I made some videos. FIRST OF ALL. My PC specs are very bad. My laptop wasn´t made for games so I played 640 resolution and low detail. My graphics card is really bad so don´t complain about graphics. Here we go. All videos are played on top player. First one. In this one you can see how we have to play to create goal chances.. this game is not easy. You have to think, use teamwork.

In this one as you can see, the CPU positioning is AWESOME. No empty space... you have to work to create the space, just press play :)

Another one in wich I had to pass the ball around and even change side to create a goal chance!! Also see how Van Nistelroy and Raul are often moving to the side lines. Strikers go many times to the side lines in PES 2009 when you play 4-4-2 formation. That´s real! Also when you do a 1-2 pass (when you send your player in a run in L1), he now can make diagonal runs or even vertical ones. He´s not always going straight forward.

And this is an entire half Real Madrid vs Barcelona. At the beggining I did a 360 roulette with van der vaart using D-pad. Also different players do different things (and not only 1 feint per player). This game is good.

Well, round about this time of year we have 10 bags of shit hitting an industrial sized fan.

Whilst I haven't played the game yet it's becoming pretty obvious that 2008 was a one off, thank fork. I don't know if I'll download the PS3 demo because it'll take a few years to finish.

But yeah, everyone needs to get their wellies on because it's going to be anything but pleasant in a very short amount of time.

we must wait for new game graphics studio or what ? faces in 2009 looks the same like in 2008 so .... ? any idea ?

Try the editing forum mate http://forums.evo-web.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=13 , and are you trying to import faces into the Demo???...

your vids are much better than that lepzig and stuff..

you play really good, at least much better than the freaks that were playing at those others vids.. here we can notice the difficulty of the CPU this year.. :D

It plays much slower then them videos for me i still think tempo could do with being knocked down abit more certainly not ridiculous PES 08 speed that for sure.

loving this game. its great for konami to release the demo before fifa. At least for PC there is no doubt.

Graphically i can see a step forward in wide camera. The kits look fabulous, and the creases are visible. The faces are not so good, but i hope lodmixer will fix this, if juce is pleased with the game.
The crowd is very good too, they seem all 3d to me.

The problem with the pc version is still the same. Cant use antialiasing (even forcing it), and the vsync doesnt work (the game is superfast)

I played the demo for about an hour.. it's atrocious!

What happened to the responsiveness? What happened to the powerful shots? The ball travels slow as hell when crossing or shooting. The only thing that seems very much improved is the fluidity, the rest is absolute shit.

You can post all the screenshots you want showcasing PES's "amazing" faces, that won't change the fact that it plays like crap & it will not, in any way, compete with Fifa 09.

What graphics card have you got? You can force anti aliasing and anisotropic on Nvidia cards using the control panel

I'm afraid these incredibly bad animations and the speed and motion patterns of the ball (too much, especially in comparison with the players's movements to kick it, and too smooth), along with the astonishing exclusion of untucked shirts will ruin the game for me.

I think I can judge it now, after 10 games or so.

Please note, that I played not on a decent pc, but I think it will be the same on better configs.

The good: ? maybe ball physics, runs better on the same pc, as Pes 2008
replays smooth..

The bad: - yes it's lost in responsiveness..
- running animations - don't need explanation
- referees - every physical contac - foul
- every time player goes to the ground - yellow card.
- fatigue system - I think it's the same as last year
- I think it's easy to go pass defenders with the
players like the barcelona trio, it really is, but
you need to change directions quickly - this
animation also look ridicuolus
- One very important bad point: I felt it already
in PES 2008, instead of the game becoming more
manual, it seems more automatic this year too: AI
decides strongly where the passes go, AI decides
to use controlled shot, makes automatic sliding
tackles, headers, and so on.
Keepers seems to be shit again, but improved.
- Defending problems are really in ,which were
mentioned here several times
- Sound effects are really bad
- game speed is fast, but it's maybe because of my shit pc, and sometimes the frame rate is at 60, but in crowded situations is down for 30 and fixed.
Don't keep high your expectations..

Other infos:

Keeper cursor - out, Supercancel - in, less skills, at least in the command list,

PES6 remains the best game for me.

I still hope, but it happened last year too.

IMO: they only sorted the technical issues in the engine, but no return of the king gameplay-wise..

I can use my money saved for pc upgrade for something more usefull this year..

Dude, you have to play it. You can feel is good or bad, but it is not PES2008. Just the long passes are really slower compared to those in PES2008. I like the game but I cannot make a judgement with 2 games on a laptop with a shitty video card ¬¬

just played it,have to say if you dont mind that it looks the same as pes08 it plays alot better and is smoother.it wont be a giant leap forward but i think it still will be a rewarding game to play.to me its pes2008.5

one funny thing i noticed is that the licenced pool grey kits have the wrong colour numbers on the back of them,they are red on demo they should be white!!! also added are the liverpool fans chants sung by a weird sounding crowd, trust konami eh

Hey guys, been testing out the demo. IMO improved greatly on PES 2009. The gameplay is slower and more measured. The AI is improved vastly no more stupid gaps or running away from the ball from what I can see. The new control system is taking some getting used to though - e.g. unassisted.

The graphics are also outstanding and some of the players are very lifelike e.g. Torres, Ronaldo.

Anyways, here's some screenies I took from the various menus/players in the demo. Settings all on High, Resolution: 1280x1024. Graphics card used Asus Geforce EN8800GT.

p.s. I don't really have an obsession with Ronaldo, I just think he looks incredible in the game.

Sidestep doesn't look like its in there at all. Auto-feint is definitely in there though.

As long as you said PES 6 is better than this masterpiece (check my videos) I just have no comments to make about your post. I just want to clarify that "every touch is foul" is completly untrue. You can see my videos and there are only 2 or 3 fouls. And the game didn´t lost in responsiveness. The game is just slower and you can´t quick turn with the players. You have to stop and it´s importante to use R2 while you have the ball to maintain the ball close to your feet. And then you win responsiveness.... if you don´t know what football is all about or if you don´t know how to play just don´t say things wich are untrue!!!
