PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Just sold pes 2012.
Got 6 quid for it. Good deal, as I was only expecting 2.
I hope Konami don't royally fuck gameplay up as well in 2013, like they did with patches in the last one.
 
It's funny, initially I was upset about the boots thing in ML but it's made me curious. No doubt ML will be different, but I think it could be fun in a different way now. Can't wait for Sept 25th when the game comes out in Canada.
 
Yair you will need to work your magic on those scripted goalkeeper deflections. Seriously how the keeps get so much praise on pes is unreal. The scripting for deflected saves is terrible on pes 13.

In certain areas they are alot better than FIFA. Particularly on the demo I've seen alot more subtle deflections off the keeper that still trickle in. The keeper getting a finger on the ball but only deflecting it a degree of two, those sort of things.

It was more due to playing online mate.PES is a different animal against human opponents. I guarantee you find the right players online and you will swear you are playing the best game ever made.

The one thing that konami did do though was tone down the pressure tackle. The muppets were moaning the refs were too harsh and konami made them less lenient.

On 2012 the refs will punish untimed tackles but fail to hand out cards for multiple offenders.
 
Exactly why i loved Pes 2008 on the pc. I had a league going with some english guys and we were using teams like spurs fulham etc.

It is a shame that people dont realize these games are more fun with mid level teams cos you get that dynamic error and not so stale game play.

You haven't got to tell me that. Back on PES6 (360), I did two seasons in the Pro Evo Network Premier League as Sochaux and Lens. It doesn't get more mediocre than that.

There is still plenty of fun to be had with the top teams though. I don't subscribe to the theory that PES only shines with average teams. I used to have some great battles with friends on PES5 with the likes of Milan, Juve, Inter, Barca, etc..

Agreed mate. You can have top games if your opponent plays with style rather than spamming 1 player or defending with R1 + X for 90 mins

:CONFUSE: Oh no like I supposed that means I can't play with more then one team and I have to choose the master league mode which I don't like.

Why did they do that? I just want to play a normal season without being a manager like in master league mode.

there is almost no managing in the ML, no need to make transfers
more of a point are the boots and all those new stuff, the messages appearing in the ML and so on..

Well I just wanted to play a season like in league mode of PES 2012 and all the other games of the series before, I don't want to play ML and I want to choose more then one team.

I don't like ML mode with rpg elements and other stuff, I just want to play a season with 3 or 4 teams.

Don't understand why konami did that, they got more license and then you can't just play a season.

That is the proper spelling of his name Just like Adebayo. Both are African names mis-spelt for better pronunciation from westerners who still butcher it :P

Last time i played league mode was in 2005 -06. My brother and I guiding Athletico Madrid to the La Liga.

I said PES shines with the bad teams cos it changes you whole mentality and how you use your star player and how you counter the opponents singular star player. It certainly feels more organic than using top teams especially since you have to watch fatigue and injuries twice as hard.

closing in on pes 2013 day by day and my galatasaray has champions league match coming up with man u yippee!
 
I have three days to decide to cancel my pes order and go with FIFA.
Pes suits my style of player better but with league modes gone and a childish ML there's nothing for me to play on it other than exhibition games.

Cancel it, the less playes buy it the more they will realize they have to improve these things, the reason why pes hasn't really improved that much in the past years is because alot of people are happy with these mediocre games.

But you don't really know anything about this ML – nobody does. Do you know how it plays after one season? Five seasons? How many boots unlock, what they do, how many players in your squad will have them, what actual effect they have on gameplay over the course of a gruelling campaign? "No, but I can imagine based on what I've heard that it won't be for me" is ALL that this (forgive me) silly 'pre-prejudice' against PES2013's ML is based on. Scant information and hysteria.
