Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA
i have no interest in this fifa/pes argument as i take no credit for producing either game (have played pes since pes1 ps2 simply cos it was better) but i think its clear to any neutral observer that nets are fully and better animated in FIFA and pitch size is probably about right.
BUt i think any sensible person will focus on one thing and that's gameplay. Here, FIFA outstrips any next gen PES, and trumps the old next gen as far as 'feel' animations etc, but still not yet AI (i'm looking at you pes3 and pes5 you little devils)
i've always loved pes, it's more than a game to me because i spend so much time re-enacting the sport i love so much. BUT, like many others, we can see that the next gen versions are such poorly shoehorned ps2 games, that we cannot sensibly play them.
I'm playing FIFA, not pretending it hits those 'relative' highs of pes3/5 but enjoying it nevertheless, and probably buying the ps2 version for my pes fix (this version was outsourced for development and all reports are that it feels remarkably fresh - people stop ignoring it)!
BUt what always confuses me is this - what on earth do people get out of maintaining a stubborn defence of a game, any game, when they could simply be playing it? Especially when focusing on such incidental parts of the game. It's like insisting smash court is better than virtua and top spin because the racket string spacing is more accurate.
I Find PES2009 better than FIFA09
Everybody talk about FIFA wonderful animations...But anybody noticed the weird running style of FIFA09: players with the elbow too high ,like a duck :-D...at least in PES2009 the arms are in the right position...Anyway I repeat to all FIFA fanboys " WHY DON'T WE TALK ABOUT PLAYERS MODEL, NETS ANIMATION, FIELD PROPORTIONS, SHIRT REALIZATION ?
