Next Gen Consoles

Looking back on it, it's got to be a good thing that some games are being delayed, PES has surely showed the value of that this year.

That said, the whole console releases could have been better off being delayed by a few months. Sony have already said game recording on PS4 won't be ready and will be available via a patch, as will using voice chat on third party headphones. This sort of stuff should really be available at launch.

I think I'm gonna swap my pre-order for just the basic console with no gsmes, and get them separately on launch day down my local shops. At least then I can decide what games to get right up until launch day. I presume most places will have games in stock, it's only the consoles that are in short supply, right?

Just looked online and it says that game capturing is avail on day one but only via the built in system. External hdmi re ordering isn't avail at launch but will be patched to work

MS are hilarious. They say 360 wheels aren't compatible with XB1 but reassure us that some Madcatz wheel will deliver a superior experience. Hmm. Not sure these wheels will better my Fanatec, which bizarrely isn't going to work on XB1 despite being a Forza branded wheel.

Ironically it will work just fine on PS4. Which is nice, considering I only bought the thing less than a year ago.

Seems like I'm getting KZ despite not wanting to pay full price for it. I had to swap my pre-order because Watchdogs was delayed, but shopto only offer a tiny number of replacemrnt bundles, including not being able to downgrade to just the console on its own. I did want the PS4 on its own then to get FIFA and BF4 separately, as I don't feel KZ will be worth paying full price.

Look like I either cancel the pre-order, which I don't want to do, or get it with Killzone at what I think is an inflated price :(

It's a first world problem to be sure but all these restriction are putting me off ever pre-ordering in the future. If a game is delayed then I should at least have the option of getting just the console on its own. Forcing me to get another game bundle at my expense or lose my place in the queue is a bit crap really.

Do they not indicate how long after launch it'll be then?

Shopto have confirmed I'll get mine by launch, I was tempted to get the Killzone bundle with the camera and extra pad but don't wanna wait into 2014 for it. I've never pre-ordered with Shopto before but I'm hoping they'll deliver on the 29th Nov.

No they've said they'll have a better idea after November 4th and will let me know then where I stand on the pre-order (and what bundle I can get if any).

Apparently it's been confirmed Sweden are getting no bundles of any kind they're only selling the core PS4, tossers. So definitely be spending my money outside Sweden, preferably through Amazon then I know the warranty will be good.
 
Are you guys aware of the rumors of Cod and Titanfall running at 720p on Xbone? (from several sources)

Along with reports of the OS crashing at least once per session in its current state?

It exploded overnight over at NeoGAF.
