Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Those new videos are better than others we have seen, but it still looks "meh" to me, nothing stands out and makes me go "wow" :(.

It will be still be enjoyable for a lot of people though, which is what matters, as video games are just to have fun on :)).

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I've just noticed something else - contrary to what I said earlier about putting the kit manufacturer, badge and sponsor on the same .png file, the import area seems to be the same as last year, and only JUST reaches to the level which is in line with the bottom of the team badge (the word Samsung on the import is very high up the valid area, it can't go much higher).

So it looks like kit manufacturer logos (and maybe the badge and sponsor) might have to go a bit lower than they actually are on the shirt just to get all the info on there. I guess this is due to the limitations of the editing template as the shoulder part STILL can't be edited on with an imported file.

There are an impressive number of collars though, loads and loads of them ! and finally 4 different default "neck-hole" :) shapes, Round-neck and V-neck available both with and without a collar, AND then with colour customisation.

I seriously doubt Konami will have picture files imported from 360 HDD. It just isn't like them to have something contemporary when they can half-arse it and make you wait another year.

In other news, I've noticed Bolton's 2007/8 Reebok template, numerous 2007/8 Umbro templates and a fair few adidas 2007/8 templates too (e.g. the old Chelsea fluorescent one), but no sign of the widely used Umbro 2008/9 templates (Sunderland, Hull, West Brom, plus a certain Championship club I might be interesting in recreating) or the current Mexico (and others) adidas kit.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Thomasgoal sorry if you have altready anwered this question..but we can put always untucked shirt in edit mode? thanks ;)

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Um... hang on, I've just noticed the sock edit mode has a "Y" button icon (to create a colour). The SOCK editing screen shot has it too...

Well, that was dense of me... the screenshot is just up there, with A and Y and RT and LT all over it - but it's a PC version, because the filepath is a bog standard Windows one, albeit with "Dcouments and Settings" in German on one of the other screens.

(And it is from PC Action, too...) Hm, still proves or disproves nothing as far as the 360 goes.

the PC version have 360 buttons

they're not 360's pictures, but PC ones

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

Yeah but someone will come here and say player eyes in pes are not next gen and have old gen engine, and are not pure 3d and bla bla bla

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

PES faces are looking a lot better. I personally have no gripes with PES09 graphically, I'd be happy with that just not as keen on the gameplay.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

yeah pes faces are much, much better.

When still they look great but when facial expressions happen and such they look crap which FIFA has the edge on.

PES 2009 Demo will contain ONLINE FUNCTION!!!

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

The PES faces on the whole are quite accurate, but the hair looks more like a wig in some cases - it seems detatched from the head instead of all looking like one thing. The lighting on the PES faces also seems very basic - this may just be because they are in the edit mode screen though.

I'm surprised by how bad some of the FIFA faces (and player models) look in those renders, as on the 09 demo (sorry about mentioning it) the majority of them look very accurate. EA always do that - release renders and instead of in-game screens when in-game pictures would show off the game better.

All that said, they are not something which bother me really though, as I normally play football games on the furthest camera possible so details like faces are not of any importance.

As almost all the FIFA models look like cartoons or clowns to begin with, they're not realistic and don't become more realistic. Whereas the PES faces start realistic and can become deformed from animation. I think I'd prefer the ones that looked real at SOME point.

Can't agree with you there, it's always been the thing that bothers me about FIFA - that and the same generic guy turning up that I see in NHL08 as well.

Fair comment on the camera thing though.

No, it's in-game picts

I think bad traduction, because the news says "multiplayer" and i think it's just because the PES2008 demo are just for only one player

I know what you mean mate...

I been sayin for ages that the game will be viewed for the majority of the time zoomed as far out as possible rendering most small graphical details obsolete...:brick:

If me and my mates are happy with it on PC format that'll do me...

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I have to say that I am a PES Fan and I do generally think that PES faces are better, but I think that the skin textures on FIFA players is much more realistic than PES skin textures. Either way I think that EA has done a much better job this year with faces than in the past. I think that fans of both games will be happy with their choices this year. I just hope that PES 2009 will bring back the fun in it's gameplay. I agree with Rob92 in the fact that I also play with the camera as far back as possible so the faces don't mean a whole lot to me except in replays and so forth.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion Etc. (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS OR POLITICAL CHA

I knew someone would come here and say fifa ones are better :) but they aren´t. I´m sick of fifa and pes fan boys. Just be fair and see the facts. And the fact is that pes faces are better than fifa ones. Look at deco!!! In fifa he is not accurate, rooney looks like a zombie. Come on, fifa animations are way better than pes ones, bue I prefer pes kit design, faces and the overall player design. More realistic.
