PES 2008 demo - patches, files etc

the 4th compress file's 3rd texture has not alpha

and i replace 4 with 3
this is the effect
are you sure you mean you replace 4 with 3, or did you mean you replace 3 with 4 :shock:
so game display only 4th compress file in fact
what's the use of other 3 compress files?

i guess that are standart files for the pattern on the stadiums. circle is for Amsterdam arena, bet ? ;) and the game will load this pattern if you choise the stadium.

what do you use for import/replace the new file in zlib maanager: simply compress or insert ? i´m confused on that

Install:

You need AFS Explorer

1. Unpack Derbystar Brilliant APS.
2. Start AFS Explorer and go to menu FILE - IMPORT AFS File.
3. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES.
4. From your PES 2008 img folder open cv_1.img (backup it first).
5. Answer NO to questions and the file will be opened.
6. Go to Action > Import Folder and choose the folder with the unpacked files.
7. Answer Yes to questions and the file will be opened.
8. In the dialog window go to last combo box and select ALL FILES.
9. Now save the "cv_1" as "cv1_1.img".
10. Wait for end of rebulding and answer Yes to the next questions and the file will reloaded.
11. Close AFS Explorer.
12. Remove your old "cv_1.img" and rename the new "cv1_1.img" in "cv_1.img".

I've checked also cv_1.img,but I still haven't found any team flag :sad:

About that Guy who said to import .Gif ;) I don't think it's possible cuz if it would we surely try it for PES6 ... There should be other ways for Animated ads ...
 
how you get the bmp files out of the bin?


I use to search for we00 instead of dds...
I understood that we00 is the header of a texture inside the bin;if i can't find
word dds between two headers,then i select the block from we00 to the following we00,like in this preview





and i save this block in bmp....then i add bmp header(first 54 bytes of a bmp file) and some time also palette(1024 bytes following header o a bmp)...

Using the right header,i can manage to almost all bmp of the game,like kits,numbers...

Oke plss someone tell me how to reserve space for a file if i press reserver space and then reserve it make it larger i regenerate afs. and close do i have to open asf again and then put file in it or what??

I' ve found 102 electronic adboards in unnamed_38.bin.....
They are bmp 1024x64,but I still haven't found their palette;these are the results applying a greyscale indexed palette:




so I was right :)

unnamed 38 is used for the adboards on the field,39 is for adboards on the rest of the stadium....great!!

Am I wrong, or many graphic files are no more index colored? (like boots, balls, gloves, background screens etc.)

they are dds files,high quality textures



EDIT: where are team flags? anyone ?

We should reorganize the map of files now that ggs is out.........
