Seriously dude you sound like you are some 13 year old biased arsenal fan who talks rubbish. I cant have a serious football discussion with you or any arsenal fan it seems. I would advise to get out of this thread if you got nothing better to contribute than rubbish of rumours and half ass talk that isnt substantial. I asked you some football questions and you failed to answer, only to resort to taunting the clubs failure of reaching champions league which was how long ago.

i don't actually remember you asking me any questions, i pointed out that i didn't get the "rumours" from newspapers.

i mentioned your lack of european football because someone mentioned we wouldn't have any next year.

at the end of the day i mentioned how i felt united were doing and where i thought they were going wrong and then you all jumped on how bad we are doing. i thought i was contributing something substantial until some idiot came in and started talking bollocks about how we won't qualify for europe next year.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I bet that will shut up a few of Rossi's doubters. I see him in reserve games so I've seen that kind of performance before. We havent been hyping him up for nothing.
I remember when he made his debut, it was a few days after Rooney had made his in that 6-2 win against Fenerbahce. Rossi scored that great solo goal and I remember the commentator something like "We talk about Rooney all day saying how much talent he has, well this guy is the same."
Whats nice is that he gives you something different rather than playing exactly like Rooney. If Ruud was playing instead of Saha, we would definately have got another 2-3 more. Some of the little tricks and "bits of magic" that Rossi showed was class. Especially when he did that neat turn and chip to put Saha through who then just messed it up as if he was too busy thinking about what Rossi had just pulled off.

We started off very shakey and that worried me a little bit. But then we kinda threw a lot of men forward and pilled a lot of pressure. Its when you reach this point in your transitional period where you need to stop thinking about buying players and start working on tactics and the mentality cuz you can see from today that on their day, even the fringe players can be pretty good. One of the things that impress me so much about Chelsea is how organised they are. We have people like Ronaldo in our squad who are too lazy to get back and defend and it messes up the shape of the team and exposing holes.
Today showed we can have a very threatening attack at the expense of the defence. Even Rio was joining in more often than not. But that was only because we knew they wont score easily. I;ve heard many players like Gudjohnsen and Robben say that Chelsea are very comfortable throwing people to attack cuz they know their defence is there to pick up the pieces if something goes wrong. We need to build that sort of confidence to be able to pull off performances like this against Premiership sides.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Rossi is a gem, i was pissed when saha screwed that oppotunity he provided him. Pique done very well, he looked comfortable. But we have to remember it was only against burton, but for some of the younger players it provides confidence. Bardsley looks a sure bet to take over from G.Neville, he is very focused and derterminded player who likes to get stuck in. I was hoping gor six as i predicted but the referee blew his whistle before saha could score.

I agree tactics we need to get sorted, sometimes we run out of ideas it seems against the better teams. Ronaldo lets the team imo when he doesnt track back or gives the ball away easily. I wouldnt mind pederson from blackburn, he has been linked we us recently and i could see him in a united shirt.

Well he's always doing it against us, can he do it for us? Thats the big question. But after seeing Saha today, I think I'll accept anyone if they could take up his space in the squad. It wasnt just Saha's shooting that was poor. He had many opportunites to make one on one chances for team mates using the easiest of passes but he messed those up too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I've just noticed somehting, Chelsea have offered a 7.5m downpayment for Walcott, he's never gonna go to Arsenal

GIUSEPPI ROSSI = PURE GENIUS

Well if you even read my post, you'd know that I was actually making the point that we were able to score so many cuz the opponents werent a threat and how scorelines like this wont happen too often in the Premiership.

of course we are gonna jump on how bad arsenal are doing this year, you we're invincibles a couple of years ago, all set to match our dominance in the league, at the moment your the third best team in London according to the Prem League table....

So I think we've got a point, and until Terry Henry signs a deal I wouldnt be too cocky.....

well i'm sure henry will sign a new contract.

if you're entitled to jump on how bad we are doing surely i am allowed to point out that you lot are out of europe and not having the best season yourselves.

of course you can point that out thats what a forums for...

yes going out of europe that early was a shock to us ( but only because of the standard we have set) other than that we've been doing okay for a team with NO midfield, im sure many goons would prefer to be in 2nd place instead if being below Spurs after well over half the season as passed....

i'd also honestly rather be 5th in the league, below spurs, you lot, chelsea and 'pool with a chance to redeem ourselves in the second half of the season and still be in the champions league.

fair enough, of course then your just waiting for a team to slip up, i'd rather it be in our own hands myself but what do I know....

cant say nothing about europe, for the first time in arsenals history they have are better than us in europe this season, canny argue with that...

just out of curiosity, do united fans still believe they can catch chelsea? arsenal obviously conceded it a long long time ago now. just wanted to know what you currently thought about.

i obviously know you can't but i was wondering if you still have a bit of hope.

nah no chance, obviously whislt its still "mathematically" possible everyone below them holds out/hopes for a huge fuck up, realistically though we are going for 2nd place which would be our best league finish in three years....

Personally if our time has gone (although im not convinced) , I can live with a top 4 finish and a shot at europe....

i deleted the message you quoted as i was chatting to my mate and asked him the same question, he made it out as though i was stupid for even considering it.

i was just wondering if you were in denial like we were or as vulnerable as liverpool fans to believe they actually have a chance.

to be fair its different for the scousers, if I supported a team that came back from 3-0 to win the european cup I'd believe it was possible....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

i suppose. but in all fairness i don't believe anyone will get close to chelsea this season. liverpool, at the moment are closest n terms of form and organization/tactics.

we need to rebuild over the summer(and during this month). we are both more than capable and have done it in the past. i have faith that arsene can do it again and truely believe he will.

United Aim To Make Chelsea Pay £10m For Mikel
United are ready to charge Chelsea £10million for a player who will never play for them. A court in Norway last week upheld a FIFA ruling that recognised United's contract with young Nigerian superstar John Obi Mikel. The court also ratified the agreement United had with Norwegian club Lyn Oslo that should have seen Mikel joining United this month. United now realise that the teenager wants to move to Stamford Bridge rather than Old Trafford, but the club are well within their rights to demand a transfer fee for Mikel and the bidding could start at £10m.
Matt Lawton, Daily Mail

Now thats what I'm talking about.

its gonna be more like £6 mill but its still not bad for a player we've not spent a penny on (other than legal fees)...

Plus with them getting Mikel they may not be interested in the Lyon DMF we are looking at..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

i desperatlety want united to get mascherono. This guy is quality with experince plus he is only 21 and in few years time he'll most liklely be world class. I doubt we go for him but we been linked with many midfielders so far i have no clue who united really have in mind.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Alucard...there arent many linked to us lately.Realistically they are Mahamodou Diarra,Gattuso(star buy),Mascherano and that spanish guy.Personally,I'd love to see Diarra and Gattuso playing for us.

I'm so looking forward for tomorrow.Cant wait to be them scousers.WE NEED TO BEAT THEM.Lookin forward to Vidic's debut too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

Maybe going out of Europe was a blessing in disguise. Fergie will finally realize that we are not good enough to win it. Liverpool won it with a measley defence. We need one too. I would take their midfield over ours as well.
We do need to beat them tomorrow, but I think they will stifle the game and it will finish 0-0. Unless Silvestre is playing and then I'm worried. He does make at least one big mistake every game.
As for catching Chelsea. No chance. They've drawn 1 and lost 1 in 22 games. They are awesome and will win the league by at least 20 points.

Those midfielders and a couple of unknowns aswell. I heard about dusher from deportivo, zokora, toure and john de jong, these are many. I wouldnt mind any of those you mentioned playing for us. All are strong and agressive in midfield and could add new dimension to the team.

Do you know if vidic is defintley making his debut tomorrow?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

i don't think Fergie will risk a newcomer in such a big game. He has a chance to wipe the memory of the City defeat by beating Liverpool
