactics in three of them. So there are three combinations of players like kick-off, diagonal movement, move the player on the opposite side and kick-off, and the movements are ready and you simply select the desired, and thus in what blocks will act.

In practice the system works as follows. You can choose between automatic or manual application of regular. In the first case once you get into one of these three areas with the ball will automatically show the others your two teammates to make the move. In the second case as soon as you enter the area marked out so you press the L2 twice and to enable regular you have chosen. The system works properly in most cases and is a good opportunity to see our teammates to move in space, and this because at this stage not once I was personally pleased by the movement of the ball whenever I had teammates. Like them much more energetic.

Rigged
In PES 2014 we have a major change in how we run the rigged (free-kicks and corners), to facilitate the novice players. There are more dots that define the trajectory that will follow the ball. With the right analog stick moving your camera left-right. With the left analog stick to change the trajectory of the ball. It may sound deceptively easy but there is great sensitivity towards moving the pointer that will be set up that will reach the ball deliberately is not visible while the ending of the ball into the net.

For example if you move the right analog stick to the right will change the curve to the left, a sample of that with the right analog stick is like to target with your foot to send the ball. The result will satisfy you mostly, as they do not require long trainings in rigged, but simply a proper orbit and proper power of the ball. The power goes on and plays a role, as it should not be too great because in this case you send the ball out. A slight imperfection that we observed and expected to improve is that sometimes players catch epitithemenopi "air" in their headers, even when the ball is in obvious short position. The defenders however blow out the ball.

Leagues, online and other information
Let's take a brief look at some recent new features which has announced Konami. First of all I was not able in practice to see the "Heart" as it is called, i.e. the psychological reactions of players to how goes the flow of the game, the reactions of the world etc. The developers have told us that this will indeed plays a role in Psychology (morale) Player, both on and off the pitch, if for example your team makes a great transcription in Master League. I would expect to see in practice.

About the leagues there is no newer so far. We know that Konami has a lot of work because of the new engine and re-create most of Pro. But we talked off the record with coefficients of Konami who told us that if the Japanese company allocate budgets and buy Championships, then developers will have time to build. We know that there have been contacts with all countries ' federations (even of Greece) and that Konami know that move prices. In some countries, we would like to inform you that EA Sports has exclusive rights due to Fifa/Fifa Manager so there Konami can not be implicated.

Finally, for the online mode I learned something new, beyond that there will be a redesign of the Master League Online. O Jon Murphy, PES Konami's Team Leader for Europe, will tell us more on the Gamescom, such as number of players, what improvements there will be (in modes and servers), etc. We hope to be given the necessary weight and there. We saw last year that speed has improved in 1vs1 so it is something you expect to see in 4vs4. The less lag so much the better. The Japanese company is expected to take action against cheaters something you see more detail in an interview which will rise soon in the GameWorld through the offices of Konami.

The Fox is crazy!
Visual Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is at his best, with the help of our excellent Fox Engine of Hideo Kojima! The details of the physics is something else and – most importantly of all-the animations show the players to react very realistically, without any jerky movements. The battle seems to graphics that this year will be a monologue for Konami and indeed possibly in all areas, maybe even those animations. Of course we will wait to see the response of EA Sports so. ..Let us not anticipate from now.

What I really enjoyed were the close-ups in phases where players complaining to the referee, tsampoykaleyontoysan between them and. ..especially in the celebration of goals! With bump mapping which will see your jaw will drop to the floor! Pictured even the sweat and wrinkles every footballer, as if accidentally opened the TV instead of the PES.

It is worth emphasising that the demo versions did not contain description match, while it is still early to see the reactions of the public to rigs, especially compared with the footballers. Of course we await with impatience the newest from the Gamescom and the demo will follow if (we like to think around September).

What follows then
Our current experience with Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 from Konami's offices in London was more than enjoyable. The improvements in handling are enormous and – as informed us developers and in the interview-their goal is to achieve a balancing 50-50 between Arcade and Simulation. Obviously you want to reach all lovers. Generally handled enjoys the favor of Fox Engine and new animations and the other passes and shots are reminiscent of the good old (arcade) seasons of the game that we loved.

This year's improvements of Konami is more than ever and the work of Kei Masuda (Lead Developer) and his now starts in sight. However, my only concern has to do with the A.I. opponents and especially the goalkeepers, who is still in a very early stage. I do not wish in any way to release a Pro with the well-known problems of the last two versions. Better to delay rather than become a potentially damage which would destroy the whole effort. We will wait to see what will make the Konami with the burning issues of the leagues and the online mode.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be released this autumn for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP. Konami finally informed us that there will be no version for PS4 and Xbox One but that will start to gradually work for the next version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 based on the next generation consoles.

Stay tuned to the GameWorld as soon we will upload two more videos. The first video is the interview with Jonathan Murphy (PES Team Leader) and the Manorito Hosoda (Producer Marketing) by Konami and the second the entire presentation and our experience of the Japanese company's offices in London.

commentary is in from preview code and preview code is released at the end of august

I can't really answer that; I wasn't impressed with the PES 13 demo so I never bought the game. No doubt the PC genius modders came up with some great stuff though.
:)
i have both on the PS3 and as for gameplay PES wins but its very far from what it used to be.
when it comes down to presentation, modes and things to keep you interested through out the year, FIFA really delivers.
i especially love the match of the day feature cause its nice to know what the important matches for the week are.
but because i don't like the gameplay that much i often end up playing the matches on PES.
atleast PES looks really impressive this year and i don't have to fake being excited this year, cause i have been faking my excitement for a few years now:)):SMUG:

The only problem is, have you ever tried paying a young guy to play with you.. I'm on a register for that.. turns out having a 'youth policy' irl is illegal..
:YES:i'm bribing my boys to play with me since most of them are interested in other sports
