PES 2011 Discussion thread

Seriously, the line between enjoyment and not wanting to pay for the game is a speed option? It's like slowing down a DVD or speeding it up...
 
Hey guys, in the PS3 version if you have a PES 2010 Option File there is an option to import the kits and team names etc into PES 2011 when you first load it. I just wondered if anybody knows if this option is in the Xbox 360 version too?

It's not exactly specific to the player, I've nearly done it with Higuain in the demo :P

I have never, NEVER played with Barcelona. Not in PES10, not on 11 demo despite there only being 4 teams available. I have some principles that I will not compromise.

:LMAO: I mean there actually a new :kitserver: tool out that will be developed for PES 2011 on PC, like EVERY year you an slow the game down, not only that, tweak you PC's resolution settings aswell. Frame skipping?

The lightings better on the ps3 though and of course you have a gamepad thats made for pes which imo is better suited for football games as i find the sticks to stiff on the xbox360 for pes as i like a little bit more play in there movement.

Its horses for courses everyones different its just what you prefer,both have there pros and cons ie ease and flexibility of installing custom soundtracks and option files,although the xbox360 has become much better in this regard.

Thanks! I have noticed the lighting is richer in the PS3 version. Why is that?

Pitch texture looks much more crisp and real as well.

Well it's taken a rather long time but hooray! A PES game to be proud of.

Played a lot of the demo now and the flow of the game really is engrossing. For the first time in quite a long while I swore at the telly at a rather nice goal I scored - where Messi launched one into the top corner, just clipping the underside of the bar to equalise in stoppage time.

It's nice to actually play the game rather than play around it - I'm really looking forward to release day now.

Played my 1st Libertadores fixture, I'm Sao Paolo vs Estudiantes Tecos. First leg ended 1-0 home. Not much to talk about here. They gave me too much time on the ball. They never were committed, giving away only 2 fouls. Just sat back to defend with the odd counter. They had no strategy and were dependent on some of their skillful players, if any. Out of 20+ shots on goal I managed to score 1 :LOL:

2nd leg, major difference. More commitment, more fouls, they had a strategy and it was pretty obvious they wanted me out. Still won 2-0 though.

Next up, Alianza Lima.

@ Niero it's your PC settings i think, I'm sure!

My game dosen't play fast. it's smooth alright and my computer is more than equipped for the game! Just tinker with them!

You need to make your computer work just a tad! If you playing on a rather safe setting i think your computer just over optimized the game and speeds it up.

IF not wait for the 'MegaLink' patch to have speed settings.

Megalink is the new kitserver, if juce dosen't want to do it, its his decision. Shame though he's one of the many so disappointed with PES on this gen he won't give this a try!
It really is just the reputation of PES on this gen putting people off. I think everyone has forgotten even on the glory days on the PS2, those games too time to love. I mean i remember first seeing PES 4 and i really hated that game, especially the weird Mr blobby like running animations, but i gave it time to see it was a very good game!

ATM it works but it's not 100% stable so i could cause your game to CTD here and there (only happened to me while browsing ML, not in a match thankfully :) )

Also sncover, stop playing on professional and switch to top player.. It's quite literally a different game :SHOCK: I'm getting destroyed! No necessary thrashed 5, 6-0 but just dominated by better teams! More fouls, much more and more aggression, intensity!

It's atm the best football game ever made but it needs more testing from me to really ram this statement home! But this game really has brought football games to a new level!

Also animations seem to get better and better the more you play :CONFUSE: I dunno, I'm seeing players point to where they want the ball and Amauri even point to you where to run, identifying the space!

I actually quite shocked just how much the game grew on me just today!

Interesting... I thought the 360 version of the demo looked better.

Hopefully there'll be some screen comparisons done because I still haven't decided which version to get. It's my understanding that OFs are now easy to use on the 360, so I wonder what else other than graphics might be different between the two versions?
 
Differences are pretty minimal I guess. Take into consideration your friends if you're going to play online and which pad you prefer.
 
I haven't played PES since 08 and I just read elsewhere that we no longer can create our own team for ML, is this true?

Certainly no gamebreaker but a shame nonetheless - is there any known work around? Like taking over a generic team and editing kits etc?

Anyone know the reason it was removed?

Juventus is a good side, and if I play against Chievo, more often than not i should win the posession and tempo battle.

If i play against Barca on the top level, I shoudln\t dominate posession. I'm no wonder gamer I can assure you, if I had to rate myself I am above average but no maradona on the sticks.

In the old PES games, it was veryyyy hard to dominate posession, this year it just seems too easy.

I don't know if it's just me and my methodical playing style....but not so good in terms of realism for me.

I never checked possession stats last night but in these two matches I'll no doubt have got around 35-45%.

The 6th difficulty level in WE is the same as the 5th in PES, according to old man Murphy on Twitter.

I already have an English version of the game, I must say that they ve done good job this year, its very solid football title but this game simply needs new engine :-), but I am satisfied customer first time in 4 years.
