shopto is retarded. my CC kept failing it ended up making 3 orders..the stupid idiots have sent confirmation of 3 payments and are sending out 3 copies of pes for me...retards

I bumped the game up to Top Player this afternoon and it's been stunning. First game was an exciting 0-0 draw between Schalke and Spartak Moskow, I edged out the first half, was pinned back in my own half for large chunks of the second half, with the CPU missing a sitter late on before I almost stole the win late on with a rare break away. Possession rates ended 50-50.

Second game and I won 2-1 as Parma v Sienna. I went 1-0 down in an even match, came back with a downward header (using R2 seems to enable downward headers far more than ever before which I love) before I won the game late on, and against the run of play with a 30-yard screamer in off the post and into the top corner. I'll post it in the video thread.

I don't understand claims that shooting is floaty.

This is the sole reason I'm suffering chronic lack of sleep, still it's better than if you make the fatal mistake of "encouraging" her to go to bed early - they see through it EVERY time and its hell to pay the next day lol

Guys, do you think there is difference between PES Versions, US one and PAL version. ? I remember, in PS2 days Winning Eleven (Japan) would always be somewhat different but in a good / better way.

As for shots, they're definitely not floaty. Have saved a few replays that I'll upload sometime next week. And R2 shots are very similar to demo 1, a bit too easy.

One thing I have noticed that's different from the demos is that the CPU do press more, which creates a bit of a 2012 vibe. The dreaded park the buss defense has also reared its ugly head more than once and it's just dreadful. I should add that this is in ML so gameplay is probably a bit different from exhibition games.

Demo v.1 had a lot better gameplay.
More freedom, unpredictable, better lob through passes, better animation/collisions, more responsive players, better shooting, better ball behavior.
Is there any possible way to bring them back in the final version?
PLEASE?? Yair???

I can't agree with above mate. The final game gameplay tops any of the demos imo :).

Can't stop playing it now :o.

Heck had some of those games which reminded me of good old times... That's enough recommendation.

Goalkeepers can be a bit shakey at times, but I wouldn't want them to be like in FIFA (where they turn into almost Gods at times O_O).

Ball weight, passing, shooting is also much better. Player switching no need to mention it miles better.

Yeah final version is better than the demos IMO. Far better.

Guys.
Im'telling you.
The final version has been tweaked down.
Less freedom, worse collision system, the ball doesn't interact with bodies well, increased CPU cheat.
Also, double X (standing tackle) is not effective enough, while cpu steals the ball like a lollipop from you.
Lobbed through passes are 99% stolen by the cpu defender.
And the cpu defenders always catch-up the attacker no matter how fast he is.
Trust me i run Demo and final version simultaneously, and i switch between them with Alt-Tab. I play 2 minutes of each kai the differences are obvious.
THERE IS A TWEAK-DOWN!

when defending how do you shrug players off the ball when running side by side with the dribbler. when im attacking defenders always make my dribbler stumble around but im not sure how to do it to them

How do you shield the ball?

And how do you perform controlled low shots with the inside of the boot on 1 v 1 against GK?

Has this been removed? I want the old realistic looking animation of R2 where you see the players body adjust to perform this finish.

Those are Konami guys man. We have to be carefull and jugde by ourselves and not listen to people who produce enthusiastic noises.

The game is not perfect and its not very bad its somewhere in the middle. I must admit that i expected a lot more for the year 2012. If i where Konami i would charge this game 10 euros, no more.

I am not KONAMI guy by any means. I have YT account where I upload games vids, but mostly FIFA/PES ones on there.

I can say you this: final gameplay > demo 1 and demo 2 gameplay, but you start to notice that only after a good run of games or if you delve into competition games straight away. Then you notice team styles, player ids, ai movement a lot better imo.

Also I did find out that form arrows don't have THAT huge of an impact on your team performances this year as it was last year when your players turned into dumb zombies ;). Which is a plus I guess.

In my CL campaign with Milan btw I lost the final on penos vs Man Utd :(. Darn it :P.

As for something more, Barcelona finally in AI hands, does intend to play as them. Short passing, one touch passing, clever use of Xavi/Iniesta through balls ability, no crazy amount of crosses into box. This shows AI has been worked on heavily this year imo.

I just wish such high quality work does go into PES 2014 development. FIFA should be scared as this year, gameplay wise, PES 2013 > FIFA 13 imo. I played both demos a lot and liked FIFA 13 better, but full game of PES... with First Touch based on stats added, changed the views opposite. PES is king. FOR ME. This year.

Hail to the PES loving community :). Kei brought what was missing back to the game. Randomness and Individuality.

Does monitor refresh rate affect gameplay? As I've found the full game sluggish compared to the first demo running on my 120Hz monitor.

I'll switch to 60Hz tonight after I get home to test it.

Well i can safely say Pes 2013 is simply Pes 2012 only smoother.

And thats it.

It's exactly the same game.

I have yet to see any of the improved keeper animations i saw in demo 1. The graphics are absolutely horrible, i mean the goals are just boxes. The nets are unbelievably bad.

My wife just said whilst i was playing, that looks crap, it looks about 10 years old. And she doesnt even play games. Kind of says it all.

Yeah its smoother, its pace is good, i like the camera angles, but i dont feel the thrill i did with Demo 1. Not sure what they have done in all honesty. Its like they shit themselves after feedback and just tried to play it safe.

Theres no layers of 'deep tactical mechanics' theres nothing to learn, like a lot of people brag, theres no huge learning curve here, its just an average game. And ill be sticking it on when i fancy a break from the other game, just for the break. Damn shame.

Sorry to hear that. Sort of had a feeling this may be the case. Maybe with with more play time it'll blossom...

Got to say guys, in fairness and balance, the more I'm playing ML the more I feel the cheat scripts and the more I just feel disengaged from controlling my players.

The first 20 games have been a joy. There has been variety and randomness and I've sun it's praises. The last 5/6 games the old problems from 2012 are raising its head. Unbalanced CPU stats and boosts, a more linear feel to the gameplay, teams suddenly not respecting their stats and play. Ping pong CPU passing, CPU players suddenly just going through my players whereas before body positioning and strength was taken into consideration.

I hope it's just a blip. I really do. But I earlier has a 4-0 loss to Everton, where I just felt that 3 goals were scripted. And now against Reading just a couple of events out of my control that led to some pretty bad goals, that yesterday wouldn't have happened, or indeed in the demos.

Again guys, may be just a bad few games. I've had enough good ones to know and feel the difference.
