PES 2012 Football Life thread

Well last night (after my post) i switched Bates to RB and put McManus (finally back from injury) into the centre and my defence seems a little tighter, though im yet to keep a cleansheetthis year.. bates is definately stronger down the right for me, and no own goals since the switch! Kinda feel bad for calling him a mess :)
Emnes and Long are competing well for top scorer i think with 5 and 6 respectively will post my latest results in a bit :)
 
I am playing on a PC Pes2012, PesEdit 2.3, ML with Arsenal. Very good and nice, but I've got a problem:
Gervinho and Wallcot are wingers and whoever plays at far part of the pitch (depending on the half) drops to the near side alongside the other winger.
It leaves my far wing completely exposed both in defence and in attack.
I've tried lowering the swithc position slider to 4, changing positions to Side Midfielders, but nothing. It still happens.
Can anyone help me, please? It ruins the whole game.
 
oh my days.. i swear im just not meant to play PES this year, my brother has taken my ONLY control away to his mates for the next few days lord knows when i will get that back.. so no PS3 at all :O :(
 
I would like to share my ML experience. its has been so rewarding, this game really throws any competition out of the window.
I started my offline ML with West Ham on professional difficulty. I won the championship with 3 games to spare. :COOL:.
Carew is an absolute beast of a striker, really good in the air, and takes a decent shot. He was the leading goal scorer in the league. Also Piquionne contributed every time Carew was down.I dint lose a single game at HOME. Infact , just drew 2 games, n won the rest, conceding the minimum number of goals in the league. Only 15.
Bouba Diop has been fantastic for me, in the middle of the park, breaking opposition attacks and helping in attack with his rocket shots.:SHOCK:.
I have been majorly into the 'Physical' training for my team, occasionally shifting to 'Strategy'.
Using 'Condition' 2 days before every match. The Speed go the team has decreased, but i have made my team, typical English side, which can't be shaken off the ball easily. Physical stats have gone really high, n with players like C.Cole, Carew, Boupa Diop, W.Reid, Faye etc, all tall and physical players. ;)

Got promoted to PL, Won the first match at White Heart Lane (Sweet 1-0), and after that, it has become difficult with majority of my players on low form. Also I am finding it difficult to keep the same defense i had in the championship. i am conceding goals now, and really feeling the heat. Currently i am 12th in the table after 16 matches. The target from the boss is a UEFA spot, is he F*cking kidding me?? first season with West ham, n he wants a european place??
Even my Home record isn't that great anymore.
I just hope I somehow achieve that, but seems very very difficult as of now. will keep updating.

Also i have placed some younger players, and players who aren't able to play much, on LOAN list, but not getting any offers. Any ideas on that?
Also I feel the level from Championship to PL is really high, just like in real life. Great game this:)):APPLAUD:
 
It seems that Master League has taken a lot of time from me.

I'm on my third season, and this is my team.



I also have some good substitutes like Shimizu, Hélder Postiga, Pablo Barrera, Zuculini and Ivodovic.

Something I didn´t expected and I was like OMG when I saw it. (Second season, player of the year)

I am really struggling to get into the master league as I am finding the difference between the game play with each stadium and time of day too much.

Some games feel good, then the next few will be rubbish as it feels like the players are skating about. I also find that there is times when the comp controlled team is destined to score and no matter what, I am not going to score.

I played Dortmund away and had a tremendous game against them which ended 1-0 to them. They scored in the last few minutes and I missed loads of chances in the second half. The game speed was right and it felt quality. I had been showing ones of my mates the game play during it and he thought it looked incredibly realistic. I accidentally turned the ps3 of without saving, so had to play it again.

The second game was during the day and massively different. It was twice as fast and players seemed to skate about, there was 9 goals and there was simply no way I was going to win in, even though the score was 5-4' with me missing loads of chances again at the end, right on cue they get the winner with 2 minutes left. I reboot the ps3 and play the same game again, I get a night game for the match and it plays lie like the first game, in fact, it play exactly like the first game, they score with 3 minutes left after i hit the post 4 times in the last 30 minutes. Game ends up 1-0.

The next game is Milan away, I lead for most of the game 1-0 and it plays excellent, then with 20 minutes left my players start stumbling and not reacting to balls that are right at the feet. They score, I hit the post twice and in the last few minutes again, they score, I reboot and play the game again, same match again, same score 2-1 to them, own goal in the last few minutes.

I turn the ps3 off and leave it off.

Some stadiums play well at certain times day, others literally need the speed turned down from 0 to -2
 
Chimps, i found that with your file applied playing Exhibition was excellent in all conditions.. however when playing ML it seemed unrealistic and as you describe it"players skating around" it was annoying and incredibly difficult.. but when i took off yours and gerds files and replaced it with GTMs files ML became fantastically playable.. even if i am struggling. To perform in it.. thats just how i found it anyway :)

Edit- got my controller back earlier than i thought :D sohere are the results i havent posted with anything. I recall but its unlikely to be detailed!

Game 5: West Ham United 1-0 Middlesborough
A well fought game was decied early in the 2nd half by Carew or Cole

Game 6: Middlesborough 2-1 Portsmouth
I think this was a goal a piece for Long and Emnes either side of a Pompey goal

Game 7: Leeds 2-1 Middlesborough
Long got my goal in this loss at Elland Road

FA Cup Game 1: Middlesborough 3-2 Wigan Athletic
Long adds 2 more to his goal at Eland Road and bradley strikes to win thhis one against premiership opposition

Game 8: Middlesborough 3-2 Nottingham Forest
Long didnt score in this one.. Emnes 2 and Nimely 1 has Boro survived a late fight back

Game 9: Southhampton 2-1 Middlesborough

Game 10: Middlesborough 2-2 Blackpool

Game 11: Middlesborough 2-4 Bristol City
Maynard was in inspired form!

FA Cup game 2: Manchester City 5-1 Middlesborough
Real kainer, had no chance against the lineup they put out!

Game 12: Brighton and Hove Albion 3-2 Middlesborough

Game 13: Middlesborough 1-1 Burnley

A little woerrying to know im yet too keep a cleansheet and of my 10 points i have managed just 1 is from away i fear i may finish in the bottom 3 of the championship! :(

Wow. Game 14 aagainst Ipswich was..... interesting?
Long opened the scoring in the 8th minute and then doubled the advantage in the 11th to set me towards a first ever away win.. when the usually calm Arca crashed through the back of Chopra to earn a. Red in the 20th.. the resulting penalty - 2-1 Boro
5 minutes later McMahon crashed through Chopra again! This time a free-kick -2-2!and boro down to 9 men with 65 minutes left..
By half time it was 3-2 after another Ipswich goal!
3 more from Chopra (leaving him with 5 in this game) in the second half meant Boro looked ready to go home with a 6-2 loss.. but Long added a late consolation to get a hat-trick.. 6-3 defeat.. im stumped :/

Argh, for gods sake lost 5-0 against peterborough and again got 2 players sent off... it just feels like the game is playing against me all the time even my own players seem shit argh..

Got to the end of the year in 5 minute games.. things picked up.. ended up 17th.. and the chairmen (bizarrely) decided rome wasnt built in a day! So i got to keep the job!

My twams Technique stat is 93! Shimizu is 85 overall after just a season! AndEmnes up to 77! And Williams up to 84! But with bids coming in.. i might sell up and take the like 5-10m i can for him!

I have been going through grounds and trying them at day and night. The worst are the upgraded ones from last year.

There are some in the game that are oddly fast at night. I am going to make a list of the decent stadiums and use only them and if it still feels like it needs work, produce a master league only file.

It's so annoying as exhibition mode in some stadiums is perfect
 
Today i had a beautiful game of Football. I (west ham) against Newcastle away. My Coach told me Ranger is the player that could cause major problems before the match. But i ignored him and went on with my game.
Ranger really was causing all sorts of trouble for me with his movement. So i decided to Man Mark him with my ever reliable PAPA Dioup. But Ranger somehow scored n Dioup was nowhere near him. i was like WTF? then i checked gameplan, n newcastle had shifted Ranger's position, n i was marking Ba...:SHOCK:
I then set Demel and Bioup both to mark Ranger, and ranger was moving free again causing more problems.:CONFUSE:
I again checked gameplan, n notoced newcastle shifted Ranger on the wing.. Eventually I lost the match, n it was a great great tactical victory on New Castle's part.
Great game. PES really comes alive sometimes and HOW.:WORSHIP:

It is a Toshiba 32" Model is 32BV501B (according to booklet)
HDMI cable, came with the PS3 when i bought it
I use the Game presest (i think thats what you meant?)

Did some googling but it was nay helpful, Motion Blur is the only thing i can think up but i dunno.

Thanks for that. I would set the PS3 to 720p since that's what your TV's native resolution is ( I did some googling ;) ).

As Jimmy said, check out some of those options. I don't own a PS3 so I can't tell you what they are or what they do. The only other thing I could think of is that maybe it's a 50hz TV and doesn't handle motion that well. I'd like to think it's not that though. Can you watch a sports broadcast on the TV without blurring? Like does the ball on a football match blur?

Maybe try a different HDMI port or unplug it and plug it back in. Clutching at straws a bit lol.
 
After a break from this, got back into it last night with my Rodos team.

Managed to get 2 wins, 1 in the league 4-0 away win against Cantelspir (sp?) putting me top of the league and then a 2-1 win against Galatasary away in the cup.

I'll maybe look later at improving the level to the top rating.

I have been rather inactive in PES2012, but now I am back on it and starting a ML as Liverpool. I start my campaign away at Everton which should be a feisty start to the new season ;) Signed Di Maria from Real Madrid for £27,000,000 and the presentation feature is so impressive! Really looking forward to it :D I have the chairman's objective of claiming a UEFA Champions League spot. One weird thing though, is that I seem to have been entered into the Europa League, but in real life, Liverpool aren't in the UEFA Europa League in the first season, not that i'm complaining like, because I love European Nights on PES but it does seem a little weird...
 
Just a quick update, Boro are currently riding a 9-game unbeaten streak. Seven wins and two draws have seen them climb to 4th in the Championship, with promotion to the EPL now a real strong possibility. Injuries permitting. With all prospective targets turning their nose up at Boro's offers during the January Transfer Window, a young Nune Gomes was added to the ranks after he signed a professional contract and waved goodbye to the Boro Youth Academy.

Todays Match of the Day was a 2-2, come from behind draw against my old schoolboy side of Notts Forest. Boro went ahead after Emnes was put clear, he still had alot of work to do, but a shot-fake/drop of the shoulder bought him a yard, and a classy R2 toe-poke into the far corner send the Boro fans wild. A couple of sloppy defensive errors saw Forest gain the advantage, before Emnes made it two's a-piece. With another shot-fake/shoulder drop to take out two pressuring CB's, once on his favoured peg, another R2 placed shot into the bottom corner leveled the argument.

MacDonald nearly took all 3 points for Boro right at the death. On as a sub, MacDonald showed superb awareness after spotting the Forest keeper off his line. His instinctive L1 and Circle chipped effort beat the Forest No.1, but was denied by the woodwork.

I also love the Petrov sliced miss in the Highlights. I actually loved that type of rash slice as much as Emnes two great finishes. It was a classic textbook example of when sometimes, you just get everything wrong. :)

I have won my first 4 league games and I now sit 1st in the Premier League. I have a fairly easy UEFA Europa League group, and tbh looking at the teams in the competition, I should really win the whole thing.
First off, was an opening day game at home to Everton. I opened the scoring with Lucas pretty early on in the game, but after that I was very wasteful with my chances and a slip up at the back left Felliani with an easy to chance to equalise. The game looked to be heading for a draw but in the 90th minute, substitute Dirk Kuyt sealed an opening day win for me :) Then it was an away trip to Blackburn, which I won in commanding fashion, eventually winning the game 4-0. Suarez and Carroll both netted twice in the win. I got my second 4-0 victory of the season in the next game, at home against Aston Villa. Carroll netted twice, and Suarez and Lucas got one each to round of a comfortable win.
My last match I played was against Manchester United, at home. Berbatov opened the scoring for Manchester United in the 1st half, before a late Suarez first half goal ensured the teams went in level at the break. Gerrard then netted from the spot to put Liverpool 2-1 up, before United bounced straight back with an equaliser from substitute Hernandez. Two quick Carroll goals made it 4-2 to Liverpool, but Danny Welbeck ensured no-one was leaving Anfield early with an 88th minute goal to pull it back to 4-3. I was able to hold on however and claim my 4th straight win.

Next up is a UEFA Europa League group game against FC Twente.

Edit: I am currently in the process of downloading Daymos's NPower Championship OF so that I don't have those weird D2 teams being promoted into the Premier League, nor do I have them competing in the FA Cup.

can anyone tell me how my players that are transfer listed can get my players some team offer so I can earn money? its terrible, I cant get any player to be sold...

Even i am facing similar problems. i play using West Ham. i cant pay those high wages of some players who are not getting starts or who are not good enough. N I hate players who who put contract talks on hold. LOL.. is there any way to persuade them after they do that?
 
I can't be sure but I think having a high level scout will make it easier to sell players. I think part of the scout's role is to advertise your listed players to other clubs, kind of like an agent does in real life.
However, I think even the best scouts can't help sell really bad players. I've seen some people starting with the defaults and wondering why no-one will buy their worst defaults. It should be obvious that it's hard to sell bad players, because what team is actively looking for bad players?

Unfortunately, i was pretty rubbish and won only seven games, drew six and lost the rest. At the end of the season, the coach told me what cash i would be receiving. It was about £45,000 for finishing 17th in (Div 2) and £50,000 for wins or something similar. That's it. Meanwhile i had a wage bill of around £2m, which i was around £1m short.

So i played through the off season games and signed a cheap RMF, thinking i would have a transfer embargo if i go into the red. All of a sudden the coach is telling me to release players as we can't pay the wage bill (or they'll be automatically released). So i released a few (some left) but i realised i was way off the mark.

Meanwhile, i start the first match of the season and win 4-2, with Ribeiro grabbing a hat-trick. Great start, i thought. Immediately after the game, Ribeiro gets a red cross injury and is out for 15 weeks. But then the club goes and decimates my squad of about 30 players, down to 17 - all the top players went, Ettori, Palmieri, Maqualao, Ordaz, Camacho etc etc. On top of this, the chairman says i have the next game against Norwich to save my job.

So there we have it. I'm going to perhaps start a new ML with the finance option on, but i may see what i can do with this one. Technically i should be in Div 3 with this depleted squad. But what if i can turn it around? Perhaps if Konami took a bit more care in their flagship mode, i could. Why they have youth squad players with wages higher than the senior players i'll never know.

I have finally gotten ready to start my ML with a bit of time over the festive period, and plumped for leeds after spuring considerable interest from beira mar. my remit is simple, bring back the glory years to this great institution after the unedifiying fall from grace.

Must say i love the new touches such as being introduced to the players and media etc... Hopefully now that you can get sacked, they will finally implement moving clubs ala SWOS.....

So far, have a friendly with Panathanikos on the horizon, but have already spent a good few hrs scoring the transfer market particularly the new middle eastern national teams. Again maybe they will allow us to delve into the south american clubs next year.

Leeds have a reasonable squad, but look a bit light in terms of goalscring and creativity. My initial targets are a forward to comliment Becchio and an attacking midfielder. Have asked my scout to find out more about Soria of Qatar and Kweuke of Sparta Prague, and also think Escobar of Dynamo Kiev could be worth a flight to the ukraine. There is also a fella in the Bahrain team Jaycee who has african heritage that demands further inspection.
Between the sticks, an understdy to Lonergan is important and am keen on a young keeper at Lech Poznan, Bieszczad who is nearly 2m tall.

So, following on from my above post, i decided to play the game against Norwich, which according to my chairman, was a 'must win' or i get sacked, game. (I only managed 6 wins in the previous season).

So i took my new-look, 17 man squad into battle. Heeders was playing up front with an injury. I took a 1-0 lead in the first half, only for Norwich to equalise 15 mins into the second half. I took the lead once more, but again, Norwich equalised in the 86th minute and it seemed like my fate was sealed. However, in the 90th minute, i grabbed the winner to make it 3-2. My job was safe, for now...

Amazingly, i went on to win the following two games. I've since also drawn two more and i remain unbeaten at the top of the Division 2 table after six games.
I'm wondering though if this is a futile exercise, as i only have £3,000 in the bank (and i need almost a million to cover wages). I'm not sure how much you get for promotion (premature talk) but hopefully it would sustain me. I'm a bit annoyed that i didn't have the club management option switched on for this ML, as it has become enjoyable, now that i'm fighting with the bare bones of a squad and still surviving.
 
so whats the most balanced settings to begin with? (less momentum too)
0 pass assistance, 15 mins
difficulty?
gamespeed?

(beside gameplay patches and maybe global stats editing and kitserver off course)
