PES 2011 Discussion thread

Do you need a modded/chipped console to apply Option Files or patch the Xbox 360 version of the game?

Can't seem to find a definitive guide but get the impression it's a lot more complex than the PS3 or PC versions when it comes to editing.

No. Check the PESgaming forums about xbox360 option files.

I am from Australia too.

The Konami distributor for Australia has decided to delay the release date of PES from the 7th Oct to the 14th. That is why I decided to tryout Shopto. I bought mine yesterday morning and the status changed to 'shipped' on the same day (at night). Due to strong AUS dollar, I get the game way cheaper than buying it from the local store (30 dollars difference)

Well I am still wondering how long will it take to deliver it to my door step. I hope no longer than the 14 Oct.
 
the more I played the more I noticed the annual blatant annoying CPU cheating, how come my defender running backwards to give my opposition striker more space instead of closing him down, I pressed :square: & :x: already, not mention that I couldn't switched to that defender earlier than I wanted it....

the same old shit.....:RANT::BRICK:

You press :x: plus the left stick towards the defender to pressure him!

FAIL!

anyway CPU cheats in every football game, always on top play! The technology for the CPU to beat you 100% fairly isn't there yet :)

CPU do cheat on this game but it's easily bearable since the game is balanced so well :) . they don't totally in balance the game so whats why it's pretty good in the game :) .

DID you play FIFA 07 Ps2, that had no cheating AI whatsoever. Which is why it was stupidly easy on legendary even, people winning 8-0 every match :CONFUSE:

sorry to inform you but he dosen't, I think there is a slight possibility Konami will add it in a DLC. They added loads of faces in DLC's like Vermaelen, Gibbs, Lisandro last year!

Transfer patch/DLC should come around next week i think.
 
I think they will, it's still a guess but he, Smalling and De Laet are the only United players without a face at United.

I reckon Him and Smalling will get face updates, along with Wilshiere

Got another question lol, if any of you guys have played the BAL mode yet... I read that they removed the training match and now 6 teams come in for you at the start, I'm just wondering if they are the same 6 everytime or random or maybe even depended on your position/stats... One of the things I loved about BAL in PES10 was that you don't start off the way you do in FIFA 10/11 (as in you pick the team) - I'm hoping they aren't the same 6 everytime.
 
And this 4 vs 4 is like a joke ! You can't play Room Match 4 vs 4 or Legends .. just some quick match, frendly , with random players.

Hahaha, also Mascherano seems to have invisible macarenas.

For fellow Spurs fans, be excited. Wicked Aaron Lennon'blud is not only modelled brilliantly when you look through the edit mode, but he seems very pained in the face in-match, much like a man who's downed a box of Imodium after a chilli hot-dog.

I have to disagree with you on this mate. I only play on Top Player, and I never, ever feel like I'm being cheated, it would massively put me off PES if I thought this was the case. I have won League Titles, won Cup Finals with the last kick of the game. I have also lost in the same manner. No problem, it's football, thats how it is. It's like Bayern saying Man Utd cheated in the CL Cup Final with those goals by Teddy and Solksjaer. Or Milan crying cheat when Liverpool made their comeback. I dont believe it for a second. Top Player Ai is much more organised and composed than any other difficulty level. I have no issues. Win like a man, lose like a man.
 
I need to play this, I have minimal problems with player changing.
I suspect people are spamming the speed button and not backing up correctly also, you need to pull your DMFs back as much as possible. The CPU is deadly on counter attacks.

Absolutley, this reminds me of a time (God this is embarrasing) i think it was either pes6 or pes 2008 i played a guy called something like Elk or could of been Elfie :CONFUSE: anyway to cut a long story short i got massively beat up 10-0 :CONFUSE:.

Oh the pain goal after goal, i couldnt get the ball off him and he just made me look stupid (although these days i am more used to that, lol). So hopefully this will never happen to any of you lot but if it does, take it like a man, because believe me it does take some balls to get hammered and take it on the chin and not disconnect. :SMUG:

i have to admit, tho this game plays great.. i can't stand the fact they removed L1/R2 stepovers/scissors..
i haven't seen so much complaints about this from u guys.. actually none on this forum..
didn't anyone use it in the 'older' pes games?
any thoughts about this?

i like that the shotfeint has its purpose again and not be overpowered like it was on ps2/pes2008/2009 (eventho i abused the shit out of it.. esp vs 24/7 X pressuring opponents)

10-0? that's nothing.

I was up 17-0 vs someone on FIFA 09 before they finally backed out in the 84th minute, I was going to score more aswell!

FC Kirkcaldy was the name of my Ultimate Team (my hometown), my team wasn't even overpowered either, all scottish players rofl.

Yes, i noticed this on the demo. I like to the odd step over, every now and then, so i did use it. I think the cross feint is different too now? (on xbox) I tried the classic way of doing it and there wasn't really a feint animation. I wonder if it's now a feint you have to perform in a different way?

I've edited one of the fantasy teams in PES-League (kits and emblem) and took it in the MLO. Today I had a match against someone who took a standard team (Real Madrid) with standard kits etc.

Before the match, when you have the option to change colours of the kits I changed mine to Black (my second color)because he has the Real Madrid white. Right after this he changed to black to. So I changed to white (my first color). Short time after this he also changed to white, so I went to black again and so on...
It ended with the preparation time being over and I had to play against him (having white kits) and me having white kits, too.
I lost the game (no surprise) because I can't hardly see my players (all 20 players on the pitch are dressed in pure white) and he don't see my white kits but assumingly another colour because he played really well.

This is the 3. time this happen to me in about 30 games. So what is the cool thing about having edited kits, if my opponent can't see them?

P.S. Sorry for my english, I hope it's clear what I mean.

You're right, my suggestion is to edit teams followed as far as possible using their predefined colors or at least closely resemble the original ones ... You must not edit a team having like first jersey light colors with dark colors and vice versa ... Then about the issue that we can only see the edited kits ourselves is good for me, in this way everyone is free to use the settings that he prefers .. for istance I only changed the logos of the English teams and I changed only the uniforms of liverpool and chelsea as in the editmode there are adidas templates(I didn't touch their default colors) , the rest I left as they are...
 
Having played the full game for a second (and very long) consecutive night, i still find it very good.

I have one main issue: the illogical player switching. An example. In my Coppa Libertadores campaign with Newell's Old Boys i play the off side trap. Not that i'm such an adept of the off-side trap, but a very interesting side effect is the fact that your defenders rush forward and that is very convenient if you wanne counter. Yesterday my opponents there was a loose ball when my defenders rushed forward. One of them was really rushing forward towards the ball and it seemed an ideal opportunity to change player...the computer picked another player that was further from the ball (and also illogically far from the player i had in control just before the switch). The result was a counter attack from my opponents and very nearly a goal. Is it the game or am i doing something wrong.

Besides that, every match is a chess game where you slowly search a gap in the defense of your opponent team. Great to play.

Of course there is the usual sloppyness of Konami which gives a very unprofessional image.
Two examples:

The squads of the national teams: the people at Konami never saw the world cup judged by the players in the German national squad. Wiese in goal, no Muller, no Khedira, no Boateng...In the Belgium national squad there is a player i've never heard of. He is maybe a professional football player, but he defintely never was called up for our national team. On the other hand players like Vertonghen, Lukaku and Alderweireld are not even in the sqaud.

And why the hell Villa was in Barcelona's sqaud in the demo and in the Valencia squad in the full game? That is typical Konami.

Brilliant game, but some very sloppy aspects.
