Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Guys, cut the FIFA/PES fanboy shit here once and for all, otherwise it's gonna rain bans. Talk about PES and PES only in this thread! This is the very last warning for all of you!

i totally agree dat every1 should stick to topic..

coz i do get tired of visiting this site with the amount of shit people chat..

but banning people is a little over the top isnt it lol..

i quite like the PES 2009 and cant wait to get my hands on it!

PEACE!

Damn, that video is SICK. Very good skills and the back heel goal... OMFG :APPLAUD:

Badgerman, check at 4:03... for sure you will LOVE that goal... :APPLAUD:

About Seabass interview:

Seabass said:
Yes I do think it will influence people to an extent. I was really very happy when we acquired the Champions League license but frankly I originally thought we would never be able to acquire this license when we tried to go after it. As I said I'm very happy but at the same time I also have to say I believe we're still not completely there with all the licenses and leagues we need, for example with your countries' teams. When the day comes when we have the Premiership and Bundisliga I think I'll be even more happy then.

I completely agree with last part of Bundesliga and Premier League. I hope so... someday.

This interview was good since the questions were really interesting, specially that one about FIFA's engine. Very good wrok from the interviewer. The last one we read a couple of weeks ago was a complete shame, specially because the questions.

That was all sorts of awesome.

Infact that video was pretty god damned brilliant all round. Give that man some positive thoughts because gosh darn, that was nifty.

The double goal thing was the stuff of dreams as well. I'm pretty stoked as well that both games are focusing on getting realistic physics instead of pointless aesthetics like untucked shirts.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

That was a decent video, it shows that 09 has that thing the old games have had in the fact that most goals seem different in some way, but the defenders did seem a bit useless.

That goal where it hit the bar seemed a little weird though, it hit the bar and seemed to get topspin, I don't see how that would be physically possible? I have seen goals where the ball hits the bar, goes over the line and comes back but never hit the bar, come back in to play, then spin forward into the goal.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

It depends on how you hit it usually, I've seen it do both depending on how you catch it in terms of inside/outside of the foot and if you chop down on it.

It's a bit difficult to describe in words but it is possible.

If the ball is hit with no spin then it should bounce away from the goal but who knoes.

Yeah, that video was huge. Praises to the author!

And about the last paragraph, I agree 100%.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

neat vid. Really liked the last gasp goal line clearances, that was class, in PES it looks as dramatic as in real life.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Listen to yourself, no wonder Konami dont try anymore with mugs like you defending them. Just wondering, what should I do if I dont like the graphics, turn the screen off and just listen to the sound !!!!

simply said that poor sound hardly makes the game "unplayable" mate. The demo doesnt even have the full sound anyway (no commentary)

now crawl back to your Liverpool council house!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Exactly, we should have had that video before, that would have saved a lot of discussions... however.... no, knowing Evo-web vistors... :D
Take Rob92 for instance, even with this great movie he managed to find something negative... This video was about the great PES-gameplay beeing back Rob,not about the details, but the overall picture!

Great gameplay? The defenders were standing still or running away from the ball half the time :II That means that cheap goals will be scored all over the place, and if that sort of AI is used in BAL, then it would just be too easy. That means that yet again the only decent mode in PES would be online, but as we all know, Konami cannot set up stable online servers...

I don't look for negative things, but when they stand out like a lot of the faults with PES do, they don't need to be looked for as they just hit you in the face.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

You can't say from this movie on which level this was, so a good judgement on the defence was not possible. Also most of the goals ( either FIFA or PES ) you see often errors from the defense. Hey, there was a goal, so something must have been wrong with defending ;)
I wonder if you played the demo, but defense is pretty good in PES 2009.
About online: Since yesterday the PS3-on-line is lag-less (!! heared from 4 sources ) and the Xbox servers for PES 2009 are not available since yesterday, so they obviously work on that.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I know quite a few goals come from mistakes in real life, but that's either because the defender mistimes a tackle and gets skinned, slips over or something, not because they stand still or run away from the ball...

And yes, I did actually get to play the demo at one of my mates houses, and we both agreed that it was shit. All my suspicions from the videos we have seen were true when playing the game.

And the online should be lagless at the moment, because the game is nearly a week from release, and there would probably be about 10 people on the whole online servers at a time... When you get thousands on release day then expect the thing to be fucked.

I don't think we ever agree about PES. We are the outer limits ;)

Great video - now really looking forward to making my own half-arsed efforts in a few days!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Shit the anticipation is killing me. I expect reviews from everyone.
I have to wait at full week after you lucky europeans.

1. Are you talking about PES 2009?
2. PC, PS3 or Xbox version?

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Higher than those that cant accept that there are people that enjoy it and do find it playable.

if people find pes2009 great then good on them. its their choice.
i personally wont be buying it, the full retail version is on display at HMV and its more or less the same as the demo, for me thats a no purchase and wont be purchasing any PES games until there is dramatic improvements but each to their own, i dont want to belittle anyones point of view, thats a c**ts trick.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I bought PC version, they have also PS3 and Xbox, I installed now, I registrated obtained that IDs ( its annoying omg ) and I am online but lobbies are empty

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Played just 3 matches , hard to say, I had worst button response in demo,
now it seems its ok.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

But keepers are same shit as in demo, they are simply deflecting too much easy shots .
