Read both reviews, and I really don't get the score at the end. If you read the PES one without the score, it basically says: Still great gameplay, no new modes, Legend is poor, we haven't even looked at Multiplayer and this thing hasn't changed in 5 years.
Then you read the 'other' review and it goes on about all the improvements and new features and how it's wonderfully realistic, looks great etc etc - and then the scores are 88 to 83.

Feels to me like the editor changes the final paragraphs. But maybe that's just me :(

The graphics on this game are now looking "NextGen". Pretty much happy with that, Lets hope they now make the other half just as good.

Can't wat to get my hands on this game. The only thing I'm struggling with now is which system to get it for. Xbox360 screens look much more crispier. Colors look more vibrant. However the PS3 ones I've seen look great, however not that vibrant. I'd much prefer the PS3 controller along with the juicy option file the will be available to fix unlicensed teams.

We shall see...we shall see..

I agree replays in the OTHER game are not fluid, but please, come on, don't say replays in pes6 360 and pes2008 360/ps3 were fluid (!). Good lord, worst replays ever in those games.

The more I play the more I can see the obvious repetitive goals, slow response (a tiny bit improved on 08) and the total frustration that has plagued the previous 2 efforts.

You first put the demo on and you think wow, its amazing, shooting is improved and the animations are brilliant, but the very heart of the engine is still FIFA08, its just slighty quicker and a bit better looking.

It's overall a better game than 08 but its not giving me the buzz it did when first playing the demo and the FIFA series has never given me the buzz that PES ever did.

I don't agree with any of that but I guess thats your opinion. The response times was one my my gripes when I came back from playing a early build but to me the Demo is as responsive they can make the game. Asking for more responsiveness is telling EA to make players turn on a dime which is unrealistic. Again each to their own but I think the reason your not enjoying FIFA is due to it being a realistic game rather than PES which is somewhat a simulation but a very dulled down one without much depth.

people need to read that actual review, scores are mostly misleading. i was expecting this from PSM seeing as they got the exclusive right to the review :SS

Ah yes, we all know that Konami have bought the media off. It couldn't be that despite the negatives it's actually the better game.

Actually this is quite funny. Last year you're convinced the reviewers lied, now they are saying exactly what you'd expect and you still don't buy it.

By perchance did you support Ron Paul's bid for the Presidency?

Judging from yer responses to any positive review of PES2009, it would seem that to you, any review of PES, decent or half-decent, would seem biased and inaccurate. Maybe them reviewers just like the game, after spending a good 3-5 hours playing it? Its not that hard to believe, innit?

Haven't posted for abit so I just want to say a few things.First of all, the news screens are looking very impressive lighting and player models looking very good.

As for the gameplay, I must say all of the leipzieg videos looked bad and so did the recent ign ones but i must say the video cannigia took was much of an improvement making me now realise what Adam was talking about.

I am also happy to see new licenced nike boots something i've been waiting for for years so well done Konami on that. Champions league is also a good bonus agen would have been nice to have all Champions league teams licenced though.

So overall I am quite impressed with the news that has hit since the champions league trailer.

These reviews are lame. They don't get any coherence at all. Anyone who carefully reads the articles should be stoned by the scores. But anyway, reviews from critics are lame.

There's people who even thought the last Indy movie was good / fun.

I just checked your Youtube favourites and you've got Loose Change on there. Seriously, if you believe that shit than get the fuck out of here. The level of cognitive dissonance required to believe that is so incredible that I'm amazed that you're able to breathe without being reminded. Oh, and you also believe the New World order stuff? 1 month till the release, and i am starting to get excited. damn...it's allways like this...last year was a big let down, i just hope this will be any good. i don't want to play fifa only :(

I think last year a lot of us were aware that something wasn't quite right. Thankfully this year that doesn't seem to be the case, what with the major bugs seemingly gone.

guys yesterday i tried PES2009 Demo in Dubai GAMES 2008 you know what i did`nt feel anychange and keep asking my friend is that really PES2009 !! its a shock and you will see !! its the same with 5% difference in some animations and speed ,, and you know what some of the guys over there keep complaining that he did`nt knew its PES2009 only when he saw the logo all the times he thinks its PES2008 :/

Whatever man. I just like to do my own research instead of listen what our shitty media spoon feeds us. If you want to be one of the sheep then be my guest. I'm the stereotype! :LOL:. Some of the information I've come across is not very convincing but the majority of it is more convincing than the media newsand the official stories.

PES 2009 will be super awesome because Adam at WENB said it's nothing at all like PES 2008. It's a super realistic football simulator, yay!

Haha so far every pre/review that gave pes good points are either biased or wrong im sure we will soon get a bad one and then we know they are absolutly right ;))
