i have played both demo now 360 and ps3
And the only difference i could tell is that the 360 controller is set to manual from the beginning while the ps3 is set to assisted
It looks abit better on my ps3 but i guess its because i dont have hdmi on my 360
I love the new gameplay it feels solid and much better in defence ,the slidingtackles actually let you get up with the ball while the attacker bites the grass.
Also harder to advance in attack you really need to find the spaces and pass the ball around
A big big improvement over pes 2008 which was unplayable on my ps3
Looking forward to the retailversion
Oh no slowdowns whatsoever :))

I seem to recall Konami promising something else and not a minor improvement.

Players like Ronaldo & Messi should be able to pass through defenders with ease, that's how it is in real life, and that's how it should be in the game.

Slower pace doesn't equal realistic football. It's not always about building up & teamwork. You'd never be able to replicate what you see in a real football match in this game, ever, because of all the endless limitations.

The bad totally outweighs the good, whatever good there may be.

My impressions? Well the LED adboards are nice!

Seriously, I was not impressed, its an improvement over 2008 but thats not hard. I think its still too easy to score, the passing is just so perfect its unreal. quiet_riot you are right about the animations too.
I am not a hater, Pro Evo/Winning Eleven has given me so much joy over the last 10-15 years (if you go as far back as ISS on the SNES) but it is now in serious need of help. I do realise that this is a demo and the final product might be better but I am still dissapointed. its just turned so arcade now, I don't have to try to score and the keepers are not even confrence quality.
It's a shame as 'the other game' has really increased in quality recently whist this goes backwards.

Can you confirm if there's a button to send one of your teammates go forward, like FIFA's L1? I remember seabass talking about it.

hey people, can you help me please somebody?
I have the demo for ps3, but my tv is not HD,the graphics are cool but sometimes i note a little bit of pixels,should i change some settings one the ps3 menu? and the tv, i use total screen, can i use total screen or is better panoramic screen? thanks

Its like PEs08 in slow mode :? i can even score the same goals, same tactics...doesnt feel like a new game

and whoever says its like PES5.......LOLOLOLL thats an insult to PES5, cant believe WENB say its PES5 with better graphics :SS

Quite a lot of different opinions.
This is not strange as this board has divided in two camps and you see that back in the opinions about the game.

I have my opinion too, but it really is a waste of time to put all my thoughts overehere. I keep it by the remark that I like it very much and that I see a lot of that great PES 5 back in the game. I generally feel like the opinion from JDay.

i know something most people don't know (but it's true): You didnt play the demo, youre just speculating. When you announced: I am downloading the demo, you were lieing and you know it's true bro. You, you, you with your awefull irritating avatar of you.

Well it depends on your TV. Althoug it's not an HD tv, does it accept HD imput? Is it widescreen or not? If you have a widescreen, leave it to normal, cause PES2009 is widescreen. If it has digital imput possibilty: put your ps3 on 720p, 1080i or 1080p and findout yourselve which is best.
And of course, pes2009 isnt a graphic beauty, so if you play it in 640x480 graphics are i think very avarage.

i played 3 games, all of em not very enjoyable...horrible goalkeeping and the fact that you cant skip the video after the demo is the most frustrating thing ever, WTF KONAMI :SS why do they want to annoy people?
