Manchester United Thread

the prem. has world wide attention why does the CL has 4 EPL teams? o.k. still it has clout...why in the US they show all prem. matches than any other league? Fan bases determine the outcome not the probability....take it easy csaunders

BRILLIANT points there Bebo. :applause:

Language comes into account also :P They wouldn't show any matches from Spain/Germany unless they had english commentators. That and those are expensive PPV channels.

Although, I do have four spanish channels, but only because I live in California :P

I get four spanish channels and one asian (it's a mix of everything at different times of the day), and that's all the foreign language I have. And any channels I have available to order are ONLY english. I only have the option of ordering an EPL package, no other leagues.

Can't believe all the uproar about the 4 team title race. We actually extended our lead by one goal. I'm not saying we're going to win it (yet) but we should not be worried about still having to go to Anfield and Stamford Bridge. By the same token, their 'challenge' will be difficult because they still have to play Manchester United.

Chelsea and Liverpool have lost big games too. At the moment, we'd have to have a very bad last 14 games for others to catch up. Chelsea aren't playing well, and Liverpool and Arsenal are quite far behind. Even if we lost those two big games, we'd still be top. If we lose 2 in the next 6, maybe I'll start to worry a bit.

I think its more to do with keeping giggs and scholes fit tbh, if you can manage that it shouldnt be a problem to stay top. However if what flamini said wenger said is true, and they are getting on a bit, it could cause a loss of form/energy for the last few games, and if the gap is still near the 6 points it could get close.

Even Henry said he can't see any other team apart from United winning the title this season. I wouldn't bet against them.

just wait for the CL starts up that changes the focus quick injuries and no rest period it could get tougher for everybody

@mark thanks for the correction the piss:) i learn so much in this community

Dermot you have to remove those images because it breaks the rules of copyright, all it takes is someone to sniff through this thread and report it and this forum could go just like that and leave you with a hefty fine

I've got a few questions

I'm goin the Portsmouth game at the weekend, and probably gettin the tram to the ground and the tram back, so...

can I get the tram from Victoria station and which one is it?
and which tram is it for the way back/wheres the tram station?

You can get the tram from Victoria towards Sale/Altrincham and get off at Warwick Road and walk down Matt Busby way... unless they've changed it. I've not been in Manchester for 2 years.

Alternatively, just follow the guys wearing Red as there'll be thousands of them.

Did anybody mentioned that we didnt play badly when we lost to Arsenal? I do agree that we did looked tired towards the end...I reviewed the goals again and still blame Neville for the equalizing goal. The second goal was daft, the backline as if allowed Eboue to deliver that telling cross.Suprisingly Vidic missed to head the ball and Rio did nothing to pressure Henry.Kudos to Scholes for giving away possesion at that area in that kind of time too.I may be too critical as I am a centre-back by profession too.We should have done better and we should start tomorrow by beating Pompey at home.

Anyone see Fergie's press conference today? Old big nose was back to his best, on about the plane that flew over Carrington training ground taking photos yesterday. He said "I wonder if the pilot had a Biggles outfit and scarf on?" and went on to say "The training session yesterday was FANTASTIC. I hope they caught it on camera but the plane was so high we didn't know if it was filming us or Anfield!"
