Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

lol theres nothing like a derby defeat to bring out these sort of responses....

and yet in the league we're doing better than everyone bar chelsea ( and possibly lfc if they do well with their games "in hand")

so considering arsenal we're dubbed the invincibles just two seasons ago its funny to see how apparently we are the ones in free fall, if only because at the moment we cant match the standards set by ourselves....

For other united supporters all I can say is that (our poor showing in europe non withstanding) if we've managed to be better than eveyone but chelsea (and we beat them) then think what we'll be like with an improved defense and when we finally get a midfield...

the futures not as bleak as half of these muppets would have us make out...

you are run by someone who utd fans hate, u haven't won the league for 3yrs(including this year), you ain't exactly playing phenomanal footie, you are out of europe, you drew to burton(WHO!!!), you lost your captain on a free transfer, lets be honest- sir alex is losing his golden touch.

personally i don't think it has looked this good for arsenal in a while (in terms of the future). maybe thats why he said RIP here and not in the arsenal thread.

it sounds like wishful thinking on your part cos last time I looked we are eight points ahead and a much better GD than arsenal...

monday morning was fine fella, I think its only the 4th time in my life that ive seen us lose a derby, and like the other times its only cos we handed it to siddy on a plate....

as for the fighting well it goes on all the time at every club, i'd be more suprised if there was no fighting on a training pitch....

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

I've said this before and I'll say it again. If teammates argue, it only shows they care about winnning. I'd rather see them argue than accept each others performances.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

If the rumours are true what Ruud said about Ronaldo (about him not being affective enough, too many tricks, selfishness etc). You have to agree with Ruud

I know who Id rather have in the team

i honestly do believe arsenal look good for the future (if we qualify for europe this season that is!?!?!). and when i look at united they seem a bit defeated. everyone says arsenal are a one man team, and to a certain extent that is probably true. but united are relying an awful lot on rooney these days...and he's only 20. i reckon an honest united fan will admit they turn things around in a big way. signing ballack might give you the balance you need.

i won't be relaxed until we are comfortably in the CL places, but once we are we can build and become a challenge again.

Its absurd how arsenal fans think they can look down on united when we have indeed got better players and in better position in the league. Only CL is the only thing you can gloat about, but how long is that going to last? United have a better squad and just as much as a good future. High expectation to beat you recently at highbury showed that.

Its absurd to think you can look down on us!

We have finished above you for the last 2 seasons  , (I wouldn't put it past us to do it again this season as well) our youngsters are getting games in the first team and doing well (Fabregas, Van Persie, Senderos, Djourou, Eboue, Clichy (when fit!)). Our CL campaign is far from over, unlike yours!! And whilst you were expected to beat us at the beginning of the month, you didn't so thats not really an argument you can put forward.

United have some good youngsters coming through and I feel that both clubs are in a transistional period at the moment. The problem we both have is that Chelsea have unlimited resources to do what the hell they like, and as long as Ambramovich is there, everyone is going to be fighting for second.

Well yes we can look down on you because your in 5th place 8points behind us. All i hear from arsenal fans these days is all this youngster talk like your producing world class players . Most of the players you listed are only hopefulls and dont do anyting special to stand out except for get games in a weak squad lacking in depth so its only reason these youngster get games. Lets be honest what other major defender is there besides campbell and toure? djourou will get chance since there is nobody else but it doesnt mean he is some good talent for the future.. Anyway We have just as many young hopefuls and if not better. There is richardson, fletcher, bardsley, rooney, ronaldo and rossi all promising young players and just as many as arsenals but still we have quality senior players with experience who are average age to add to that which arsenal havnt really got.

As i said its the only thing you can say is the champions league campaign. But do you seriously believe you are capable of winning it with the light weight inexperienced squad currently available? If you think arsenal are gonna do liverpool your living in la la land because they dont have the midfield or defense to last through a difficult match against a big quality side. Liverpool had a solid ground in defense and in midfield where arsenal do not.

Van Persie, Fabregas, Reyes and Clichy have all proved themselves in the Premiership so far and look to have very bright futures based on recent performance not just potential.

the reason these players are getting a game is not due to not having strength in depth, the reason we aren't buying more players in their mid twenties is because Arsene wants to blood them throughly.

Firstly Fletcher has no potential, he is shit and that is pretty obvious for all to see!

As for the rest of your youth they don't get a chance any more, you may play 1 or 2 every now and then in the league but most of these players are midfielders and they only play because you don't have the strength in depth!

Well we'd only be expected to beat you if we were a stronger side so its a valid argument.

In case you didnt know, about 10 of our youth team squad members went out on loan to various clubs at the start of this season. The guys you see making appearances arent exactly the best of the bunch. Atleast do some research before pretending that you know anything about our youth team.

Oh so you have another squad lined up. Every club sends loads of players out on loan every year and hardly any of them really cut the mustard. Why would you send the best of the bunch out elsewhere are persist with lesser players then? Why not let the better players sit on the bench or cover when needed?

you're talking complete bollocks. ashley cole is not a major defender? ok then. and fletcher, the lanky streak of scottish piss is a promising player? yeah right...fabregas is younger and by far a superior player with a reasonable amount of experience. clichy?(;) ) was he not the youngest player to recieve a premiership medal? and you can hardly call rooney a promising youngster, he cost £30m and you pretty much rely on him to perform in every match.

some of your most loyal supporters have deserted the club because of how and who it is now run by. we proved on saturday that we can still perform and the fact that theo walcott is willing to join us over a variety of different clubs proves our ambtion.

I think we all recognise that Darren Fletcher should run into oncoming traffic so that we don't have to suffer his utter crapness.

Fabregas is shit though, he falls over when anyone breathes on him (much like the flying wonder Jose Dickhead Reyes) him and the rest of your midfield are completely inadequate to replace Vieira and you've really got major problems when someone attacks you.

Cliche? Who the fuck is Cliche? Don't you mean Clichy, cause that IS his real name, Just cause hes the youngest ever to win a Prem medal doesn't mean hes any good, he just played the required amount of games. He's actually one of the worst left backs I've seen, no replacement for Cole and he's looked vulnerable in every game he's played.

How many supporters are you gonna have next year when you end up in the UEFA Cup, gonna be a great way to inaugurate your new stadium, It's gonna be quieter than Highbury, and that's saying something.

Theo Walcott? Who gives a fuck about him!

Now go away back to your thread and leave us alone

Cuz we want them to develop in the right way and not be rushed into the first team. Kinda like how we sent our players on loan in the past, only for them to come back and eventually lift the European Cup. But you probably wouldnt know anything about that.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

reyes and fabregas fall down a lot....maybe you should look a little closer to home for cheaters. ronaldo, rooney, van nistlerooy, the norwegian twat and list could most probably go on. who gives a fuck about theo walcott? ...hmmm, pretty much every big club in england...oh yeah, and united. uefa cup football next year? i doubt that, we will qualify for CL this year. anyway its better than playing uefa cup football this year...oh yeah, you didn't qualify for that either, did you?

Well the only thing he's good at are the things that defenders arent even supposed to do. The guy said himself that he was brought up as a striker.

No one ever said Fletcher was better than Fabregas. Its easy to compare argueably your best young player against our worst.

Harry Kewell has a European Cup medal. You're point is..?

So let me get this straight. Just cuz Rooney cost £30million , and we rely on him in games, he's no longer considered a "promising youngster"? I didnt know paying large amounts of money causes your players to age faster.

bradley1886 said:

Our loyal supporters are still with us, hence the word loyal. In case you didnt know, all those supporters and pressure groups who were fighting against Glazer had actually accepted that there was no stopping him taking over so they instead decided to save their money (and still continue to do so) so that if something was to go wrong, the fans would be there to give Glazer any financial support if needed. THAT is what you call loyalty.

Walcott proves nothing. Teams sign players all the time. Rooney chose us over a large amount of clubs, Robben chose Chelsea over Man Utd. It happens all the time. And now just cuz a little 16 year old kid joins you, you now think your club has huge ambitions? If that was true, Henry would have signed a contract with you a looooooooooooooong time ago. Dont come here and talk about your shitty ambitions when your own captain is questioning them.

Hmm clockender didnt mention those yougsters, i was talking more of players like senderous, eboue and djorou. Those players you mentioned are good prospects (bar clichy because he hasnt done shit to warrent any praise)indeed but those players alone are not going to achieve big things anytime soon or save arsenal any tropies imo.

Arsene wenger is gambling and hopin he can repeat what alex ferguson did with bringing a bunch of players through from the academy.

Its funny how a player(fletcher) with no potential who you claim is 'shit' has made 28 first team starts this season for such a big club like manchester utd..

Your last comment is silly. We have plenty of depth in midfield besides the central position. Bardsley is a defender and has made 7 first team starts and made a number of substitute apparences on top of that. Richardson has made 12 first team starts.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread-

willing to pay that amount of money for a 16 year old "promising youngster" shows ambition to me.

and if clichy winning a chapionship medal doesn't prove he is a good player how the fuck does making appearances for a club wo are quite clearly not going to win the league make them good players?

Every big club in england? as far i know its only arsenal bidding for walcott and rumour has it chelsea has made a bid. Thats only two clubs.

Have you not looked at the table? if anything its arsenal who may end up in the uefa cup, we are 2ND and arsenal are 5th. Do you know who qualifies for what if those positions stay the same?

so if you get this walcott fellow, you think everything is going to be great and he is defintley going to handle the premiership after proving his trade in the championship division? Does this sgining mean arsenal are going on to great things and make them step closer to winining the champions league and premiership?
