my argument for the pc v next gen is this, you can have the most up to date pc there is costing ten times a PS4 but if developers choose not to develop to its maximum capability or even not at all its useless for gaming and we are seeing signs of that already (Ignite engine for one)

Developers will always lean to the majority and the majority are console owners.

I currently am a happy (ish) PC gamer - not impressed with the FIFA announcement for PC and i have been toying with upgrading my GPU frommy 560ti but think im going to wait it out and maybe go to a PS4
 
Woah! those prices have surprised me, especially the PS4. At that price I might get it at launch, currency converter brings that to around £230.
 
And also ppl need to realize that the DRM and used game policies are demands from the publishers not Sony and Microsoft that's why one hasn't said there not doing it and gain sales that way

Think I've read somewhere Sony won't be losing on console sales this time.

Maybe buying by the bulk in 100,000s drives the prices of materials way down. Guess that's how it works.

a few i can remember. He predicted that Bordeland would be a failure as nobody likes to play cartoonish bs, i think he predicted that a WII HD would be release in 2010 or early 2011 max, then he said he would eat his hat off if journey got the game of the year award from developers (which of course it did get) as he thinks indies aren't worth considering as they are not triple As games. He is also alwasy defending game companies abusing employees on the basis that if u are paid well u should work 24/7 and shut the f. up.

I'd be very surprised if they make money on the PS4 at all, even when economies of scale are taken into consideration. As far as I'm aware the PS3 continued to lose money deep into its life cycle.

Not that it matters anyway. The loses should be easy to recover through software, peripherals and online subscriptions.

That videogamer.com article doesn't mention Forza 5's resolution anyway? Says it will run at 60fps, that's it.
