Hi guys. I don't have a creative soundcard, so I can't install Alchemy (already tried and it's impossible). How can I fix the crowd sounds?

I can't get the first touch right! Every time I try to put the ball ahead at first touch holding R1+direction, as in previous games, but players just hold the ball, then take another second to start running again.

great, one thing I noticed clearly from the demo is that this is a PES game for passing lovers! I could attack with passings I've never been able to do before.... like diagonal long lob pass with precision.....
defense system is harder and TBH I'm not a master of it...
dribbling response is better, running has lesser feel of rail.
but the rest is meh.... barely noticeable differences from 2010.

What I do like about PES2011
- Manual passing. Meaning, we can control the speed and need to adapt quickly. You need to be aware and understand good enough of your player. If you pass slow, then better the receiver run towards the ball. If you pass with pace, then you can make the receiver twist and turn.
- Player abilities. From what I can see, player like Xavi can pass accurately even he is passing to a 90 degree angle he is facing. Unlike Busquet, who will put the ball else where and you will start swearing.
- Dribbling. Look smoother than 2010
- Positioning. The like of Messi will try to run behind the last defender.
- Body contact. Love it. I believe it has something to do with Body Balance attributes. I can see messi been nudge and fall by Bommel.
What I dislike:-
- GK. Still sucks. COM score from FK, where my GK is already in the line of shot. Still, he missed it.
- AI. When I perform counter attacking, there is some player still walking instead of running forward.
- Tackling. Still, there is no way to diffrentiate a tackle to a ball, or a tackle to block a cross/shot.
- Aerial battle. There should be able to make 3-4 players battle for aerial ball, instead of only 2. Or atleast making another player blocking opposition from getting the ball.
- First touch. Seems like if you throw in, and want to send back to defender, you just cant!

If you have the PES2011 DEMO in the C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) folder, in addition, it's normal because those folders are "locked" by UAC and only ad admin can write there.
Long stiro short: I really shouldn't suggest you this, but.. Run the tweaker as administrator and probably you will be fine
If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, it might be the User Account Control - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Windows_7_UAC.png" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/51/Windows_7_UAC.png/310px-Windows_7_UAC.png"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/5/51/Windows_7_UAC.png/310px-Windows_7_UAC.png that blocks it. just played FIFA 11 demo, PES owns the competition IMO. FIFA 11 is still behind.
Running animations are horrible, but passing and shooting animations are sometimes better than PES. games speed is definitely more balanced than PES and you can more realistically run into space while in PES most of the times you're taken out by far behind defenders. I still have mixed feelings about PES running mechanism, it's real and its not at the same time.
Anyway, I'm still happy because it's really improved and is stepping into the right direction again. this is another PES year for me.

I'm sure it's been asked somewhere but can't find it in this thread - has anyone played this and the console versions? Any differences (other than the tweak tool of course)
Very impressed from my one match. First time I've been thouroughly outplayed by the CPU in a football game in years, and didn't feel cheap or cheated.

Yeah, It is strange how this game is convincing even if it has some of the old niggles. When defenders took me out like MJ-MOHSEN says in previous games I used to get angry, now I don't.

Taking penalties is exactly the same as in pes 2010. the longer you hold down the shoot button the higher the ball goes. and to stick it in the corner you need to press the direction halfway through the run up. if you do it earlier it will go wide

Would anyone like to comment of the game speed between versions? PC has only 0,+1,+2 when PS3 has also -1,-2. But I wonder if they are calibrated

I find 0 speed on PC quite slow enough. The running speed is okay @ 0. The problem seems that response time is tied to animations which is tied to speed, so players also turn and dispose of the ball slower on 0 speed. I don't like that at all.

Thanks for that info hlinskin. That would make sense to me. I remember someone saying on PS3 +2 speed was about the same as PES2010 speed. To me PC PES2011 at +2 is still not quite PES2010 speed. To me it makes sense that if Konami reduce speed options from five to three, they would recalibrate the PC ones to take middle ground.

GK'S still Awful! very Disappointing =\
i expected for more in this part, more animations, scored very easy and stupid goals... Top Player isn't so hard like i think it's should be..
BTW, it's time for new celebrations goals, 3-4 years is the same.

Well have now played a few games of PES11 on the PC and I am liking the new version. It flows very nicely and like alot of people have said the passing feels great. There are a few little niggles like in any game, but for me the main one is the ref blows up for every contact and never plays advantage? This really bugs me

my pc demo is a little choppy too. Then again, my fan is blazing like a mofo, so it might be just that.
My specs are pretty good, i have a nvidea 9600m gt, but after a few mins the fan starts to blaze.
Anyone know of a way to stop this? Maybe create some more space on my harddrive?

Slowly getting to like the game more, I'm sure once I've mastered dribbling and defending I'll love it. Could do with a tutorial for those two things, anyone have any tips?
The tactics on this are brilliant, every tweak has a noticeable effect. I'm having a great time trying to come up with a tactic to stop Barca on Top player. Didn't start too well losing 3-1, then 3-0 with different tactics. Then got things completely wrong and lost 5-0. Most recent game went completely all-out defence 5-4-1, deep defence, low attacking support etc and hung on for a 0-0. Barca had chances but less than previous games. I had one great chance and one decent chance to nick it. Edge of the seat stuff and most satisfying 0-0 I've ever had. The importance of getting tactics spot-on is going to be great in ML.

I think that's great how you change your tactics to play Barca. It's realistic, and let's face it, in this game, it needs to be done. Haha.

Couple of questions...
1. Is there anyway to save the in-game settings? Bit fed up of setting it all up every time I want a quick game. (Via some sort of mod maybe?)
2. I play on a TV at (1360x768) on the wide cam and there are jagged edges on the players, due to a lack of anti-aliasing. Doesn't seem to be so much of an issue on the Xbox version and I use VGA for that also (at 1360x768). Is this the same for everyone else and if so, is there anyway to fix it?
I've tried using the catalyst control center to override it, but that seems to make it worse, as it did in PES2010.

hmm depending on my resolution on some settings the gameplay is REALLY fast! It runs great without too many issues unless i crack up the resolution!

Well i have to say both Fifa and PES are good football games this year! I can't really decide...The atmosphere in PES kinda sux if you shoot a goal u can't really hear the crowd exploding how it should be...i also think the animations are much smoother in Fifa. On the other hand Fifa does not run so smoothly @ all although i should have a decent pc but pes does. And as an editor i have to say PES is way easier to edit! Hmmm i dunno i just can't decide...
