PES 2011 Discussion thread

The three different adboards don't take much sussing out, each level of stand has its own option anyway ;)

Each level can have different fences as well, for example.

he was saying that you couldnt do 3 seperate addboards that 1 addboard usually covered up the whole stadium,he must have put the fences over the addboards, have you made different types of stadiums, could you do a stadium say like an italian stadium with a running track and bowl design?

Nah, you can have a different image for each section, but that image stretches across that whole boarding I think.

I haven't messed with the stadiums much, I'll fire PES up now and have a look at it for you.

Edit: Annoying that you have to copy an image to your HDD to import it and not just import from your USB stick.

@ Chimps-with-quiffs can u reupload your pes 2009 option file plz :)

i brought it for 2 pound to keep me and my flatmates occupied until PES 2011

I did a search on my pc and found a lot of files made around the end of 2008, which I presume are the ones for 2009. I have them from PC and PS3. I presume its PS3 your after?

I have uploaded 3 of them. I think the one called Gameplay Edit 05 is the latest one, so probably the one I used. Hopefully you don't need the exact version of the program the file was made on, to run it. I know konami sent out updates after I made this. I think it was made for v1.05? I am not sure if you can download them separately on line

I wish there were 2 more options in the stadium editor, these are: Being able to turn off some of the stands (I can't make Braga stadium because I can't turn off the two side stands); and selecting the stadium location (and therefore, the announcer language).

i think its possible, somebody said that stadiums come as their own downloaded file so if there are many different types of stadiums made the makers could just upload them to the web and other people could then download them,it would be great to pick and choose what stadiums you wanted from the different stadium makers online

do you have the full game mate?

Not yet

My bad, not each level of board can be edited. You can change the image for the adboard going across the roof stand, that classes as one, and then the other boards running along the seating areas count as another element. Each end of the ground can have different adboards.

You can't create a continuous bowl, no :( Most of the 5 types are your usual rectangular stand that are probably typical of English grounds and the other stand is pretty much your expected stand but the roof is much higher and in an arc. The side stands don't even have arched roofing, all are straight. No curve to any of the stands. There's no way to link the stands together to create a continuous section.

EDIT: WAIT! Interesting! It looks like the options given for stands depend on what you have set in the other stands. The only ones I seemed to get were rectangular but one of the stands was like the bowl you posted. So I chose that, went to the other stands to see if I could find the best fit and now there's a stand where the seats are curved around to meet the other stand! :BOP:

Gimme a minute and I'll try and get that stadium created, a basic one of course.

Gracias Amigo :BYE:

Stadium is done, looks pretty good I think :)

Will take a photo of the stadium on the selection screen...

For anyone who has the full game, are off the ball runs and movement improved at all?

I can't stomach the demo anymore, it's frustrating being forced to play a 1-2 every time you want a striker to run into space. It's impossible to play any sort of counter attacking or direct style of football as you CF will just hover about a yard infront of their defensive line.

Ruining the game for me at the moment, just kills any momentum.

Maybe a bit too much blue but you get the idea :) Not sure why the track is blue, I thought I set it to grey but nevermind.

Excuse me while I rudely interrupt the love fest:

holy shite the level of AI rubberbanding is ridiculous! Damn it, the demo code was better than this, why did they have to change the AI for the worse. In the demo I felt that most of the errors (except for switching glitches) were mine. Now I'm back to that good old PES feeling of the AI cheating.

I'm on PC by the way.

Hmm there is one big but about less fouls; a lot less injuries to your players on Master League.. kinda silly losing your best man because of a training injury instead of out in the pitch.. but oh well.

Why don't you change your strategy? I tried going Netherlands (me) vs Spain in the full game and failed miserably with the standard tactics of that team.

Thanks for trying to help mate. The problem for me isn't tactics and such, it's the level of handicaps given to the CPU's team. They are generally faster (thx to rubberbanding), stronger, and more spatially aware.

Unofficial TrailerWhen I put this together, the game felt fair. Tough but fair. Now it feels tough AND cheap! CPU defenders had to stick their foot out to gain possession. Now they just rubberband to you, stick to your heels like glue and wait for the inevitable geometry clash that dispossesses you. This is a very cheap way of preventing all of the fouls that ppl complained about. Basically, most of the time I lose possession, the CPU never even committed to a single tackle.
When I have time I'll make a video of the problems, although I suspect most on this board will ignore it

Yeah I agree with the above two posts. I posted this in the PC section. I think Konami increased the body balance to compensate for the large number of niggly fouls that were given. I'm not sure if this was the only way to do it, but I'd much prefer the tackling dynamics of the demo to this.

Wow amazing job on the trailer, Konami should be ashamed. Anyway, from what little I played on the full game I did notice that dribbling became less effective essentially, since taking your player off balance was left unpunished and the refereeing was dodgy at best.

I wonder if anyone at WENB has noticed.

I just played a few games of the full version. I've got mixed feelings really. On the one hand, the game feels much smoother. On the other, the game feels too fast now. Why did Konami have to increase the speed?? I loved everything about the demo except the number of niggly fouls and the few bugs, but the pace of the game was just perfect at 0. Even the so-called "clunky" feel of the demo I had liked. Now the game is just a bit too fast on 0 for the big teams.

One funny thing I noticed though, on certain stadiums the game appears to be slower and on others faster. For example, in Konami stadium the game is really fast when I use a team like Manchester United. But at Old Trafford, it feels a bit slower.

Playing with Copa teams on 0 though, is heavenly. The pace of the game is just right. If only the PC version had -1 and -2, it would be almost perfect.

Also, the tackling is so much easier than before. You don't have to have much skill or really get your timing right that much anymore. You can just hold A and ur left stick and you can get the ball.

I just don't understand why Konami had to increase the speed and make tackling easier. They had a very good thing going with the demo and they just had to get rid of a few bugs and tone down the fouls. Maybe making the body balance higher was their way of toning down the fouls or something. However, I really miss the pace of the game in the demo.

I agree that it does feel a lot smoother and more responsive, but I also prefer the slow, methodical pace of the demo. It allowed a more efficient passing game, and a feeling of achievement when you caught someone off balance.

In the trailer, 00:55-00:58, when Rio collects the air ball, notice that the CPU tried to commit to 2 separate tackles to gain possession. Also @ 1:22-1:25, see how that looks completely natural? The CPU was bound by the same rules as the player and as a result of a poorly timed challenge, he was left in the dust.

Sadly, the very things I loved most about the demo (and showcased in the video) are nigh on impossible now. I don't want to start sounding whiny, so i'll end my complaints. But I have to say, Konami...I am disappoint.

pes2011 is like counter strike, which prides itself on its weapons ballistics, realism and weapon recoil rates much

while the rest of the post was sensible, I can't help but :LOL::LOL: to that line because it is :FAIL:

counter strike with weapon ballistics, realism and recoil? try Red Orchestra, the original Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault series on PC.
