Microsoft Xbox 360

Thought as much, can't afford the full sports pack (and I wouldn't want to get the single one, otherwise you miss half the games). Stuff them.

Bit spooky really, as when I was telling my missus about this yesterday evening, this is EXACTLY how I described how I think it should work! Dunno when these pics were released, but first I saw of them was 5 mins ago on F365...
 
Haha that would be pretty good with your mates online

But it would work just as well in party chat with a full picture on the screen, you cannot beat watching footy with mates for all the banter that goes on so they are onto something

Also said to my missus that they should release 'kits' in the avatars - and even if licensing was an issue, then just do 'basic' kits, i.e. a red shirt for Liverpool, blue for Everton, white for spurs etc.

That way you can be in a room with all your mates decked out in footy gear for the match :LOL:
 
Watching the match like that would be great, but I'm not paying £35 a month for the privelage, would rather go to the pub instead and spend £35 there.

They did Football Badge Avatars for prem teams Fifa 07 but when Derby came to the Prem in 08 they stopped making them :RANT:

And i would have thought it would be free for existing Sky subscribers as is the stuff on the PC

Why wouldn't you want to watch it full-screen? Stuff the gimmicks. Perhaps it's like that purposefully because the quality isn't going to be very good (watching Setanta on their site isn't a good experience, it's like watching TV through a PCTV card - i.e. lots of movement corruption)...

I guess there will be a button for full screen as there is on everything on XBL

Won't bother the people will TVs over 40" anyway
 
Windowed mode is only an option, you can watch full screen if you want.

You can flick back to the full-screen view of the match at any time, and keep talking away to the rest of your party even when the avatars aren't on screen. As with the regular Sky Sports service you'll be able to access special features such as match stats, fixture lists, news updates and so on. But the real highlight, as far as Johnson's concerned, is being able to watch sporting events with your friends without having to be in the same room.

Was thinking it would be, I'd only use a feature like that when someone scored though, even then I don't see too much point in it. It would be just as easy (and more practical) to have everyone watching the game in a party chatting over the mics. You could do that now.

I'm just bitter because of the price, ignore me. ;)
 
Stupid price, you could go to the stadium and watch a game (maybe 2) a month for that, so much better than watching even 4 games at home on your TV :LOL:.

No :LOL:. Cheers mate. Think I'll stick to Sky HD then for most games. Though sometimes it will be good to chat and watch.
 
Great video, I love the game but I can't buy it again ! I think I own 3 versions already :D.
 
sorry for interupting the chat but my xbox keeps freezing like almost every game i try and play. is there any possible way to fix it or that?
 
Freezing and locking up completely or stuttering throughout? If it's the latter you can try the old cache clearing process.

If it locks up completely it could be return to where you bought it time.
 
since the new dashboard my xbox freezes for about 5 secs per menu when accessing the guide button

if i clear the cache it fixes it, but it returns soon after
 
I had the same issue but after a few months of not clearing my cache it didn't happen again. Well, apart from when I press the guide button in FIFA 09 or Battlefield Bad Company (which I've only just rebought), trying to get to the bit where you can write a message to someone takes about two minutes if I'm playing either one of those.
 
fifa 09 it happens all the time for me, as thats all i play. i have fifa 09 installed to the hdd, maybe that makes a difference as with the previous dash it obviously wasn't installed to the hdd

i will clear the cache, remove fifa from hdd, delete alot of junk and people off my friends list and see if things improve

Yep mine gets that bad sometimes too. I just delete the cache though :)).
 
Could be because your on EA servers and then when you press the guide to bring up menus etc, the EA servers have to bump you back onto MS's Live servers causing the delay in FIFA and BF:BC
