Glad edit mode has gotten some attention. I assume this means there can be multiple slots for team kits and the different combinations that a team can wear.
 
By definition of the cheating 'scripting', you're saying that the game and subsequent result is actually already pre-determined. That is nonsense. In my opinion.

Of course it's nonsense, but a lot of people still believe it's part of the game. ;)

Exactly why the word scripting needs to be dropped, period. There is no scripting. There are player and team rating boosts that kick in, depending on the game/game situation.

Unfortunately it won't; the phrase has caught on along with other nonsensical crap like 'sweaty' goals. I fail to see how a cut back makes a goal 'sweaty'.

Like how the edit mode was pretty much like a "fuck you" to the licenses saying they have made it possible to competely recreate football kits of teams, if they make easier to share kits among players then the Licensing differences will be non-existent :P

Great; all they have to do now is provide us with a load of empty league slots to fill. ;) Mods can do wonders for licences, but they can do very little to actually add leagues to the ML pool.

True, I've been following vaguely had there been any ML news? Really interested since its the management modes that pull me into the different games..
 
Does anyone care that Kei mentioned continuous play so when a ball goes out for a throwin the player picks up and the play continues. No more stop and restart. I think this is phenomenal!

dude, I am a pc gamer, I'm saying that thing to reduce scripting is not really evident at all, wouldnt surprise me if it was just put in for placebo effect, seriously :)
It can also means that jenkey actually reduce the "stat boosting" under certain circumstances.
 
I freaking hate when the CPU goes into overdrive and starts to sit deep and pump quick throughballs. The slow strikers become faster and can rocket a shot from well outside the box with pinpoint accuracy and can do it with every team or player.
Your defenders also push up and the damn fullbacks make sure they create a 1-2m space for the CF to lurk in. Konami have no issue with this happening over and over and over again. You could lose a game with that goal score more than 3 times even on Professional difficulty.

It is a bit of a gamebreaker.


Is it really that hard to program an intelligent AI that can create randomised openings? Rather than the same thing over and over?

For me, there's no scripting at all; online or offline in Fifa. And from my years of experience in PES, I don't think it exists there either; it's just babies crying because they lost a game and need to find something to blame other than the fact they maybe messed up in that particular game!

I'm sorry for you, but even Seabass himself confirmed (I think it was in PES 2010 or 2011) that there was some "bending" in the game to produce drama in certain moments, even in human vs human. So, if you're 2-1 winning in the last five minutes, your opponent is more prone to score if he has a chance, or will do better tackles, and things like that. Depending on the mode, competition and level of teams and users, you can feel this "bending" more or less, but it's there obviously.

It's not a matter of scripts that decide exactly what happens, it's just the boosting of certain stats in certain moments that do it. If you're a great player and have some luck, you may be over it, but in my oppinion this is pure bullshit and both games have it for sure. The amount of posts and goals in the last minutes of each half is quite suspectful, for example.

So even Seabass confessed they did it in PES some years ago. Maybe you should apologize for calling people things without having all the information in your hands.
 
The Edit mode news is good for console gamers and all, Me being a PC gamer, none of it really applies to me as the modding community will rectify this anyway. What i am curios to know is if Stadium creator not only remains but has been improved majorly. Hopefully with real world Stadium parts to recreate the Emirates and Signul Iduna.

Adam said that many parts of editing are still uncovered and that they will go into details later
It seems like editing improvements are not limited to kits
