So much trash talking! I hope the fight lives up to the hype because these 2 can never shut up! Even after one gets his ass whooped, he'll still be talking trash probably.

A quote from Evans which i don't like the sound of at all

'Haters are gonna hate, but I gotta get back to doing me'

This to me means he is going to go back to wrestling and we may see a boring Koshcheck/GSP style fight if Evans can take him down easilly

Would wrestling work against Rampage though? He's strong enough just to shove Rashad off I'd have thought.

From another forum I'm on- People who know people who train at Wolfslair, Ramapge is in dreadful shape, and gases quick. He's got alot of ring rust too. I say Evans by Decision.

rampage is based on wrestling anyway, so i don't think that would work so well against him. what will work is to get him tired and mix it up. striking and wrestling.

rampage is never normally in shape, not like some of the fighters. however he can knock people out if he lands so i expect rashad to avoid that and do alot of movement.

i think it will be a good fight and hopefully there is some aggression involved considering how they used to face off, i would hate to see them do the opposite now, they should both try and rip eachother to bits

doubt it will be like that, people look for the W now at any cost

we'll see

glad i didnt stay up for this, just watched the recording this morning

rampage was shit obviously fitness was an issue as he couldn't push or even go for the finish when it was there to be took

glad he didn't win as i couldn't be assed watching him fight again

Quinton looked awful and it wasnt a great main event. Also I am getting sick of seeing fights in the Octagon/cage these days. It benefits wrestlers too much, too many fights see wrestlers just pin the opponent against the cage. Fights in the ring are a better spectacle for the fans!

Sanchez v Hathaway

Wow, very impressive from Hathaway! Nullified Diego's attacks very effectively with his reach. And what knee in the first round, that

would have ended most people to be fair. That was a 30-27 for me, good fight.

Lil' Nog v Brills

Not a bad fight, quite tactical. Brills showed great heart and spirit and deserved the win in my opinion. 29-28 to Brills I had it as.

Bullshit decision.

Duffy v Rossow

What a crazy fight! He literally threw about 5 punches in the whole fight! Fair play for taking those big shots early on. Duffy

got majorly gassed and then dropped.

Bisping v Miller

Hmm, something about Bisping is just so uninspiring. A win's a win and all that but he should be finishing fights if he wants to be

taken seriously as a challenger for the title imo.

Rampage v Rashad

Shit fight but fair play to Rashad, he did what he had to. Rashad was too quick for Rampage. Third round was a bit better. Could see a rematch coming actually...

Maybe because both said they'd both like a rematch so it wouldn't actually be much of a surprise?

dunno why Bravo here in the UK doesnt pick up the Dream events in Japan. They could just use the HDNet feed so they wouldnt have to worry about the japanese commentary putting people off from watching.

People need an alternative to UFC..

Excellent :TU:

Never seen any MMA apart from UFC/WEC/Strikeforce as I've only been watching a year or so, looking forward to this.

I have to agree with Kobashi. There are a lot of elements of that main event that would have been different in a ring. And if they changed it to Pride's judging system, where the winner was based on who won the fight vs. Round by Round must system. Truth is, if a fighter takes a guy down and does nothing for 2 rounds, and then clearly gets whooped in the 3rd...why should that guy win. And yes, Wrestling is way too important in the UFC. We are getting a lot of boring fights. I really wish ju-jitsu guys were more effective, so that wrestlers would be afraid to take them down. I would like to see the little Nog vs Brilz fight. Especially if it was tactical. Because it is so rare to get a good tactical fight in the UFC these days :(

Very good points. True.

But also, if you truly get your ass kicked and someone completely dominates a round like being close to knocking other person out, though very rarely, they would win that round 10-8 rather than usual 10-9. So in that case, you wouldn't lose the fight because you lost the other 2 rounds marginally 10-9.

10-8 is a possible round score as well, though very rarely used.

But anyway, I agree with you. UFC could benefit from certain changes.

Its been said for ages that the scoring system is all wrong and recent fights have just bought it to the forefront again

problem with the scoring is that UFC/Strikeforce etc are tied the Athletic State Commission when promoting there events. Even if they wanted to use the Pride scoring system they wouldnt be allowed.

I am pretty sure Pride were forced to use the Nevada state commission scoring system and rules when they promoted in Las Vegas.

I'm not downloading 9GB on Virgin, who cap me to 300Kb/s for 5 hours as soon as I download 2GB. Virgin are shite.
