PES 2013 Discussion Thread

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

On another note someone recently sung the praises of the lofted pass on the demo, I agree its delicious, especially with pass masters like Pirlo, D'Alessandro, Ganso etc. Its very useful when you want to play a chipped through ball from a deeper position, you can use it as an alternative.

I'm happy to admit I overuse the lofted pass. It's a thing of beauty when done right.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I need help.
if possible, user tips, using a ATI graphics board

personally use an ATI Radeon 4670, playing other games without any problems.

With Pes 2013 happens, the game has "microsttuning", some already know what it is.

At this time using "RadeonPro tool" and a configuration suggested by "Hawke" (THANKS!) to remove the annoying "microsttuning"

Enabling the option "high priority" the game is softer than ever, very fluid, :), although to 11-12 seconds down to 52-53 FPS, which makes it unplayable and the game breaks.
I read that has been solution for many users, but strangely I suffer from this "delay", 2 or 3 times a game, it really is strange and not to do.
I think I'm the only user with this problem here.

I've also used all possible combinations.
with triple buffering, V-sync and all others.
the game is incredible with "high priority", but I suffer the unbearable delay.

This may sound stupid, but I left to solve this problem. the difference in smoothness using ATI Tool, the default set is very large.

This year the game I like, but not everything is perfect, and hoping the end code.

Any advice using ATI vga?

thank you very much everyone.

I'm using the ATI Radeon HD 7850 which is obviously a much newer card, however I was getting some microstutters in PES2012 when I first installed it. I can't remember what I did to stop it, but it went away in the end.

Have you downloaded the latest AMD drivers for your card?

Frame skipping enabled?

Any anti-virus running in the background?

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I'm loving PES 2013, but it's another year of having to split the difference between FIFA and PES because the latter doesn't have Online Clubs. Unfortunately, I can only be competitive at one football game at a time, as they play completely different. That's why I always limited my PES time in recent years because I wanted to stay sharp for online clubs in FIFA.

It's understandable, as Konami don't have the sort of resources available to them that EA has. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it's still frustrating.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

 you fucking crack me up dude.

Me and a particular friend of mine used to religiously play PES together back in the old days, picked Nigeria vs Cameroon all the time, used to always have epic games against one another with those teams!

BABANGIDAAAAAAAA!

We commented on how gay the celebrations were, it did look like a mass bumming session when a goal was scored, rofl.

That's what makes PES gold, moments like that and the "CELERY!" on the flags in the crowd, all of that stuff, love it :D
I always used to think the "celery" was Taribo West fans, judging by his hair being some kind of celery, perhaps the kind you could only find in a liquorice factory.

Babangida, good lord he was amazing and made Amokachi out to be a waste of space. I too had a friend I'd play PES with religiously back in the day and yes, Tijani was there in both our Master Leagues. With the greatest of respect too, long-range goal specialist Lawal was always given a shout-out whenever on the ball, in our most ridiculous laid-back African accents. "Laaaaaawaaaaal". Same went for Stephen Appiah, he got an "I'm Appiahman" with the same accent. Looking back I'm not sure why.

These celebrations, they made my mate and I suffer an awkward silence at first and then we just nervously laughed them off after a while. We'd play PES in my bedroom or his and were early teenagers. You know your side but do you trust your mate at that age when he says "yeah all birds are fit mate?" - No. Nowadays, I love these bent celebrations as it wouldn't be the same without them. Golden. I don't have any awkwardness now, hey I showed my mother them in PES2011 and now my son has seen them in the new demo. He just says "awwwww, yeah they're the best of friends".

yeah mate.. avg and malwarebytes

Strangest of all, today I installed Diablo 3, and have had no problems.
same problem also remember PES 2012.

in another thread has talked about the performance of this graphics engine ATI cards.
I'm frustrated.
further that this graphics engine is not at all demanding.

Try downloading AMD GPU Clock Tool and set the clocks to your card's default (3d), then run the demo.

'The multi-million dollar games giant Konami chooses not to make the same resources available to the PES team that EA makes available to the FIFA team', would be more accurate.

Konami is not, never has been, and never will be the underdog in this.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

been playing the Demo more recently, really like the game apart from some ridiculous moments (player will run away/hesitate whether its defensively or offensively leading to you going mad.)

yeah i know its a real pain because no matter how good pes is fifa still has that one mode that i only really play.... even if the game play is terrible :( i might have to buy fifa this year still even though im loving pes13 demo... KONAMI ADD PRO CLUBS MODE

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

LOL so besides the gameplay people now want game modes like FIFA?! Seriously buy the Fifa 13 game and the god awful Cr7 shite PES cover (I am sure) and voila #kill2birdswith1stone

Kieth my Konami I very much doubt Konami have the resources EA have.

KONAMI does have money and resources. They earn billions each year and it's not only down to Pro Evo franchise ;).

As to game modes... Dude, get your head out of your ass for once? The online modes FIFA have killed PES for most people.

FIFA online > PES online in terms of game has to offer. The possibilities on FIFA are endless (Pro Clubs, Ranked Matches, Friendlies, Virtual CM Leagues! (this year addition), Ultimate Team, etc.).

What does PES offer in that regard? The only thing worthwhile is Master League Online. That's it.

If you don't see this you're a fool beyond belief... (and yes I do love PES, but ffs seeing what needs to be improved and implemented is not bad idea once in a while :P).

I also liked FIFA Career Offline Mode better than PES Football Life thing, because it had slicker presentation, was more realistic, but what ruined it was core gameplay elements (btw I loved old Master League of PES 2011 more than FL too).

I appreciate what their trying to achieve but the execution is lacking.

Di Maria's incorrect dribbling makes me wonder when this was edited.

Anyway, hopefully some news will be released today.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I hope night matches look that good in the retail version!! But we'll probably get the washed out bright white look again lol :(

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I'm mostly amazed by the fact that there wasn't any rubbish music on the video.Truly amazed

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I very much doubt Konami have the resources EA have.

They certainly do have enough of the key resource required – money. Sales worth $2.25 BILLION. A net profit of nearly a quarter of a billion. That's a very healthy balance sheet. It doesn't matter if EA have a million billion or whatever their figures are. They both have more than enough to put in place the infrastructure to make a great football game.

What Konami don't have is the will to invest in PES beyond its current level.

It only takes money to put in place the kind of infrastructure that EA has supporting the FIFA series. Konami are happy enough providing a middling level of support (by comparison). Happy enough with sales and critical reception. There's a sweet spot between level of investment and profit, and they must have hit it.

I challenge any suggestion that Konami is some kind of plucky underdog fighting for freeeedom against the evil EA empire. It's definitely not.

Of course they do have the money. Konami is a huge company and it's been around since the beginning of gaming. It's the PES department that don't have all the resources needed though. They are given a certain budget by the board. Hopefully opening a branch in the UK means they recognize and approve more money in is needed.

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Played some more of the demo last night. I'm happy with many aspects of the game, but I can't get my head around one thing: why are my centre forwards always static??

Was that team mate control thing (with R3) designed to make up for the lack of movement of forwards? No more clever runs, not even to open space for the player in possession.

This R3 feature should be an add-on, and without it the game should still be playable. But it turns out the game forces us to use this thing.
I for one, don't want to use this. I want my AI team mates do give me options.
Cmon wake up Konami!

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

I'm a little concerned by the amount of high score lines I'm having. Had quite a few 4-4, 3-3 matches...

Re: PES 2013 Discussion Thread .......

Konami PES Streaming from Gamescom, thanks WENB for link.

konami-onair03 on USTREAM: gamescom, konami, videogames.

Tim7, are those scores vs COM or other players? I'm finding I'm getting really low scores vs COM even in 20 min games. But I've always been good at defending and terrible at attacking. In contrast, the first time I played 2vs2 with friends the score was 6-3 but eventually scores got lower as people learned the defending system.
