Who cares
MMA is a sport where you need to appreciate THE FIGHT

really, who cares about who is the champion

it's like WWE

Who is the champ at WWE?
who cares

All I care is a good wrestling match

Now, in my eyes, Machida IS NOT THE CHAMPION

I went to the fight in Staples Center, Los Angeles, and believe me, Shogun Rua won

So if the judges say Shogun is not the champion, I don't care

as a fan of MMA I've learned to pay no attention to belts, decisions...

Now, everybody here is complaining about Velasquez not fighting for the interim title

Well, to be honest with you, Brock will undergo surgery, and Mir or Carwin might be the interim champion

Then, whoever wins that belt, will face vs the winner of Velasquez vs Noguera, and (if Brock is not healthy by then), that one will be the real champion

SO THE REASON Velasquez is not going to fight for the interim belt is simple

He is already scheduled to fight Nogueira

Personally, I believe UFC should have a leader board and don't rush into belts
Fans deserve to know who is #1, who is #2... so all these debate can be resolved

Like MLB, NFL, Soccer... they all have rankings right?
Why not UFC?

They are a sport to begin with, they are not WWE

So if they want to do something serious, they should put rankings based on performance

So in my eyes, Velasquez defeated this guy who is a no body in the UFC (I don't know why they fought).
Velasquez defeated Congo

but Mir defeated Congo in a more impressive way.

So, if I would be calling the fights over there, I would schedule

1) Frank Mir vs Carwin
2) Velasquez vs Nogueira

The 2 winners fight for the interim heavyweight title

But again, for me, it's about enjoying the sport now

Who is the champ is SO SUBJECTIVE I don't care anymore

I think at 205 the #1 contender should be Rampage (not Shogun)
and at 185 I think the #1 contender should be Dan Henderson

Rampage defeated Jardine and Dan Henderson, he also defeated Wanderlei, he was next in line for the title, but they made him to TUF instead

I hope you can make a run at the title with REAL fighters now
that is the only thing that was missing from UFC Undisputed 2009

that game is awesome to play friendly, or to play online
but I was never able to use real fighters, and make a run at the title, and defend the title

as 99% of the video games, they will avoid this feature until later stages of development

I wouldn't be surprised if we learn about the total features around May, and it might be too late

Does anybody knows if they will force you to use created players again to make a run at the title?

Don't get me wrong i would love to see Mir and Lesner fight again but its just wrong him getting this chance so soon after he was beaten by him

Give him Velasquez and Carwin to prove his worth them let him at Brock

I feel that massive post by you gamingaccess was very contradicting. You want it to just be about good fights, and then you say you want a leader board for top contender, then you say the belt means nothing. Very confusing there. Well, the leader board would be based on decisions and the idea of just wins, and not how you are winning.

The current way they are able to be flexible with their match ups and focus on fights people want to see and not just #3 challenger vs #4. Are they doing that, not really, likely working off their own internal board and a little off sherdog.

You say some things I really agree with, and then contradict them. But yes, like I said with will be almost a 4 fighter tournament to see who the interim champ will be. Hopefully Brock will be healthy when this all clears up. Then if Brock wins...they work out a way to make Fedor happen :D

About the video game...should I hold off until may 2010...or just get the old game?

Well, yeah it's contradicting
I like good fights
and I WISH the title/belt would be given to the guy that deserves it

The best example is Anderson Silva vs this guy from Brazil Tales Leites
when a fighter cleans up a division you can see bad matches like that.

So I agree with Coopz, Frank Mir doesn't deserves a title belt after only one win

But Carwin does!
So I guess, this one I'll be cheering for Carwin :)

I would say wait but I am someone who traded it in for Fight Night Rnd 4. I found the career mode a drag and major boring!

Might as well pick it up now. It's on Classics/Platinum so you can get it for £15 anyway (or whatever that translates to in $ I guess).

Strikeforce Evolution was easily the best MMA event I've seen, every fight was superb and had great action! :APPLAUD:

I was gonna put all that last night after i watched it and now you have both beat me to it today

Cracking event especially the title bout

Hopefully WEC will be good which ill watch tonight

That Cung Le guy is insane, feels like watching my friends play Street Fighter IV

real martial artist that guy,

I thought 99.9% he was going to win
super impressive from the jaws of defeat comes victory!

I watched WEC 45 and it was another brilliant event and it had subs, plenty of action and some very nice finishes

Check out one of the knock downs halfway through it, you will know which i mean after you have seen it  (ill post a vid if not)

Good luck in picking Fight of the Night in this

BAM! Good fight overall. I'll grab the rest of the fights methinks :TU:.

On another note, yet again Mazzagatti proves he's an awful ref, when are they going to get rid of that guy from the sport? He's dangerous.

Gutted! :(

They better get someone as nice as Logan as a replacement!

At least Arianny is staying

Good WEC event really, with the main event being interesting/controversial/technical/good action.

For everybody that was saying that Fedor is or belongs as #1
If he would be fighting in the UFC, I think he can beat everybody and truly be #1
so Fedor stays at #3

I've personally seen Miguel Torres a couple of times in Las Vegas, I have his autograph too, he's a top of the world fighter

I don't get it, he looses one fight and suddenly he's not up there???

And Fitch is up there?

man, I was really surprised to see the Top 10 pound for pound list without him

1. Anderson Silva (25-4)
2. Georges St. Pierre (19-2)
3. Fedor Emelianenko (31-1, 1 NC)
4. Lyoto Machida (16-0)
5. B.J. Penn (15-5-1)
6. Jose Aldo (16-1)
7. Jon Fitch (21-3, 1 NC)
8. Mike Thomas Brown (22-5)
9. Brian Bowles (8-0)
10. Thiago Alves (16-6)
