Next Gen Consoles

question.

Im going to give my dad my 360 for xmas as I get my Xbox1 next Friday. If I delete my profile from the 360 it wont affect anything on my Xbox1 will it?

I want to clear the 360 so when my dad gets the console it dont have any of my stuff on it.

I know that the Xbox1 will pull all my info through but it wont be deleted if I delete it of the 360 will it?

Im guessing no but if someone could confirm that would be great. Thanks

Information like achievements, XBL gold account etc are all downloaded from the server when you ad your gamertag.

Not sure if the 360 is backwards compatible, if it is then things like saves and downloaded games and DLCs you'll need to transfer manually or re-download them (not the saves though).

OFF TOPIC:

I was going to mention the South Park episode the other day, it is hilarious throughout and would recommend everyone to watch it, but you have to probably watch Game of Thrones as well as it is all mainly based around that.
Only problem is it is 2 parts and the next part isn't on till next week. But the PS4 and Xbone don't come close to Stop Touching Me Elmo.

I don't want voice based commands in my games nor in my UI. Seems childish to me.

That is fine I understood that much from your post, I'm pretty sure that you have the option of using it?

I just don't understand somebody saying a feature that is supposed to work and not working being a good thing? Saying something like 'I don't mind about that, I won't use it anyway' would be an understandable response.

Anyway it doesnt matter, Hopefully it works well as airjoca said.

yep voice control is really childish.....I think it is about as childish as playing computer games in the first place?

If you look at the bottom someone called Thomas wrote it

TG at it again maybe

After seeing that Jimmy Fallon video it has me a lot more interested in the PS4. It opens up quite a few ways to do something different with games with its touch pad and wii style sensor/gyro/accelerometer.

Looking forward to seeing how they incorporate it into proper games.

Not a great start at all. So rushing to get a console out before Microsoft is biting them in the arse.

Not trying to be an uber PS4 fanboy, but at the end of the day how many people that receive working consoles are likely to go onto Amazon to leave a review? Whereas pretty much everyone who received a broken one would be straight onto Amazon to leave a negative review.

It's obviously unreal..

There verified customers which means they actually purchased the product they are reviewing.
Remember they claimed the Xbox red rings was isolated cases.
Not an Xbox fan boy just anti Sony fanboy and how immature there comments and images have been during the whole pre release proccess.
Buy which console u like best and don't feel like u have to justify your decision or like me get both lol

Guess we should be happy that it isnt getting released for another 2 weeks. By then we should know how widespread either consoles start up issues are. Or in the xbox case a couple of months over here in nl.

Well, things aren't looking good for the PS4 on Amazon.com:

Quite a large percentage of verified purchasers are claiming their PS4s are bricking left and right. If it is all somehow a fake campaign by Xbox fanboys, then kudos to their handiwork, because the reviews on Amazon are insane. I've never seen so many negative, vividly detailed reviews for a product in my life.

No idea what the actual failure rate is, certainly the most vocal reviewers will be the ones with a broken console... but a quick look shows about a 40% 1 star rating. Don't know if they are all from verified purchasers... but wow. It's like the 360 launch all over again.

Yeah, I'd imagine those star ratings are skewed because people are far more likely to take to the internet to complain than to praise.

On the other hand, I totally agree with those people complaining about how loud the PS4 is - I was playing Killzone with a headset on and I could still hear the fan. I certainly wouldn't give it a one star because of it but it's pretty disappointing nonetheless.

(The good news is that the fan doesn't run nearly as much when playing FIFA as it does playing Killzone.)

Haha this is so funny, they seem to have ironed all the problems they had with the PS3 and got all the 360 ones instead. Don't wanna rub it in too much though in case my Xbone explodes.

I think Microsoft will have learned from the ridiculous failure rate of the 360.

Issues like this are a good reason to not pre-order and take a step back and see how the consoles are at launch, rather than ending up having to deal with these problems yourself.

Another PS4 review:

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/11/playstation-4-hardware-review-off-to-a-mixed-start/

The good
Beautiful, unique case design
Relatively quiet operating noise
Lighting, smoke effects, and character models look great
DualShock 4 controller is one of the best we've ever used
Stream game audio to any headset through the controller
What's New section provides a look at friends' activities
Automatic download of system and game updates
Great new PlayStation Store interface
Streaming gameplay online is easy and addictive
Local Vita Remote play works surprisingly well

The bad
Relatively high power consumption
Leap in graphics doesn't provide the "wow factor" of previous generational jumps
Controller only gets about 7 hours of battery life
Flat system interface gets cluttered and hard to use
Limited editing and upload options for gameplay clips
Music Unlimited is clunky, and the only way to get outside music

The ugly
Camera-based voice commands are practically useless
iOS PlayStation App seems of limited use
Bluetooth headsets don't work, for some reason

The Verdict: Wait for the Xbox One review to compare and contrast.

150 watt for ps4 graphical output level is nice actually.

One of the 5 star reviews:

"Mine worked fine out of the box but the people at the Amazon DC packed it like a bunch of idiots. I'm not surprised there are so many reports of broken PS4's originating from Amazon, as there was literally nothing in the box apart from a few airbags on top. Anytime this box was set down or tossed, the PS4 took the full brunt of it. Mine shipped locally, but almost assuredly would have been broken if it had to travel more.
I'd look into Amazon's DOA rate if I was Sony."

Could be one explanation as to why so many arrived DOA

Makes you wonder doesn't it? Although I don't see the point tbh, if anything I would expect it to reflect badly on MS as well as they have a very crappy record with launch consoles.

If Sony have screwed it up (having had the console ready earlier) then the chances that MS would have similar issues could be greater. I'm not suggesting they will as by all accounts they have learned their lesson and have in turn made a more spacious, cooler and quieter console. But Sony have, I think, a pretty decent record for hardware.

I also don't believe in the Foxconn rumour, there is no way a company who builds as much as they do will allow willfull tampering to take place on a scale that the amazon reviews suggest.

It might be the amazon packing situation or Sony have f£$ked up some software stuff (which I can imagine them doing).

But it is making me wonder whether to bother get one at launch....so whatever the reason or origin it's working to a certain extent.
