finally a good edit mode! let's just hope they extend the maximum edited teams becouse 8 shirts last year was simply ridiculous! in fact the edit should be ilimitated becouse of the size of HD of xb360 and ps3, there's no reason to limit it!

Awesome Edit Mode

But i have a question for Thomas.....Upload photo in Ps3 is the same?we can upload jpg or other format like pc version?

And..we can design logo or sponsor with "paint" on game?

You can upload jpeg, png (transparent), (and tiff or gif i don't remember)

Why can't they release video footage of them scrolling through the edit menus? Its very tedious scrolling through pictures

Finally some bloody edit mode pics.

Well, it looks pretty nice. A few things I spotted :

1) Templates seem to be for ALL layers - not 100% sure but it looked like the 70+ templates were the same for each layer, which is actually a good thing.

2) The "third stripe" is back !!! Proper adidas ripoffs again !!!

3) Doesn't matter that there's no Adidas logo on the Chelsea kit in that picture, you can import a PNG with the adidas logo AND Samsung on the same picture and that will solve the problem. (Though still not sure if that's just PS3 or Xbox360 too).

4) Something going on with socks too, I'm not sure if they're multilayered with the designs being interchageable or it's just that the sock choice on the sock template menu appears as it does due to the middle white stripe being blue (and then changed) ? Either way it's at least AS good as it was previously.

5) Yeah, I'm worried about the lack of Nike boots in slots 9,10,11,12 - hopefully it is just an earlier build, but my God that would be annoying.

6) There are NO boot-editing options at all, those 16 are all you get. You can't even change the colours of boots 1-4, as the word "Edit" doesn't appear on the screen. Certainly suggests DLC might be coming. That does make me wonder where the white/blue adipures etc. might be as well, only the black ones are there and blue were certainly in some previous screenshots. But there's apparently no way to flick through different licensed styles and keep the ones you want, as there was on PES6.

7) I haven't yet checked to see if Torres has the option to have his shirt untucked. Oops.

But only with eyetoy?

Or in other way?

For example...save logo "Fly Emirates" in previous page on my pc...and put on USB key....next i can use for the game o no?

Man I hate it that the 360 users have to do it with the stupid cam that I refuse to purchase. Thomas told me that it wasen't for sure but the import from hdd feature WONT be in the game.

From your USB key mate ;)) (PS3 and PC) not confirmed for 360
but if you want use eye toy you can too

8) Still don't know if the Prem numbers can be added to the licensed Man U kit.

But unless there are numerous options under "kit style", this screenshot implies no untucked shirts in the edit mode - and it suggests you can't set high/low socks too. But HOPEFULLY that would all be in Kit Style - which I don't think we've seen in any of the pics ?

That high/low socks thing has been in since PES4 i think. It'd be stupid if it was left out along with the untucked shirt

Dunno why they still have friendship bracelets as they aren't allowed anymore due to some weird regulation :D

I've got a 360 and if the game is as good as it looks in the recent videos I might seriously consider trading it in for a PS3 purely for the uncomplicated PES2009 edit mode. I'm skint or I'd just buy one, but hello Konami and Microsoft, there's a credit crunch on, choices may have to be made...

That's the new dashboard that as far as I'm aware they haven't even confirmed when we're getting, and that you can all but guarantee Konami won't have bothered coding to use with PES2009, right ? If they configure the software for JUST importing from XBoxLIVE Cam (which I have one of but is crap for importing pics due to lack of transparency) then no amount of dashboard updating will make any difference anyway. :(

that feature was always there in the 360 dashboard, put cd in and get the pics and mp3 files from the cd on the hdd, but the game doens't allow photoimport from the hdd on the 360, one really stupid decision from konami there, just tell me why?

It might be stupid, but that doesn't mean they won't remove it, it wasn't in PES6 on 360 for a start...

I didn't know they'd removed the friendship band thing. Probably because it doesn't tie-in with FIFAs idea of acceptable advertising.

I see Konami is still making last minute tweaks to the game since those last vids looked much improved. If only they would remove the sandbags as well. I guess they can't since they need something to hold the net down to the ground.

Net-wise, if it actually affects the physics, why don't they just embed them in a green strip with identical appearance to the grass set just under the ground ? They can't seriously expect me to believe those sandbags are actually affecting the net physics anyway, and it's not like the net just disappearing into the ground is any WORSE than having the stupid sandbags.

If they made the actual mesh touch the ground rather than the loose strings they could just claim to have minute hooks holding it there and get rid of the sandbags - which to be honest they could just do now and leave the rest of it as it is with no-one being remotely bothered.

Not that I actually care about them much.

I would imagine ThomaGoal's point is that the dashboard update hasn't happened yet and it's unlikely Konami will have coded for it to be used. Which was my point, also. Even if the HDD is suddenly available for file uploads that doesn't mean the 360 version of PES will accept the files - though to be fair to Konami they did well with the Option File/Achievement saves being in different places last year.

Because they're based in Japan and 360 owners aren't their target audience, and it would take some development resource they weren't prepared to invest, I'd suspect.

I don't think so that KONAMI don't know about new dashboard and do something to not use some function to edit.I think that the most important thing is possible to copy jpg and mp3 files in xbox 360 to hdd.The patch makers need new tools in xbox 360 which is only on Ps3 and new dashboard enable to do this the same as Ps3.
