PES 2008 demo - patches, files etc

1st dds DXT 1 - 1bit alpha same as you export it.........rest i cant remember but they are the same as you export them from hex......

Install:
You need AFS Explorer

1. Unpack Derbystar Brilliant APS.
2. Start AFS Explorer and go to menu FILE - IMPORT AFS File.
3. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES.
4. From your PES 2008 img folder open cv_1.img (backup it first).
5. Answer NO to questions and the file will be opened.
6. Go to Action > Import Folder and choose the folder with the unpacked files.
7. Answer Yes to questions and the file will be opened.
8. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES.
9. Now save the "cv_1" as "cv1_1.img".
10. Wait for end of rebulding and answer Yes to the next questions and the file will reloaded.
11. Close AFS Explorer.
12. Remove your old "cv_1.img" and rename the new "cv1_1.img" in "cv_1.img".

Maybe Day time/Weather choices can be activated too. In unnamed_418 you can find Grass textures too, seems that all Stadium´s bins of day/time weather are presents. Is this possible or am I wrong?

Pes turf in medium detail is much difrend than turf in high detail, so in my opinion that NEW turf is better than pes turf in medium detail, but in high detail level PES turf is better. PEACE
 
If it's possible to insert pitch, can someone color up the original so it was more green ? The new one is not too good in the technical way. Many little squares.
 
lol i cant beleave how much u guys are on top of this DEMO , dam the game aint out and we have new balls, new lineups, im so greatfull for ur talents thanks alot

I' ve found 102 electronic adboards in unnamed_38.bin.....
They are bmp 1024x64,but I still haven't found their palette;these are the results applying a greyscale indexed palette:

I think that the *.gif format is quite 'heavy' for a game..right? Even if it was possible...

All Stadium Weather Effects are located in the cv_1. the system is similar to PES 3 till PES6
The Files are from unnamed_377 till unnamed_418.bin= 1 Stadium
The first 7 Files(377-383) are for Day Fine, the next 7 Files(384-390) are for Day Rain...
Day Snow (391-397)
Night Fine(398-404)
Night Rain(405-410)
Night Snow(411-417)

I try to change the files with the default Files for the Day Fine Stadium with Rain,Snow but no Effect, only the Night Stadium are working smooth, don´t know why :roll: Maybe other files are located them too :(

I created a AFS Explorer Patch for that, but this Night Stadium have the orginal Turf, maybe blackillusion can give it a try to change this turf also.

Night Stadium Patch:

1. Open AFS Explorer
2. Go to menu FILE - IMPORT AFS File
3. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES
4. From your PES 2008 img folder open cv_1.img
5. Answer "NO" to questions and the file will be opened.
6. Go to ->Advanced-->Import Patch load"Nightstadium Patch"
7. Answer "YES" to questions and the file will be opened
8. Answer "NO" to questions, if you wanna load another Patch
9. In the new Popupwindow, click "Patch"
10. Answer "YES" to the Question: One or more files are using.....
Do you want to rebiuld
11. Select the new Name use: "cv_1a.img" and save anywhere
12. Go to your img Folder from the Demo and save your "cv_1.img"
13. now copy the "cv_1a.img" into that folder and rename to "cv_1.img"

Finshed

btw: for the adboards try a look into the stadiumfiles, they have now 7 files instead 6 in PES 6, maybe one of them located the adboards, that extract,unpack,hexedit etc. is too much for me, for a simply demo ;)

Have you tried to import Heineken ones over the konami ones (in case you´ve locate them inside unnamed_38)?
And can you make a basic tutorial on how to extract them from ZLIB? (undestand if you can´t)

Is that a lower res pitch ? and if so does it help with frame rate?

I get 60fps most of the time but I get slow down sometimes in the middle of the pitch or at each end..

The frame rate speed during these slow downs is 45fps ..

should there be slow down with 45fps?

after research the file you upload
i found you just replace the last compress file's 1st texture
and i just replace that texture too
it works

and i found that 2 front textures of 4 compress files
are the same
the difference between them is 3rd one
this is their alpha

the 4th compress file's 3rd texture has not alpha

and i replace 4 with 3
this is the effect

so game display only 4th compress file in fact
what's the use of other 3 compress files?
