I forgot to add Houston Alexander has been cut and it serves him right after that last fight really

He's supposed to be pretty good though, isn't he?

Although from watching TUF S04, it seems the UFC are ruthless at cutting people anyway.

Not really ever been that good

Just known for his wild fights in which he knocks people out quickly or more likely gets beat trying

That's why his last fight should have been very good with them both going toe to toe but he wasn't up for it

he is dangerous and aggressive (usually)

which Dana likes, you have probably noticed from the TUF's that Dana doesn't like people who don't want to fight.

Houston did exactly the opposite from what Dana would of wanted.. i.e step up toe to toe and fight which houston is known for but he obviously changed his mind, there is nothing wrong with strategy but when you run away then that is a different matter that is not going to wash with Dana

he may have houston back and if he does i think he would of learnt his lesson and may go back to fighting rather than running

Dana is full of contradictions though. I remember him cutting one guy as he gassed in a fight and Dana would say that fighters in the UFC should have the right stamina an d conditioning etc.

Well I guess that went out the window as Kimbo was gassing hard. Phil Baroni is a known gasser, Mark Coleman gasses in every single fight he has and he has been like this for the last 5 years.

Check out the 107 weigh ins as well (YES! YES! Chants and all) and the staredown with Mir/Congo and Sanchez/Penn

Mir has certainly got into Congos head but is that a good or bad idea?

and Sanchez looks well up for it but BJ is kinda calm seemingly really confident about what hes gonna do, cant wait for 107 now after this build up and seeing how the up for it the fighters look

the video is down the page a little

Pudzianowski strongman after fight said , he have contract for another four fights in MMA.Promises to be interesting.

Regarding Dan Henderson, he was smart and never signed away his likeness to the UFC so he should be in the EA MMA game.

Would love to know what other fighters have refused to bow down to UFC pressure.

I think i'm gonna have a few bets for tonight

Guida, Congo and Sanchez just because they are all underdogs :)

I've just had a cheeky fiver on Florian, Mir and Sanchez in an accumulator @ 6.65/1 :)).

Anyone else setting their alarm for 2:55am to watch it live?

Watching it at that time spoils if for me

By the time the main event comes at 5:30 everyone is very tired and with drinking beer as well its understandable. That happened for UFC 100, we were all up for it early on but as the hours rolled on we all lost motivation

Back to Bravo time at 9 on a Sunday for me is perfect so we are all fresh and alert :)

Has anyone ever watched the Worlds Strongest Man tournaments on TV?

If you have you will recognise former winner Mariusz Pudzianowski who is going into MMA and making his debut this weekend

Maybe he will throw the guy out of the cage for a instant win

Yeah I saw the results
[spolier]he lost by TKO at 0:44[/spolier]

At what weight did he fought?

Coleman didn't gassed out against Stephan Bonnar

Nah I couldn't stay up from Saturday morning right through til the end of the event. But going to sleep and then waking up at 3 is OK I think.

UFC should do 2 events per month

one in Europe, one in USA

here in USA it's always at 7PM

But I will like them to go to UK + Europe more often

The problem is that when they do go to UK, they transmit the fight 5 hours later, so you have to be very careful of spoilers, websites, friends

Oh really?! You don't get it live when it's in the UK, how odd! The one in Australia will be good as that will air live in the UK at about 9am .

Everybody, let's move to Australia!!!

Wanderlei is fighting there too, so you see ALL events live! :)

Well, yeah I'm still trying to know how or where can I watch the fights live

haha, it's funny but if I want to watch it live, Internet baby, I use the internet :BSCARF:

Rampage is a killer heel!! UFC have to let this guy cut killer promo's.

“Now, I wanted to let my fans know that I'm going to come back to the UFC & finish my contract. Not because the haters are talking s--t about me being scared of Rashad or Titties or anybody else. I'm coming back for my fans & to shut Rashad's mouth up & shut Dana's mouth up. Then after that I'm going back to doing movies & I might do a boxing match once a year just to stay in shape. Hate on dis!” -- Quinton Jackson on his personal blog discussing his MMA future.

UFC 107

KenFlo didn't let me down, great fight! Total bloodbath, his elbows are mint. Great boxing displayed too, his new training camp definitely paid off.

Wow, Frank Mir, fair play! I haven't liked him that much in the past but a great display tonight, great punch and then choked him out cold. Dunno what Kongo was doing though with his hands down so early on in the fight?!

BJ totally outclassed Sanchez, leagues apart. If Sanchez is the no 1 contender then BJ has nothing to worry about at all! His takedown defence is absolutely outstanding. Just a total mismatch really.

Holy fuck that cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About my predictions
Well my predictions were good, but hey, I don't agree with the No 1 contender.
Diego is a good fighter, but come on, he was fighting for the belt because he's next in line. Like Dan Hardy, he is in line for the title, but is he really the No 2 in the world? No, the problem is that when a champion cleans a division, then his fights are not as hard as they should be. I agree with Joe Rogan, BJ is in another level.

Anderson Silva is the best pound for pound
GSP is right there

And then is BJ

All the others fighters are not up there with time

I was really impressed by Frank Mir though, but again, in terms of brute force and wrestling skills, Brock is waaaaaaay ahead of Frank Mir.

Oh yeah, when I said that about no 1 contender, I wasn't having a go at Sanchez, just saying how far ahead of everyone else that BJ is! Sanchez is a warrior man, most people would have been finished in the 1st round, but Diego showed great heart to take it to a 5th.

Damarques Johnson hit a superb triangle choke after an upkick in one of the other prelims too, very nice stuff.

Dan Hardy is #10, #15.... I don't know, but he's fighting for the title

the No 1 contender status basically means you're next in line

it has no relationship (sometimes it can) with your actual ranking

if fighter #1 already defeated 2, 3, 4
If fighters #5, 6, 7 are in strikeforce

there you have a #1 vs #8

The worst match in that line of "No 1 contender matches" was Anderon Silva vs this brazilian guy Leites
