From what I read the WEC main event Cerrone vs Henderson was special, and most peoples fight of the year, even over Nog and Couture

Just watched it and it was pretty good!

How the hell did Henderson get out of those submissions?! Well fought to both fighters, good match!

Massive for Strikeforce if they get him. Not sure if they can afford to pay him more than the current UFC deal though. Wouldnt be surprised if Dan fights in Japan for the big NYE show.

Dan Henderson’s career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship has ground to a close in a contract stalemate, and the former two-division PRIDE champion appears on the verge of signing a deal with the rival Strikeforce promotion.

Henderson, 39, devastatingly knocked out Michael Bisping in the second round of their heavily hyped fight on July 11 at UFC 100 in Las Vegas, in the final fight of his contract.

The two-time former U.S. Olympic wrestler had hoped to use that victory as a springboard to a middleweight title match against Anderson Silva.

But Silva and his manager, Ed Soares, weren’t keen on fighting Henderson again and didn’t think he’d done enough to warrant a rematch. Silva submitted Henderson in the second round of their title fight at UFC 82 on March 1, 2008. Since then, Henderson defeated Rousimar Palhares, won a split decision over Rich Franklin and knocked out Bisping.

UFC president Dana White went back-and-forth on whether he’d make Silva-Henderson II, but said at UFC 103 in Dallas that he would give the next shot at Silva to Vitor Belfort, after Belfort scored a first-round knockout of former middleweight champion Rich Franklin.

Henderson could not be reached for comment Friday, but White confirmed he was unable to come to terms with Henderson. White indicated the company’s contractual right of first refusal had expired and they would not seek to match contract offers Henderson may receive. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker did not return phone calls.

White, though, said he wanted to re-sign Henderson but couldn’t agree on the money in a new deal.

“We have a good relationship with Henderson, and there are no hard feelings,” White said. “He had a figure he believed he was worth, and we had our own figure, and we weren’t able to get together.”

Henderson is 25-7 overall and 5-2 in the UFC. He is the only man in mixed martial arts history to simultaneously hold championships in two different weight classes. He was its 183-pound champion when he knocked out Wanderlei Silva to become its 205-pound title-holder as well.

He moved to the UFC after defeating Wanderlei Silva and was immediately put into a PRIDE vs. UFC championship match against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 75 on Sept. 8, 2007, in London. Jackson won a unanimous decision.

White said he was disappointed to lose Henderson, but said he was confident the UFC would be able to recover.

“We always find a way,” White said.

With Shane stepping down at WWE, wouldn't surprise me if he starts his own MMA company or buys into one.

Strikeforce was the first thing that I thought he might be looking to invest in.

It will be hard because the UFC have most of the big names and i cant see White giving them up easily

Dream 12

With a week out from the first caged fight card in the promotional history, DREAM has announced additional bouts for DREAM 12, scheduled for Oct. 25 at Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, Japan.

DREAM welterweight champion, Marius Zaromskis (12-3), who has been prominently featured in the promotional poster and trailer for the event, returns to action in a non-title bout against a Korean prospect, Myeon Ho Bae (8-4).

In the Middleweight department, Katsuyori Shibata (3-6-1) takes on Tokimitsu Ishizawa (7-1-3) in a showdown between pro-wrestlers, and Kazushi Sakuraba (25-12-1) returns for the second consecutive appearance this month to replace Melvin Manhoef against Zelg Galesic (9-4). Moving down the scale, Keisuke Fujiwara (4-0-1) squares off with Tomoya Miyashita (12-5-6).

Zaromskis makes his first DREAM appearance since winning the organization’s welterweight grand prix at DREAM 10. A Lithuanian native training out of London Shootfighter, Zaromskis cut his teeth in UK’s Cage Rage before making his DREAM debut.

He entered the welterweight tourney as a virtual unknown and considerable underdog: He sent a shockwave through the MMA world by upsetting tournament favorite, Hayato “Mach” Sakurai in the semi-final round with a high-kick TKO before dispatching Jason High with high-kick yet again to snatch the inaugural DREAM welterweight title.

His opponent, Bae is a veteran of M-1 and MARS who makes his DREAM debut. Having won seven of his last eight fights, Bae looks to maintain his momentum against Zaromskis.

Katsuyori Shibata recently snapped his losing streak with a unanimous decision victory over Ikuhisa Minowa at DREAM 8. His opponent and fellow pro-wrestler, Tokimitsu Ishizawa, returns to MMA for the first time in nearly three years. A veteran of now defunct K-1 Hero’s and PRIDE, Ishizawa notched the most significant victory of his career in 2000 when he defeated the outlaw of Gracie clan, late Ryan Gracie.

Fujiwara, a featherweight ZST prospect, makes his leap to the big stage to take on DEEP veteran, Miyashita. Despite having only five professional bouts under his belt, Fujiwara has been rising through the ZST ranks with undefeated streak. Miyashita, on the other hand, has won four of his last five fights.

Finally, Japanese MMA legend, Sakuraba, who returned to action at DREAM 11 after a 10-month layoff, now breaks a two-and-half week hiatus to take on Mirko Cro Cop understudy, Zelg Galesic. Sakuraba scored a quick submission victory over MMA debutant, Rubin Williams, at DREAM 11, while Galesic last fought at DREAM 6 more than a year ago. Galesic lost to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in the semi-final round of DREAM Middleweight grand prix via submission.

Following is an updated line-up for DREAM 12:

* Zelg Galesic vs. Kazushi Sakuraba
* Tokimitsu Ishizawa vs. Katsuyori Shibata
* Marius Zaromskis vs. Myeon Ho Bae
* Keisuke Fujiwara vs. Tomoya Miyashita
* Paulo Filho vs. Yoon Dong Sik
* Chase Beebe vs. Yoshiro Maeda
* Eddie Alvarez vs. Katsunori Kikuno
* Kuniyoshi Hironaka vs. Won Sik Park

Cerrone v Henderson was quite a good fight. What was Cerrone complaining to the ref about when he was on the bottom in Round 2?

All me and my mates could think of is that he felt the guy pass out for a few seconds from the sub and he was telling the ref

I don't think he had him in a sub though, it seemed to be just after Cerrone had landed a good shot on Hendersons face from the bottom. Maybe he thought for a second he had KO'd him?

if Rua is back to his old self, what i mean his pride days not his first fights in the UFC (he looked good on his last fight), then it will be an awesome fight

Rua will walk forward and i don't think machida can avoid him to much and i think you will see a different fight here, than you normally see with macheda

my money is on Rua

You can get good odds for Rua to win with William Hill mate, you should have a bet :)). I might do too! Looking forward to it though! I think I will DEFINITELY get up at 3am to watch it live.

TUF S10E06

Rampage is really fucking annoying, it has to be said. He was talking more about "Titties" than he was coaching Zak!

Decent fight and I kept half expecting the ref to stop the fight when Zak was pounding down but it was a good triangle and Darrill did his job, good stuff.

Still hoping Kimbo gets another shot.

TUF 10x06

Yeah, Rampage is getting annoying now, but sometimes says some funny things! I hope Rashad knocks him out if they do fight.

The Zak v Darril fight was one of the better ones, even though it didn't last too long. I thought the ref might stop it when Darril was teeing off on Zaks face!!! Nice triangle when it was in deep, though a better and more rounded fighter would have escaped it a lot earlier on. That's the problem with these guys, as they are not the best fighters it only takes one mistake for the fights to finish.

TUF
yea, he was to busy pounding the guys face (he could of slipped out easily for a while)

wanted Zak to win, least he showed them he had heart

he didn't tap

I really couldn't decide who I'd rather won. I liked Zak as he's very modest and the others are really giving him a hard time, unfair and a bit nasty of them.

Felt sorry for Darrill and all of that "Titties" nonsense though and I wanted him to win to shut Rampage up as we wouldn't have heard the end of it if Zak won.

Forgot to say that the picture Rampage had done was pretty funny

The winners of the pre's fight then. Can't remember as it's been a while since I watched TUF 9 (which you should get, Tim.)

Yep, last years was very good (although I haven't seen any others). I'd like to watch the previous ones if I could get my hands on them though.

Yeah there are some really good TUF seasons

8 was good just due to the antics in the house oh and 5 for the same reasons :)

Guys, don't forget in the UK, clocks go back one hour tonight at 2am! So technically UFC104 will start at 2am tonight. Because at 2am the clocks go back to 1am, then it's another hour from that, which is 2am again. Hope I explained that right!!!
