PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I hope this demo is THE one that wins my heart back again. I've just completely lost the love for PES recently with just way too many niggling things ruining the whole experience. The equalising of attack v defence sounds promising, but what KONAMI need to pay attention to is the equalising of the rules that the human player has to abide by compared to the CPU. CPU players need to be more aware of space and when they are getting closed down and pass more defensively in accordance with a real life situation. Every CPU player looks to go forwards, forwards all the time with their first touches. Closer possession statistics need to be addressed urgently, and CPU attacking patterns simply have to be enhanced. If they can do this for demo 2, then I'm all over it.

http://www.konami-pes2013.com/en/2012/08/second-pes-demo-will-be-available-next-week/

The new and improved PES 2013 demo will be available for download on Xbox 360 on August 28th, and on PlayStation 3 on August 29th. A Windows PC version will be available later in September.
Thanks to the feedback received from all our fans who tried our first demo and those who played our gamescom version, our new second demo is packed with improvements.

Not only has the balance between offense and defence been equalised, but our fans will be able to see the improvements made in pass targeting and trajectory, shot speed, blocking actions by defenders and even on the referee AI.

Our new demo will include 11 fully licensed teams and the possibility to play 10 minute matches. Also new anthems have been implemented for the starting line-ups and fans will have the possibility of experiencing for the first time our brand new training trials.

So get ready for our new demo and keep an eye on our site for further news heading your way!
nice. demo for my ps3 on my birthday

You can't. And that is the difference between Fifa and PES in that regard. Zero Assistance doesnt actually mean fully manual. There is still assistance. I find that is pretty much the same with L2.

Edit - Also, I find that offline play can benefit from the assistance levels. As an example, when I have my mates over for our weekly Lads Night, the least experienced players that don't own PES will probably be given 1-Bar, the rest of us will be Zero. It's a slight handicap that really does level out the playing field across the board.

Manual passing has to have some degree of stat influence otherwise you'd be able to play your players anywhere you wanted them and it would have no influence in the outcome of the game.

You could have John Terry partnering Joe Hart up front and if your a great player at zero assistance you could win every game with them scoring hatful of goals.

As long as they get the balance right between manual and stat influence it will be great. But who's to say that if I like everyone else is going to. That's why we have degrees of pass assistance i suppose. :)

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I dont like the bit about changing shooting speed...sounds like theyre going to butcher shooting yet again to "appease" fans. I think konami should stop worrying about fan feedback cause it seems its just a bunch of 12 year olds complaining nonsensically about stupid stuff.

If anything the shooting accuracy should be the thing that needs to be tweaked. More shots need to skied when rushed/under pressure etc. I fully expect the final version to have floaty shots again.

And no mention of the real issues..including player switching and the buggy one touch passing?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

i have one of these controllers. basically you can control how high/low your triggers are set, so it can help with games like cod where you want to shoot fast... for pes 2013 demo i have put my left trigger all the way down so manual passing always on and i tell you it is a joy to play... the game flows amazingly

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Brazilian leage... I love it! I will just edit the name to "Brasileirão Serie A" as soon as I put my hans on the full game. It will be great to play brazilian league and spanish league this year.

It seems that Konami is doing their best to get more licenses of stadiums to add to the Brazilian league, so there's a possibility of having dlc in te feature including news stadiums.

I think this year it was confirmed that you can play "brasileirão" on ML and if your club gets in the 4th or better place at the end of the league, you can be classified to play the Libertadores in the next season, I think the same will happen to european league. I hope this is true, it'd be awesome.

My only wish now is to have a really decent CPU as the member ccshopland said, and I hope they fix some issues with the Cursor, specially in manual pass.

Waiting for the demo 2, just 5 days away...

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Isn't it... Scuf controller? :D

http://scufgaming.eu/

It cost some money. Was wondering if I should get one, but decided not to seeing the prices haha :D.

yep thats it... its great controller mainly because of 2 buttons on the back (you can choose what they are, i choose A & B)... seriously, this is something next gen controllers NEED... because when playing games i never remove my thumbs from the analogues....

... maybe not worth the money though, youre looking at 50 pound plus, but that depends on the person

Agreed, demo 1 has many disturbing problems. I'm really curious what aspects were improved for demo 2, but too bad that the PC-version gets delayed.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

This just makes me smile. :)

I guess the option to choose your nationality for commentary is back in within some form. Whether that be in-game or by choosing Portuguese as a language, it's going to be awesome to play some Brazilian matches with Brazilian commentators. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !! :CONFUSE: :WOOT:

But this brazilian comentator (Silvio Luiz) doesn't scream GOOAAALLLLL :P

He screams "éééééééé", something that sounds like "eeehhh...." I think.. Just listen to what he says after Neymar goal on the trailer, it's not "goal".

Maybe spanish comentator screams "goal".

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

pes on pc... when you mod all these stadiums and turfs etc, do they work for online? or do you go back to the game defaults?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Balls :((. Whilst we're off topic I was gonna go to Ipswich v Charlton in a few weeks but your lot are charging £34 for a ticket?!

Yep, fucking rip-off mate. I don't go so much now because of the ticket prices. The away fans get charged more but that seems to be the case at most clubs.

If you haven't been to Portman Road before it's a nice easy trip. An hour from Liverpool street and a five minute walk from the station.

I've been to the Valley twice but not since the ground was upgraded to 30,000 or whatever it is now.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

27,111 ;)).

Yeah I've been to watch Ipswich v Charlton in the past so I won't bother either. Would've driven as I live in Gravesend anyway so only be an hour drive. Shame. I went to Charlton v Leicester on Tuesday night and that was only £25.

Tickets for home fans are normally £25+ (around £30 for a half decent seat) although they have category A/B/C games now so prices vary depending on the opposition. I hate that. I go to watch my team, not the opposition.

Football is expensive now though. And the club wonders why gates have fallen from around 25,000 to less than 20,000.
