Well, I keep thinking, despite a lot of ppl don't, that PES graphics is widely better than the other footy game. At all.

Well....:SS playing the OTHER demo on the 360; graphics are stunning. But gameplay etc etc..

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

I think they are players standing in the shade of the stadium as they are the same shots of some players in the sun.

The night time lighting is far better on Pes than it is on Fifa IMO and i dont think that has changed.

Yes they are day shot for sure, but they looks to dark imho. And also yes night lighting is miles better in pes and judging from screens and videos that hasen't changed.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

I played the other game demo too, and yes the graphics is very good of course but I feel it so unnatural, artefact, "cinematish" like someone already said..

Also, when you look at replays on the other game, the action seems to be so jerky. In pes replays are fluid and phisically reliable.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

Only a handful of those look spot-on. Ronaldinho looks like a horse. Flamini looks nothing like Flamini, neither does Jankulovski (wtf goatee? lol). I thought they would do Ibrahimovic more justice, but they didn't.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

Yeah agreed, player models do look good.

Those menu graphics look rubbish though, they've played around with it way to much. Simple and effective is how they should have gone.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

The only thing seriously letting the graphics down on Pro Evo is the animations. If they can sort that out, it'll look a far more impressive game.

Nice to see they've finally sorted out the pitches because they were blaaady awful

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

AC milan pics :)
Ronnie looks amazing

Konami did a good Job with Player Faces again.

But Ronnie? I don't now,, i think he looks a little bit strange. Reminds me of a sex dummy to be honest :DD

maybe it is time to stop looking porn that much

Animations are still behind but they dont make a great game, just make it look nicer.

FIFA loooks fantastic with those superb animations but it plays average to me.

I know hich one I would rather have;))

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

It's a bit odd that a proper magazine says that Konami ripped the Be a Pro from Fifa yet fails to mention the fantasistiasista mode from WE. I would have thought that they would be a bit versed in that respect but oh well.

I'm somewhat surprised at how large portions of the review are negative, yet the game still outscores Fifa. Actually I'm not, the negatives of the game are typical of sports games in general. The heart and soul of the game still sounds as if it's in good nick.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

is it me or do i see some wrongs?
pes6 didnt have FK challenge mode, it was pes5
Become a legend aint a carbon copy of Fifa its be a pro

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

Lack of new ideas is starting to grate... :applaud:
I find it really weird that they're only saying this now, why not last year, or the year before, or the year before that, etc...?

The game lost its magic for me around PES4/5 time, it was a chore playing it because I just thought, I've won all these competitions before, as the same teams, playing against the same teams, with 99% the same gameplay and the same "feeling". It pains me that they won't add an extra 2% onto the budget and hire enough data researchers and inputters to have at least one lower league in two or three countries...
