PES 2013 Discussion Thread

I didn't delete the data pack since I figured I wouldn't have to, I never downloaded it yesterday to begin with. I installed the new data pack and I see no difference in the lineups I've checked.

OK, convince me I'm not going mad - go to a random example... Wisla Krakow (a team I've neither edited nor used since buying the game). Now tell me if they've got Lukasz Burliga at centre back and Kew Jaliens at right back. These positions should be the other way round, as you can see from the fact that they're both rated 64, whereas when you swap them over they go up to 74 and 71 respectively.

That's only the first example I tried now, not one of the worst ones, but can someone else go there and tell me whether this is just on my game or on yours too? Need to work out what's going on here.

but the easier question rly is; did valencia play RB and carrick CB the last few games or at all?
if yes ok if not konami fucked it up
(carrick can play cb now he cudnt before the update, so it cant be some random bug, they did this on purpose?!)

i cant get this straight in my head, lol
 
I've a question guys, I own the DVD version of PES 2013, but since the game have been officialy patched, 1.01, I can't play online any longer. So my question is, is there a way to play the downloadable version of pes, because I don't have a dvd-rom...I've been playing so far with the cracked exe.

Carrick played CB one game earlier this season I *think*, when Man United had all their defenders injured... maybe I'm dreaming that, but he's certainly done it in the past, although he's not very good at it. And Valencia can play as a very attacking RB, but rarely does unless there's an injury crisis or he's on as a sub when they're losing.

Still a stupid decision to put them there as default though.

Anyway, if you've got a second, go to a couple of random Brazilian teams, click on Game Plan and press R1 to show the overall ratings. Are you getting some really ridiculously low stats there? I know a lot of those teams have players rated 54 and stuff, but I'm talking about 42s and 39s? If so, go and check to see if they're playing in completely the wrong positions, because that's what my Brazilian league looked like earlier on before I went through and edited it.

This is all pretty weird, because although I did do a fair bit of editing before the DLC, 1.) I definitely overwrote the edit data, and 2.) I definitely didn't edit the Brazilian teams.

if u have the dvd version where is the dvd?
right now off course theres no updated nodvd.exe, so u need the dvd to play the game either on- or offline

dont know about the didital version, not sure if its compatible with the retail game

and yes its not our fault, i mean i havent got any edit file to begin with, there cant be a mix up, i deleted mine before updating
no new file was created with update so i gone to edit mode and saved it, it has created it, then i used the load feature he asked me if i want to delete bla i clicked yes but still the same results off course
its konamis job here..

The DVD is in the game box, but I don't have a dvd player on my pc to use it, I've been playing with the cracked game.
Nvm, they cracked the patch!
 
Oh, and nice to see that Konami haven't bothered to rectify the fact that some teams don't have their fucking names on the backs of their shirts. I know there are some Dutch and South American sides who don't have them, but I'm talking about teams like Genoa, Osasuna, Zaragoza, couple of others... not a gamebreaker, but baffling and very stupid.

Might have been nice to put the proper number fonts on half these "licensed" teams as well, but I was never expecting that...
 
Just saw a weird thing - might have been in there pre-patch but I haven't seen it before. I was playing against Man City, the ball went off their defender and rolled towards the endline, Hart jumped on the ball about a meter from the line, stood up, and promptly walked the ball out of play! Corner!

all right so i checked brazil league and copa teams
lowest overall rating for the starters was a RB with 57 or 54, he can play as rb
so i guess nope, not over here :p

Oh yeah, I was playing a friendly as Parma and I noticed the same thing, no player names on the back of their shirts. How did they miss that?

So, with this transfer update thing, is it for definite that the transfers are there but Konami have messed around with the lineups and put tons of players out of position? A couple of people have mentioned something similar on the Konami FB page.

If this is the case then I've completely lost patience, I have no idea when the xbox transfer update is going to happen because Konami have gone silent on the issue despite PC and PS3 having the update since this afternoon. If this carries on by the time the morning comes around I'm gonna go ahead with what I said and just do some of the main transfers myself, I'll probably then just do a ML in Portugal with Benfica as I have a no idea about players in Portugal and so wouldn't notice any outdated rosters.

Seriously, what a joke. I think it'll take me a shorter amount of time just to transfer a load of players myself than sit waiting for the update only to then have to go through every team making sure Konami haven't put a CF in midfield, or a CB at RB etc. Can Konami deal with this game any worse?
 
Ok I've patched the game to 1.01 and applied the 2nd DLC but the teams still haven't been updated! Van Persie still at Arsenal etc.

Before I snap the disc in half can someone tell me what the hell I've done wrong? The game this year is severely trying my patience.

No they can't and i don't understand what's going on there with konami. It almost seems they are working on PES13 with a very small team and all the resources are going into the development of PES14. They sold an unfinished game without online mode, without league mode, they are very late with summer transfers and much more things like removing manual game saving. Overall it looks like they sold a very limited game and they do no more than what is absolutely necessary.

Probably they made a decision last year that they can't beat EA with this kind of game and kind of engine and now they are trying to close the gap with a really new PES14. Probably all manpower is already working on the new game and what we are getting with PES13 is the result of a very small development team.

If you look at the game and what is new to PES12 it is not that much. They optimize the gameplay, they start the Player ID and they make some very little changes to ML. But what else? Is that really the best result of a year of development? I don't eat it.
 
why won't it save the data? it asks me after i download it if i want to overwrite edit mode and i've said yes twice and i still need to download datapack, such a shambles this year with some of the thing's going on.

EDIT: got it now i think. konami have messed up pretty bad this year, in way's worst to date with the whole community mode then taking online options away then boost boots and now shambles of dlc, why did they release the game as early with such bugs? it's a strange move and one with i can see them dropping numbers sadly.

U can always double save so you can go back to before the match you lost. Its a workaround.
I don't mind loosing as I want the real experience. What bothers me is the time that autosave needs to do the job. I usually save after 5 or 7 matches. But now... I do smoke a lot of cigarettes; cause the game keeps me waiting... (smoking can do you harm! Don't ever start!)
 
Am i missing something or you can only play 2v2 by chosing 1 single player in the team? is it a joke or there is something i have to do to select the rest of players? Are we really locked up on 1 single player for the whole game?

that would be the most stupid gaming idea of the century.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Having thought about what you said, i agree and also think that they're running this game on minimum resources and staff. I presume the bulk of the PES team must surely be developing the next PES on the new engine, I think it would kind of be madness if they weren't. If this were the case I wouldn't actually mind that much, provided they produce a far better quality controlled game with more modes and options from the next game onwards. I think that PES2014 will be the most important release in the series' history. Unless it really wows the general public, a lot more people will abandon it for good. This next game needs to get it right from every angle. From gameplay, to graphics, to game modes, to online, to game maintenance.
 
Did the update address this essential flaw in the game: When you tackle a player and both players (the one you control and the dispossessed cpu player) are out of sorts and the ball is loose, your teammates will run away from the loose ball thinking you (the tackler) will have it in your possession but the cpu's teammates will run towards the ball thinking (rightly) that the cpu player was dispossessed. Both sets of teammates should be running towards the ball. The ball is fucking loose. Both players going down during a tackle is the definition of a loose ball.

Such simple, fundamental errors in gameplay are starting to crush my joy for this game. And I have really been loving this game.

Edit: So I just scored a header by Demba Ba in which his entire upper body passed through Huth's upper body and head. The game ended 1-0. I don't understand how I am supposed to enjoy this victory. I don't know what Konami expects me to do with this feeling.

I thought the through ball was broken on 1.00, inaccurate to the point I used regular passes instead. Now it seems they've corrected it a bit.

Do i need to delete data pack saves? I have ever DP2 that was on early a couple of days ago, but have connection issues. Should I delete it and download the new one? Is the new data pack 2 different from data pack 2 I downloaded already is what I basically mean?
