Indeed. I'd being doing that too if I had my heart set on an Xbox
Why are we console players fighting each other, can't we be civil and agree to bash that dumb PC-crowd instead

Leave It!
We dont want jonney starting up again. Lets just all stick to winding up Jay and his 50% performance console.
But do they use that 50% of power to make the games look or perform 50% better?
BF4 pushes 50% more pixels on PS4, with better framerates.
Cod pushes 125% more pixels.
And the "POWA OF THE CLOUD" was Microsoft's attempt to convince the xbots that the hardware power advantage of the PS4 wasn't a big deal, but it's pure BS.
Everyone seems to be jumping on the Xbone is shit bandwagon at the moment.
I don't think they were ever going to be on par with PC's for the prices people want to pay.
I'm in the same boat as you - I thought 1080p at a smooth 60fps was going to be a given for all games on the next-gen consoles.Just for balance, both consoles look shit.
Real progress is all games at native 1080p resolution running at 60fps. Neither console is going to deliver that across the board and games that do so will be in the minority.
To me that's a big disappointment, but then again most people won't give a shit. I'm looking at it as an enthusiast PC gamer i.e. a small minority.
airjoca what do you think of the PS4 not having DLNA, not being able to play CD, Mp3's, have an External hard drive, support USBs and not being able to change your wallpaper?
I really don't get the negativity for either console. They'll both have some amazing, innovative games and the advantage over PC, for me, is that i won't have to sit down and learn about PC parts, drivers, all that stuff. Fair play if enthusiasts enjoy it, good luck to them, but the last thing I want to do is to be faffing with PC stuff rather than just playing games.
You don't often have to do those things any more. No offence but I don't think you are aware of how much simpler PC gaming is these days. I'll leave it there as I don't want to de-rail the thread.
I wasn't comparing PC to console value for money so I'm not sure how that point is a relevant reply.Well, PS4 runs Battlefield 4 a lot better than a PC with the same price tag, so it's not shite. It fairs pretty well.
If you want top of the line graphics of course PC is the choice, but it costs a lot more.
And as far as I know, only Battlefield is confirmed to not be 1080p on PS4, everything else is (so far).

Exactly, which I wasn't. I said that both consoles specs are pretty shite in terms of the computer hardware available today (and consoles are computers). At the launch of previous generations, it's been much closer, with the consoles even having the edge at launch for a short period of time, here's a graph from an Nvidia slide comparing GPUs:I think it is relevant to some extent. Especially when we are talking about high quality & performance vs cost.
