Demo 2, with tweaking still miles ahead of the competition and pes 2012 though.
Hope it doesn't put everyone off lol.

The real question is did Simeone have to buy Falcao's boots equipped with hat-trick chance multiplier?

I think that so long as natural player development remains and that they can at least patch out the boot nonsense for CPU teams and "real" players in your squad, then the rest can be simply dismissed as a rubbish optional diversion.

Can we also have the option to add fire decal stickers to our boots? They should grant the player a speed boost, because clearly ML has jumped the shark. I'm also in favor of including the pussy magnet upgrade.

Will it actually be possible to make a patch to assign all players their correct boots in ML mode? If it is possible then I won't be too bothered, for me the ML would be ruined by all default black boots though.

Agreed. This is a much bigger issue for me than the news about ML. Shooting in demo 1 was fun -- an emotion I've rarely experienced from playing PES games in recent years.

Totally agree about the shooting mechanics. It's right but sometimes wrong.

imagine if we were this spoiled when classic nintendo games first came out.. ej. ninja gaiden, double dragon, etc

nowadays people are unhappy because of a game they haven't even tried yet

Honestly, that´s pathetic, grow up people, wait for the game release to test it, and if you don´t like the game simply don´t buy it.

Its ridiculous though man. But we still need detail. I wasn't ashamed to don a shiny new boot for BAL.

Shocked at how few play ML lately. Maybe that's why konami playing with these additions.

We need specifics though so far we have half stories.

How can you test it without buying it? You're advising piracy mate.

No go for me. Any legit way to test it? As in Poland shops are like: you bought it, opened the original box, you can't re-found it. Sorry.

So? I cancelled my pre-order and will hear people opinion on this when they get the game.

Doubt that many people will like the idea and believe me it's not based solely on Adam post. :)

Just tried the EU demo 2 for the first time, how people can say its the same as the US demo is beyond me. I played all 3 demos back to back, 2 games of each.
Really enjoyed demo 1 apart from the shooting, every shot is hit with venom and its far too accurate. The only time there seems to be variation is when using R2.
US demo 2 was next and felt too fast after playing 1, the CPU pressure is too intense and the ref blew for everything. The only improvements over demo were the player switching after passing, passing seems a bit tighter and the shooting has been reined in.
EU demo 2 is the best of the lot and is probably the best footy game I ever played. The pace is slower than US and it feels heavier as a result. The CPU pressure is like demo 1 and better for it. The refs are far more lenient and made the US demo seem a bit silly in comparison. The shooting is great and may be more refined than the US demo. I dont understand the complaining about the shooting, for the pace of the game the shots seem bang on to me and no where near as impotent as some of the stuff in PES2012.
I really hope that the EU demo is what Konami are releasing as retail, a game this good is worth a ridiculous ML.

Has anyone tried the Winning Eleven demos to see if they are different? They did this with 2011, 3 different demos, Konami are mental.

utter bullshit , why cant be the same as in the past at least? a plain and simple competition...but even if they want to include this buy this buy that thing...not gonna work , only maybe if u have a custom team from divison x , a team that doesnt have 13 training field or 5 gym and whatsoever....i could come up with ideas but the best would be if they just make a HATTRICK account at KONAMI and see what kind of expenses and incomes could a club have and how u could spend your money for your stadium, players, staff, fans etc also other stuff could be included that work and could be added easily in a game mode like this with ease and would make the mode much more complex and real life like

Just found out about all this "magic boot" nonsense and in the words of Duncan Bannatyne "I'm out". What the hell has possessed Konami to go down this route? What next magic laces and studs for your boots,or how about some magic socks and shinpads? Ridiculous.

i already hated this boost ability of the boots in the last year's game...i mean what happend? Adidas came in and said...WE HAVE SUPER BOOTS REGARDING OUR COMMERCIALS AND IF UUUUUU...!!!....i would stand up and would give them the finger

Decisions, decisions. Should I wear "pink leo underpants to give myself +5 agility boost" or do I wear "black puma boots to boost my speed by 3 and finishing by 2."

Or do I buy dribbling poles to give myself +3 dribbling stat boost...

Or stopwatch for +5 speed boost.

Nonsense? Yes, but looks like we will get this xD.

exactly ...i have no idea who unleashed that idiot on the project ML and who is the other idiot , accepted the ideas...

if i were there:

- there would be expenses for the stadium, staff, players, merchendises, etc
- there would be incomes from tickets, merchendises, competitions, sponsors
- the supporters would have a mood level regarding how your team is doing and that would mean how many of them would come to see the games and it would affect your income
- you could build stadium for money...you would start with a basic one and then you could expand it (get it, PES already has create a stadium mode) so you could sell more tickets, you could add kiosks, merchendise shops in it ...well maybe thats too much feature already,if you would start with MANU for example, you would already have Old Trafford but you could still expand the number of the seats altough you couldnt modify the look of the stadium
- you could loan players for money (thats still not an option in ml i guess..maybe)...
- if u be a bigger club , your players would demand more salary
- as for the players you would have training sessions for stamina, goalkeeping etc per week and u had to choose wisely
- u could buy different coach teams with different coaching level and other staff members, like doctors... wich would affect the healing time of a player
- you could make a youth academy (no more young Del Pieros) for money ofcourse who would play other youth sides (you would only see the players rating every week)and you could call up 1 player in a week for free
- you could make a deal with sponsor (im not sure about the number) and the sponsor - if you have custom team would appear on your kit or in your custom stadium as adboard - would appear during a cutscene before kick -off or during the match sometime on the bottom of the screen
(- authentic commentary especially for the league modes mentioning last weeks results, the important matches going during your game or talking about the upcoming blocbusters)

in a nutshell thats it...it wouldnt be complicated but would be fun ...for me at least :)

Sure you don't have to use the boots, but they are thrown in your face, and the secretary is always reminding you, same for the training stat boosts.

The CPU is doing it too, so it's an important aspect of ML. I'm positive you could ignore it and just get on with it, but it will be always be there, if you know what I mean.

What did i tell you? Normal player development is still there :))
Anyway tell me, what is wrong if you can buy a sort of treatment boost? As long as it's expensive enough and doesn't become a sort of cheat it's not so weird
