Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

lol

Rio was awesome today. But what happened to Cisse?!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I did mention not to get carried away to the scouser supporters. Liverpool fans really believed they had upper hand because of their recent run. But their record against top opposition in the premiership isnt so great over the years. Rockykabir thought i was full of shit when mentioned this as as my posts are 'ludercris' and 'not to be take seriously' according to him.

Aswell as our 'piss take midfield worst since premiership began' managed to beat european champions.

edit: Anyone see the mental celebrations of g.neville and rooney in front of the liverpool crowd after rio hit the net?

Well first off I think you and rockykabir need to get a room and get it over and done with. You obviously hit a nerve with wot you say, but I reckon rocky should react with a bit more respect and maturity to be fair.

Yeh saw neville's reaction. As a neutral I thought it was stupid. I can see all United fans loving him for it, and everyone else thinking hes a tw*t. Great footballer, obviously not a nice guy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

enjoy it while you can boys - football has a nasty habit of biting you on the arse...:)

Yeah i would love to fight some punkass who acts like he is above me and thinks he doing something for community at same time. Total disrespect he showed and his response pathetic.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I like the way Neville's celebration makes him a twat because it was done at club level. If he did the same thing after an England 1-0 win against Germany in the World Cup in front of the German supporters, he'd no doubt be declared a national hero.
It's fucking refreshing to still see that passion in the game. Neville's loyalty to his club is an example to any player.

Inciting the opposition's fan at either club or international level is wrong. Football is a passionate game and you have some crazy fans out there in the crowd. When a player puts in an effort to run all the way across the pitch to piss off the opposition area of the crowd - its obvious what he is intending to do. And I personally find that extremely irresponsible - especially during an intense match like today.

But yeah, the people who will consider that as something heroic are the tabloids and your Daily Mail readers....but thats a different debate altogether.

However, I wouldn't be so stressed if Neville ran up to his own crowd.

What I mainly agreed with was Hutch's last line

Oh get over it. 1-0. You make yourself look even more  when you constantly reply to the posts. Just admit to defeat.

Thats the passion of footy I guess

Nothing wrong with a bit of passion, mate. We got hammered last week at SHITTY! I didn't make excuses. They beat us, and were the better team. That is football - you win some, you lose some, but you live to fight another day. :)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

The reason we got a result today was because of our defence. Rio and Brown were superb and now hopefully Fergie will realise this is the best partnership.
The central midfield again is a big, big problem which seriously needs badly sorting out. Dont we have a ball-winner type midfielder in the reserves who could maybe replace O'Shea or Fletcher?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

anyone got a comment to make about giggsy in centre mid?

Thought he played well alongside Richardson.

He played well but I thought it was a dumb decision to have Evra, Giggs and Richardson all playing at the same time when we have Fletcher on the right.
Why couldnt one of them play on the right and have Rooney in Scholes' position?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Comn on guys, lets all admit that FLetcher is just not good enough... He can't dribble, his passing is horrible. He can barely tackle, his heading is bad. Fletcher is only in the team because there is no one else to play as a midfielder.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

 I was expecting this not just on forums but from the manc fans I know which is fair enough, 'cause I'd be doing the same if we won. The game was poor no better than the one at Anfield, a fair result would have been 0-0 but you managed to nick in the end. Shrek & Donkey didn't get a look in and ironically you scored from a set piece again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

The trouble with us is that we are beating the teams up to 4th with ease, but cant get a result against the top two teams.

The trouble with the mancs is they raise their game and can beat the likes of us and Chelsea but slip up in games you think they should win, like Boro, Brum and City.

Some may say its a good sign of progress mate...I'll much prefer losing/drawing to the other top 3 teams (and winning the rest) rather than having some amazing result against Chelsea and then losing to Man City ;)

At the end of the day...its three points lost and we shouldn't lose focus on the next game.

I should be posting this in the 'Pool thread....:eh:
