I'm finding the restrictive feeling from initial player touch to requested movement pretty offputting I have to say. I had hoped they'd gotten rid of the standing in mud feeling but it appears even the top rated players suffer from it. :(

Also not liking the absolute uselessness of R1, even in a wide open situation. Players dont slow down that much to touch the ball the first time!

There's the two bad things that are grating me right now, apart from that I'm liking the passing, crossing and heading (such a joy compared to the other offering). Also the fact there's actually an AI thats somewhat different from game to game depending on team style and abilities and also the return of differing time periods in games being obviously pronounced, ie if you're trailing and time is running out, or if you're leading and clinging onto that lead. Scored a lovely last minute (consolation) goal with Van Der Sar from a corner from such a game where I piled on pressure but couldn't break down the defence until the last minute.
 
Tim Cahill at 1.7. Honestly the guy is an animal with his free roaming card and gets the headers in!!
 
Are you guys genuinely telling me that not one of you has had a problem where the game refuses to let you log in to MLO? I've put my PS3 in a bloody DMZ now, and that still doesn't fix it. They put on two or three competitions a day for division 5 types and make sure you have something like 30 seconds before it's booked out. My housemate is out so I can properly go for it in a competition, I'm all set to go after playing some games earlier in the day and seeing there wasn't a competition for 3 hours. And then I'm back to square fucking one. 'An Error Has Occurred'. Oh, has it? Why not be a bit more candid and say 'We fucked up'? At least then you wouldn't be implying that I, sat there, doing nothing differently to 3 hours ago, am responsible for the error when I've done everything in my power to make sure the game is allowed to work.

So angry. It's basic. I want to play the game, please, Konami. Christ.

You power up the shot, and then after you release the shot button (but before the player strikes the ball), tap R2.

It's not like the FIFA finesse shot where you hold the button :TU:.
 
Jesus Christ.

I have just scored probably the best goal I have ever scored on any football game, EVER. Headed out from a corner and a first time volley that goes like an absolute rocket straight into the top corner, keeper left to just watch it fly past (probably missed it anyway it went so quick)

Wow. I now love Sao Paolo midfielder Rodrigo Souto. Incredible.
 
So it's not just me Pepper? Can you actually get into MLO? Or did you mean something else?

I'm in MLO right now but it's such agony. I had 10 minutes to go before the coach mode ran out so, knowing I couldn't squeeze a game in, decided to look up the CBs mentioned earlier. Then tried to log back in knowing I had 3 or 4 mins to spare. Except it wouldn't load the fricking competition list!!

Just managed to get back in, with 20 seconds to spare. Mental.

That's what he does for my goal, although he had little other choice.

Uploading now from my phone, not the greatest quality but this goal deserves it. May get a few more views up too at some point.

I thought it was the well known competitor that used such cheap tactics to artificially heighten tension?
 
Ok here it is. Sorry for lack of quality and the fact that is all the game highlights but it was just easier. Goal I went a bit crazy over is at about a minute in, but you have to understand I don't score many awesome goals so this felt good especially as I have been critical of the shooting. Everything here though just felt...right.

Very Nice. Looks like the second Icelandic goal against the Scots tonight at U21 level as well. Keeper given no chance. :)
 
this game look so good I actualy tough it was a footage from a real football match...the pace and the players look so real its unbelievable...that rocket looked really good with the ball moving at the right pace...nice stuff =p
 
played a few matches with russia with their stock formation just exchanged dzagoev in for the starting AMF and put kolodin beside ignatche..? and its amazing how denisov who is a CMF with anchor man card :CONFUSE: makes the run forward and scores if arshavin is on the left wing and pavlych.. is hanging deeper
like he does sometimes he runs a lot in real life

Got the game last night. Fantstic game. I suck at dipping freekicks though. I used to be immense at them. People say the period of getting used to PES after FIFA is huge but I've always played FIFA with PES controls (new alternative in fifa) lol. It's like a never really left haha. I love crossing on manual (L2). Anything can happen!

What does R1 do? What's everyone harping about that button for? (isn't it just sprint?)

Oh and Van Der Vaart is single handedly propping me up this season for spurs. He's IMMENSE. My goodness. Him and Modric are quality (he gets the goals though).

I hit an absolute beaut off the bar with VdV last night. I'll upload it when I get a new cam though. Needs a better resolution to do it justice.

Its the CPU vs CPU with your tactics, its like FM.

I finally got into a competition tonight (coach mode) but didn't make through to the knockout stages.

I'm getting the an error has occurred message too, sometimes it will kick me back to the MLO menu, other times to the main menu and sometimes it continues and the match takes place regardless.

I have found an absolute hidden treasure, in fact I have 3 great MLO buys. And cheap.

You need to buy a French DMF called Raineau. He is absolutey outstanding in either a DMF role or SB, he is also left footed with the Passer Player Card. He is quick, agile, beautiful first touch can pass for fun long or short and is lovely to control. All for £700,000.


Also a SMF called Joselito Vaca from Bolivia, fantastic player for the same price. It seems like the Name Search function doesn't work so best finding through their respective countries.

I just scored a goal online beating 5 players with Arshavin. Just close dribbling! Thast was all. looked good as well!

But i was so pissed i drew the game 2-2 (ANOTHER FUCKING GAME WERE I DOMINATE AND CAN'T GET THAT DECISIVE GOAL!) I didn't save it! :RANT:

Online is great just the shooting is really getting to me! Almost impossible to score sometimes!

i beat 2-3 players using ashavin and his close dribbling to score too
