Xbox One Suffers System Malfunction At Comic-Con Numerous Times
Could this be Red Ring of Death part 2?
Most likely not, but Microsoft had to shut down all Xbox One systems a couple times at Comic-Con, reps at the show told SKNR.
According to the site, While most of the crashes were minor, for a good part of Saturday morning, Xbox One demo systems were powered down and replaced with a panel instead while MS tech investigated the problems.
But the interesting point here is now news about the console crashing numerous times at E3 has been unearthed by Pallab Chatterjee of Media and Entertainment Technologies. According to Pallab, during numerous attempted meetings at E3 the system crashed repeatedly, thus explaining why the one-on-one meetings were ended. Pallab also revealed to SKNR that that they had 6 to 7 attempts at meetings and each time the hardware was unable to be stable enough to complete the demonstration and that the issues seem to remain at Comic Con, as this had been an ongoing problem over the weekend.
Even Sony Comic-Con booth people confirmed the Xbox One crashes with much glee, added SKNR.
It’s a bit troubling that Xbox One has been failing so many times at these gaming events but the media has made no mention of it. But more troubling, to me at least, is the fact the system’s already seeing these issues. And one may argue that the console isn’t out on the market yet and we shouldn’t worry, but with Microsoft’s poor track record on hardware, where millions of Xbox 360 systems died through RRoD, this is very disconcerting.
Just drop it altogether and wait til spring for the new consoles. Not sure getting one day 1 is worth it at all this time. Maybe even leave it til next Christmas even; better price, more games, better value etc, plus we'd have seen more than enough of both consoles.
How come you didn't mention the PS4 crashing at the same events?

I'll press on with the pre-order, there are still plenty of games I'll be able to swap it out for that I'm interested in playing. I'm apparently one of the few around who seem to really enjoy the Killzone series, I'm looking forward to Drive Club and Battlefield 4, and also intrigued to see how much different FIFA14 will be.
Besides, there's no way the prices of the consoles will change in the next year, barring a Nintendo style sales fiasco, which won't happen with the big two. I'm also in no doubt which console I want to get, not only for the games, but also for the fact that I still think MS will phase in their original plans over time. I also find their apparent intentions on using Kinect to generate revenue to be a piss-take.
Drive Club delayed until Spring? Oh FFS.
Well, I'm gonna press on with buying it anyways, I've still got, erm, FIFA14 which I'm looking forward to in the light of PES this year. I'm still up for BF4 and Killzone. Those, and other PS3 games will keep me occupied until other games come out, but I must admit, it's not a good launch line up for either console really. PS4's is particularly shite at the moment.
As for buying launch hardware, they'll all be first generation whether bought now or in Spring, so I may as well get it now.
And than Sony drops this bomb:
http://jogos.uol.com.br/ultimas-not...er-playstation-4-custara-r-3999-no-brasil.htm
PS4 will cost incredible 1.350,00 Euros in Brazil, official price, no joking!
And there was plp thinking the Xbox One price(750 Euros) was bad...
1.350 €??? That's absolutely unacceptable. Do you know the reason why?
With all the abusive taxes and the profit to the company already taken in consideration:
399 dollars would be be 930 dollars tops, which is already absurd.
But the price they are selling here is 1850 dollars approximately.
So yea! It ain't all taxes, its just the best market to invest in the world since people buy everything without even thinking about it.
Its the same with cars and electronics around, its half taxes half market value. People pay for it, so why not profit?
Really agree here, the next generation launch line up is starting to look rather shite.
If I hadn't of played next gen FIFA at Eurogamer I would of cancelled my pre-order now.

To replace the title, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download shadow-puzzle-platformer Contrast free-of-charge instead and be offered access to an "Open Weekend" trial of Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer on December 28-29
Seems like there's really no point picking up a new console next month other than to well, just have a new piece of kit. Going to wait and see what this Steambox thing is all about before I pick up a PS4.
Bloke I know works at gamestation and has played Killzone (?) and Fifa14 on the Xbox1 for a period of time and said the controller is a joy to behold.
He also said Fifa looks and plays fantastic - and he aint one for footbll.
Just read that watchdogs has been delayed until spring 2014
You starting clubs up again then... without the sulking!
Somewhat off-topic but I saw a documentary the other week about the current problems setting in in Brazil because of the credit card fiasco now coming to light. To put it simply, the program stated that the idea of "credit" was new for Brazil and Brazilians (introduced in the last 10 years or so) and the interest charges were bordering on criminal. So people didn't really understand the concequences (with an example being someone who couldn't pay a $1000 creditcard bill now owes $12.000 just on interest after a year or two). This has created an exaggerated credit society (compared to the US) which has driven prices up (ala PS4) whilst creating a fictional wealth that is coming back to haunt a lot of Brazilians.
Do you guys recognise any of that?
