PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

the traning on the demo is doing my head in.
I just cant do it. Maybe its because I change my controller to custom but the intructions they are giving me seem to be incorrect.
I cant be that bad.

what are you stuck on ? i can help , unless its nutmeg shot or long balls, cause i couldnt do them either lol

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Anyone else hoping there is a nice early PC leak just for revenge over not releasing demo 2 for us PCers? That would be poetic justice.

Nah. Let's support Konami guys for giving us great gameplay this year and show support for PC platform.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Dribbling no 2 - when the player comes towards you and you kind of slalom through. Just can't do it!

thats easy (and yes, they give the wrong instructions lol)

move forward > let go of all buttons > right stick down/up > left stick forward

if youre buying the game you shoudl really give the command list a look, first thing i did in the demo to learn all the buttons

What great game play? As a PC user I can't make an informed decision yet as to buy the game as the 2nd demo is still not available.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

The other option is to fuck master league in the bin and set up Evo-Web leagues for the various platforms.

I know Danny was looking into forming a PC player's league. Nothing to stop the 360 and PS3 players doing the same.

Setting up a league with B or C rated teams (thus avoiding Barca, Real etc) can be a lot of fun.

Or join PEEL.

There's definitely enough regular posters here to set-up a mini league of sorts. Thats my main incentive of buying the game anyway, as I cannot see how MLO will escape Konami's madcap ideas.

The gameplay itself is solid enough. It's just a case of getting an active community so there's always an option of a decent match. And tbh, it's always been like that. Even in the glory days, if you went online in random lobbies nine times out of ten you'd end up playing against Adriano's 4-2-4 Inter Milan. With them either constantly hitting the wings to cut-back, or ripping apart the net from 40 yards with Adrianos sledgehammer left foot.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I was reading this news story on VirtualR today and it got me thinking (and a little worried) about the future of PES. Yes, it's about the PC racing sim rFactor so apologies if this post seems a little bit off-topic, but I think the subject matter is very relevant to PES.

So Porsche has essentially threatened a modding team with legal action if they publicly release an upcoming Porsche Cup mod. I think there is a potentially dangerous and unfortunate precedent to be set here in that the PC (and console) modding scene could be turned on its head if companies take exception to their name and products being used without their consent. Could this have an affect on PES if, say, the Premier League or Bundesliga threaten PES modders with legal action? EA pays a lot a money for these two licences yet PES fans can get a similar level of authenticity for free (via patches and OF's).

This kind of subject could probably use its own thread.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

seriously, whats wrong with you, konami guys!? freaking load of stadiums and only 1 turf pattern!? tell me, what dafuq is wrong with you!? :(

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

All the same pitch textures then:( I'd be happier with one stadium and a dozen or more different pitch patterns. Ah well.

PES 2008 had different patterns :SMUG:

PS makky might want a back rub.
Why Zee?

I think he means matty, lol.

'pubicly'

people would still create them and share it with a friend.... wenb, evoweb, pesfan... everyone would just private message everyone else for the file lol

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

come to think of it didnt something similar happen on pesfan ?? option files were banned for a while wernt they ? i cant remember properly..

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Nice to see all these Spanish stadiums there. Boots or no boots, I'm all eager to play a Master League with Valencia in that magnificent Mestalla stadium :BOP:

However, we will still have to edit the D2 league right? I don't want the likes of Serignaluca and Marguaparena FC to be invading La Liga 1st Division.
Those of us who don't have time to edit 8 or 10 teams from scratch are left wishing for the community to produce Option Files that will cater to this particular need.

Konami could be including some 2nd division teams for the European leagues, even if unlicensed - but at least with the right players!
Instead, they give us boots :P

yeah right!!! so why? what could be the reason? someone of you specialists will know an answer that makes sense to me! cmon!

different textures would make the game so more authentic, as we see more pitch the most of the time (in a match), not the actual stadium or their surroundings!!

:TU:

you read my mind

liga bbva will be excellent to play in for both consoles and pc, hopefully they captured the crowds chants just to add to the authenticity.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Going to pick Roma for my MLO team this year, simple fact is I love the kit too much

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Is it just me or is there actually more than 1 turf pattern? I remember coming across various ones when I played BAL in the Dutch league.

Those stadiums are looking nice though!

Matty - check out Daymos' fantastic option file for Xbox over on www.onlyproevolutions.com

Hi-res images now and fairly quick to load. All usable online etc, with proper names.

Probably edit mode stadiums. Those can have different turfs and patterns XD

Btw about the Dutch League, when I was playing 2012 BAL I noticed all the teams had their stadiums.. You know before the match you see the stadium's names. That means 2012 had all Dutch stadiums then? Or is it just the names?

The option file you used probably included the names.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

That's weird. I don't recall seeing that. Thought I'd just got the Npower OF :CONFUSE:

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I was wondering the same thing. It could be the case that they had been edited. But I do remember seeing little adboards with league names etc. I can't remember exactly what it was but something made it feel more authentic. And this is on Xbox which doesn't have the full customisation options in the adboards I think.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Lami - I think you can assign 1 stadium to multiple teams but give it a different name so that the stadium shows up with the correct title depending on which team's home game it is. Or is that new for this year. Thought it was there on PES 2012 too.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Regarding the leagues for various platforms, I think it would be good to have a thread (or a sticky?) for names to be added so that we can have a community for Xbox, PS3 and PC. Even if there's no leagues for the time being, we can at least see who else is on and request a friendly game...perhaps with some etiquette laid out in the thread?

To be honest, if I'm online, I'd be playing MLO at the start when I have time as opposed to random games but it's always nice to have the option there.

Ok yes I just found that. Can't believe I only found out now

Was looking under stadiums but couldn't see anything, then went into teams and then home ground. So that's not a 2013 thing.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Do you use manual offside trap? Or change cursor to CB to run backwards thus nulling offside, instead of putting him offside? You will see the cpu give more bad passes instead of always giving that 'supposed killer' pass. Those little things might help. But i agree that it's somewhat dodgy at times.
Konami said that they're still working on improving the GK and defensive line form and awareness etc.

Btw does anyone remember how the CPU AI played in Pes2009? If this game only had that buildup play by the AI for the CPU combined with current AI. Then wooooooooow

Yes I use manual offside but it don't work sometimes due to FBs or some stray players not moving up in time. (wish there is defence line control card)

Maybe I will do as you suggested to manual move the control cursor to CB and let AI take control of my CM. But in some cases, there is only a split second window because the AI plays so directly.

Thanks for the tip. :))
