I was having a flick through this earlier to see how the unlicensed Spanish teams looked - ....Awful. Atletico Madrid play in Dark Grey! I know this can be taken care of in edit mode but going to be stuck like that for online play. Surely Konami aren't going to get sued by La Liga/EPL if they have the teams in similar looking kits (minus logos and emblems of course). Its always puzzled me how far out the default kits/teamnames are. Football Manager doesn't have an EPL license yet they still call the teams by their correct names.

Although last year Messi felt like i was controlling a little midget with tiny legs. Look at those legs go I used to say.

I'd take crisp running animations over cranky faces anyday. It would be nice if one of the games could combine the 2

Does'nt mean to say its more fun and i have not mentioned the gameplay in that list, but its certainly more superior in almost every department.I dont need to play PES09 I just need to engage the fucking eyeballs.

right the editing mode works like this,you have 40 spaces to add badges to kits. then you have 40 more spaces to add kit logos(1 sports brand, 1 sponsor) thats a total of 80 for logos(same as pes6) then you can use the pixel editor as many times as you like,as they are saved to the hd,they can be used to make the national team badges and logos.

all in all the edit mode will be fine for making all unlicenced teams in game kits this year:applaud:

I was being sarcastic because some people state as facts some things like "better online"... I know online never was the best feature of PES, but stating that FIFA 2009 is better online as a fact is non-sense when nobody has played online FIFA or PES this year.

There's no point having accurate faces in PES if the bodies they are on run around like twats and don't act like footballers... If all you can do to bash FIFA is to criticise the faces then it must be good .

I could make an animated gif of a dodgy animation or some stupid AI in PES (which is very much more important than player faces), post it and and go "WTFFFFF is that", but there would be too many examples of that to choose from...

Sure, and then I would ask you how can I play FIFA online using my own custom tactics, in wich I choose exactly the position in the field where my players are, and their exact role. And I can also ask you how can I use a responsive supercancel. Oh dear... I can´t do these 2 things in fifa...

Unless Fifa said "Lets botch up the online guys!" and PES 2009 made a huge huge stride online, then.......well, some things are just obvious. Of course, I cant wait to try PES online. Up to now I believe Fifas online will stomp pes. Not just as far as lag free and technical things but as far as modes, options, etc. Fifa has 10 vs. 10, Adidas Live......and PES will have______________.

PES owe alot of guys here a huge huge thanks and perhaps a huge paycheck. You guys (yyou know who you are) accept anything from Konami. A turd wrapped up with a PES wrapper? "Brilliant game!". They should be greatful for you guys allowing mediocrity.

I agree that the chances of FIFA 2009 being better online are 100-1 compared to PES. What I dont understand is why people state that as a FACT rather than a high percent possibility.

About your second paragraph, I feel sorry for you, honestly. If mediocrity is being the leader on footy games for... 10 years? then I want to be mediocre. Konami has delivered lots of good games. Did PES 2008 suck? Yes, big time. That not means PES2009 will suck. If you don't see anything positive in the game, fine, don't buy the game. The people which genuinely enjoy it will be happy. Just don't feel you are better than them because, since the game has flaws, you moan all day about it and you can't see anything good in the game.

I honestly dont understand why some people bothers to be here just to moan about the game. I dont get it. One thing is being critic, very different from moan about the same again and again and again. That is the reason, I guess, every single year before the release of a new WE/PES game these threads end full of spam and useless comments about the same over and over. It is a shame, honestly. Even with WENB as an option, EW have been the best source of news about WE/PES from a long time ago, with members like ThomasGoal giving us news.
